C&S Seafood & Oyster Bar
Great atmosphere, great music, and a wonderful waitress but the seats under the television aren’t ideal
Love this place! Fat Tuesday was lively with great music. The food is always fresh and well prepared. Mark is server to request!
Everything was fabulous!
Darren was our excellent waiter. He was knowledgeable and entertaining! The food is always exceptional here. I have been a frequent customer here for many years. The fish is always fresh and perfectly prepared and beautifully presented Thanks for the great evening!
This was my second time visiting this restaurant. My husband and I went about 2 years ago and the food was pretty good. This time my girlfriend and I went and the food was very bland. I informed the manager (African American) but he wasn't interested at all. He said they salt the fish but no one wants salty fish??!! Not a very professional response and I felt like he was regretting coming to our table to remove our dishes and bread, which we never said we were done with. It was clear we were being rushed out. No worries, we will not be returning.
We have already recommended C&S to friends and family. I moved to Atlanta from Washington DC in 1973 and this is absolutely one of the best seafood meals that I have had since I moved here. The lobster was fresh and delicious and the oyster Rockefeller was superb. Our waiter was also great. The only thing that I advise though, is to make sure your credit card is ready. It is not a cheap treat.
Darren made another fantastic dining experience possible as we brought our teenage daughter with us (1st time that she's been there). We always look forward to C&S and were in expert hands once again!
The meal started slow with the mishap of the appetizer and bread, but the service elevated with a comp appetizer and friendly conversation with the waiter and general manager. Overall, it was a decent meal.
C & S Seafood & Oyster Bar is a good choice if you are going to a performance at the Cobb Energy Center. C & S is a split arrangement establishment with a long bar on one side and a dining area on the other side. Booths divide the dining area from the bar and along the dining area wall is long sofa-like seating with tables -- almost a Pullman car.
Food is very good; as expected the seafood is well prepared and probably exceeds 'Atlanta Fish Market in quality. Do try the Oysters Rockefeller. Service was very attentive, with managers checking the table with some frequency. Do ask for Freddy -- he takes care of his customers with knowledge and panache.
Crowded and loud but some pretty amazing food! Did not get a friendly vibe from our waiter but everything came out quickly and correctly. Will definitely be back.
Oysters were small and not worth the price
Great staff and Great Food!
Caleb was the BEST! From my pineapple martini, to RC's grilled oysters, to my husband's sea bass and my grilled grouper. Couldn't have asked for a better, long overdue date night! Repeat visit for me, first for my husband - we will be back!
Day after Valentines
Had a wonderful date night with the husband here. First timer and I will definitely be back. The drinks were well made, the fish special was amazing , and the waitress was on her game. The cherry bread pudding was to die for.
Outstanding food. A little pricey with soups and salads being al a carte. Great restaurant.
Very good food and drinks
Everything was great! The food, drinks, service, hospitality was wonderful!
Even on Valentine’s Day, when the restaurant was very busy, the food was excellent and the service was impeccable. Excellent in all respects.
Valentine’s Day. Great food. Lot of people. Expensive
Best seafood in Atlanta. Best claim chowder in the USA! Great service. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Everything is great.
This is our second time coming to this restaurant. I made reservations for 6:00 pm, expressly selecting and specifically requesting a full-booth. We got there at 5:50, but there was no booth available. They offered us a half-booth, which wasn't in our plans--at all. So we found a table where the patrons were about to leave and told the hostess that we'd wait for that booth to open. A 10-15 minute wait and we had the booth.
Both of us ordered the Manhattan Clam Chowder as appetizer--It was not as good as the last time I had it and was WAY too salty. The bread did not come out till we had almost finished our soup. After that, I was nervous about the main course. However, the fish were PHENOMENAL!
I had the Chilean Sea Bass (blackened) with the soy-chili sauce on the side. My date had the Grouper (market). The Grouper was very good, and the bass was simply excellent. Recommend both dishes, highly. For dessert, I had the creme brulee and he had the lava chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. Both were also good.
Alex our server was also WONDERFUL. All in all, a very good outing. Only issues were the super salty soup and the wait, in spite of having a reservation. What's the point in asking if you want a booth and not having one when you specifically do in your reservation?
It wasn't a deal breaker though. It WAS Valentine's Day and maybe that had to do with the snafu? Will go there again, on a less busy day to see if it works out better, logistically.
If you've not been here, I can wholeheartedly recommend that you go--mind you, it IS expensive fare. But if you're looking to splurge for a special occasion, if you order the right dishes, you'll get enough to eat and will come away with a having eaten a delicious, satisfying dinner! Don't let the strip-mall setting fool you. You definitely won't be out of place if you decide to dress up a bit! :)
Food was just okay. The sea bass was not good and it was the special. Drinks were way overpriced and seating was tight. Not a romantic atmosphere. Service was alright. We will return, but never again on Valentines Day.
Excellent food and service, a bit loud but overall a great place for a special occasion. Little on the high side price wise.
I have passed by this location for a long time and finally looked it up and was pleasantly surprised. My wife and I would always go to the Atlanta Fish Market, but began to find it getting stale and always crowded. The quality of the seafood and everything we had was excellent.
We had a wonderful experience. Dewitt our server was fantastic! Can’t wait to go back.
Valentin’s eve dinner. Food was amazing! Our waiter Eric was awesome and went out of his way to make our evening special.
Love eating there.
Simply the best seafood restaurant in Atlanta. I love the old school feeling of white coat service.
Abdul was excellent. This was our first visit and we will return soon.
Keep up the good food and service!
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at C&S. Our waiter Darren was great he explained everything and went above and beyond. We will be asking to sit at his table on our next visit. Food was excellent. Oysters were to die for. I had tuna steak that was cooked perfectly. The shrimp and goat cheese beignets are a must. Even the desserts were delightful, we had the key lime pie and the bread pudding. We will definitely be coming back.
Amazing, food was better than expected. Truly satisfied all pallets. Our server was amazing and made our experience even more enjoyable.
Darren did a great job! Will request his tables next visit.
Diver Scallops were wonderful, excellent meal.
We were visiting from out of town so this was our first visit. The service and food are outstanding. We plan to go back before the end of our trip.
It’s a great location for a business lunch or for an upscale lunch with friends. Solid menu, and great service.
We were four for a late lunch. We ordered only these items: Lobster Cobb Salad, Manhattan Clam Chowder, and Oysters Rockefeller. The chowder is the best ever, anywhere. Each spoonful was loaded with clams. The Lobster Cobb salad was similarly loaded with lobster. The Oysters Rockefeller are also top of the line, well done and properly presented. The service was excellent as usual, and our server, “Junior” (Kyle the Younger) was attentive, got it all right and made the visit most enjoyable. Three of our party had never been there before, but all will return.
Love the ambiance. Very nice and romantic place. Food is great!
Unfortunately, we went on the night before the Super Bowl and some bean counter decided that it was a great idea to only order enough food for everyone eating early. Our reservation was at 9:00 and , by the time we arrived, they were out of all white fish and all the steaks (beef)! As we ate our second choice dinners, we watched as the other items quickly got 86'd. The only saving grace was our waiter Dewitt who made the evening very enjoyable.
We love C & S and will return but not the night before the Super Bowl!!!
