    I have read in previous reviews that the service is what makes this place special. We agree wholeheartedly—but it doesn’t stop there. As Americans, who don’t speak German, but we were greeted in both languages with smiles by the staff and seated at a lovely table. Our server, Thomas, continued to advise us on the entire meal once we had a glass of champagne to start, assisting us in the selection of a very nice German wine, suggesting the incredible don’t miss it ceviche, caviar, oysters and more. What an all-around fantastic experience. The blueberry eclair perfectly topped off our late lunch. Just make the reservation—you will enjoy every minute in this beautiful and comfortable restaurant. We even decided to move to the hotel The Duchy is located in based on the welcoming and hospitable staff. No regrets—this is truly one of the better hotels we have had the pleasure of staying in.
