C&S Seafood & Oyster Bar Ratings and Reviews
Hidden inside a Kroger shopping center is this gem. The name on the building makes you want to ignore the Restaurant further. C & S. But once you are inside the doors the ambience takes on a whole new stance. The quality and elegance of the food preparation lends a special touch. The crab cake with arugula is moist and quite flavorful only surpassed by the chocolate torte with vanilla gelato.
Tonight we enjoyed the sea bass topped with crab meat, accompanied by asparagus and mashed potatoes. My intention was to have left overs since I️ usually only eat half of my entree. It was so delicious that I️ had nothing left on my plate. The other three people in our group enjoyed the same entree and it was rewarding to notice that they joined me in the “clean plate club.” Scott took great care of us and our dining experience was fantastic.
C and S Seafood was a fantastic dining experience. From the time we walked in, till the time we left, we were treated like royalty. The service was exceptional! Our waiter, Kevin, was very professional, funny, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food was fabulous. We started with the charbroiled oysters, best we’ve ever had. I had the lobster roll, hot (as recommended by Kevin) and Parmesan truffle fries and it did not disappoint. My husband had the red snapper, blackened. It was delicious. We didn’t have room for dessert but I understand they are excellent. We were celebrating our anniversary so the restaurant sent 2 glasses of champagne to our table which was awfully nice. It was a 5 Star night for sure. If you dine at C and S be sure to ask to sit in Kevin’s section. He will treat you right and keep you entertained as well.
We book a table for a date upon receiving good reference, thou it was a total disappointment.
the so "famous" Claim chowder was not much more than a Campbell level... the lobsters were "gummy" like chewing on robber, poor wine selection for the price level.
that would be an ok dinner for a hole in wall place that charge $20 per meal. We spent over $300 for ridiculous low quality....sham on us that we pay to get out of there instead of making a scene.
BTW: we the next evening we got invited in a family owned/managed restaurant out side Boston, great meal, wonderful service, no noisy and they knew how to serve lobsters as well soup. We ate in 8 for only $220!!!
Great meal, especially the chargrilled oysters. Our waiter Niko was really nice and helpful. I had the Salmon which was cooked perfectly and looked beautiful (loved the carrots and wished there were more). We were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday so we were given a free dessert. We had the bread pudding and it was delicious
The food was delicious and our server was very warm and considerate. I might’ve wanted her to check just a slight bit more frequently but her service overall was excellent. Enjoyed the old school feel and pictures on the wall. Was definitely happy to see some people of color on the walls as there were 10’s to 100’s of pics up. Would come back again. Food was well prepared. Loved how the snapper was cooked.
What an awesome dinner! The food was delicious and the service impeccable. Oysters were so good - raw Apalachicola oysters, charred oysters, raw Virginia oysters and Oysters Rockefeller. Then we moved on to the yummy Knife and Fork Lobster Bisque. Followed by Tuna Tartare and Halibut that was delightful. The wine selection helped compliment our meal. Unfortunately we did not leave room for dessert, going to return soon.
Very pleased with our dinner at C&S Seafood. The two entrees we ordered were well prepared. I would suggest the market specials to anyone interested in trying this bar/lounge... and they let you compliment them as you wish. I prefer seared so that the seafood is not over cooked. Sea Bass on this occasion was out-of-this-world delicious. Drinks were ok, too.
Be sure to get a reservation.
C&S never disappoints! We both had the specials tonight - Sea Bass and Salmon. Absolutely fantastic. What really sets this restaurant apart is their exceptional service. Its a relatively small dining area, with all the hustle and bustle you would expect from a fine restaurant - and the wait staff are always on top of everything. Can't say enough good things about C&S.
This place is fabulous!! You can always count on excellent food
and service. If you're lucky enough to be there on an evening when Arnold the General Manager is working you're in for a real treat! He makes everyone in the place feel special. Don't leave without trying the grilled oysters-they rival New Orleans.
Ours was a very good but SLOW PACED MEAL. FROM 5:15 TO 8 PM so our 2 young kids got restless
Extremely nice place, very friendly welcoming and FLEXIBLE helpful staff (Rommel, David)
Nice wine list. Little Too loud Jazz music.
Portions kinda small, but tasty.
lots of varied menu choices with easy variations upon request
Not cheap, averaged about $100 per adult person with just 2 wine glasses
4 adults 2 kids menu
We had medium to small lobster cobb salads, small shelled lobster, twin lobster tails, calamari, asst'd 3 dozen oysters, six tiny raw clams, egg rolls, some soup, tenders, after my 2nd glass of really nice Merlot, I stopped counting.
I would recommend this lovely seafood place to all my family and friends
