    The service was absolutely superb. Frank was our waiter and he was outstanding. The atmosphere was perfect for a calm, relaxed date night. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary, they had a signed happy anniversary card along with our desert, they wrote happy anniversary on the plate(cheesecake- delicious). The meal was delicious (ribeye with crab cake, lobster Mac n cheese and garlic mashed potatoes- sirloin with garlic mashed potatoes). Our glass of water and wine never got low. The hot towel before the meal was refreshing. Overall, this was an amazing experience and will definitely be back again!!

    Everyone was so amazing. We came in for our 1 year anniversary & we were treated so well. The food was superb (we had the crab cake appetizer, soup of the day, spinach salad, filet, mahi special) and the drinks were perfect (he has a Cognac Smash & I ordered a bottle of Lussac Saint Emilion). Next time we're in the area we will definitely be back

    Amazing! Above and beyond service and food! Every single part of it was amazing which is nearly unheard of. Even at fine dining usually at least one portion lacks something but they blew everything out of the water. Our server Daman w was amazing!!

    I am a member at several private clubs throughout the country, but the staff at Byrd and Baldwin Bros. truly impressed with their caliber of service and attention to detail. The best restaurant in the Norfolk area. There are no competitions. Thank you.

    First time dining here for our anniversary. The staff made sure to wish us happy anniversary often. The food was delicious and service was excellent. There was some miscommunication with vallet, where we paid inside but the vallet attendees were made to believe we did not. It was sorted out, however it did bring down the mood. Overall great experience. Will be returning.

    I am Amazed! Words can not explain how magnificent our evening was! The scenery was beautiful, our server Emanuel was outstanding! Attentive! Extremely Mannerable! He was Perfect! He even made sure my service dog was taken care of and given cold water. The food was delicious all 3 courses! Compliments to the chefs! For my fiancé birthday, the employees gave him a birthday card signed and a candle with the dessert. Hands down the best restaurant in Hampton Roads!! We will be returning!

    Our waiter Damien was fantastic. We've eaten here before and are returning customers. I had a great Smokey Manhattan the wife had a great Margarita. I don't return food but the she crab was too salty. The special Mahi Mahi was cooked just right. The wife had the market peices lobster tail. Overall great atmosphere, Charles the maitre'd, was an excellent host.

    The waiter was great, energetic, helpful, patient and very knowledgeable of the menu. I had the pork chop. It was freshly made, could've used a little seasoning. The portion size was good, but I'm always a fan of more portion for your money

    We've been in the mood for a fancy date nite and Byrd & Baldwin didn't disappoint. The atmosphere was quiet and intimate. Shrimp was plump and breaded nicely. The bone marrow was good, but would have preferred toasted bread vs crostinis. My BF loved his chicken entree, the breast was so tender. Duck is one of my favorite menu items to order anywhere I go. The glaze was good, but became sweet over time. We ended our evening with a shared chocolate cake that was too rich for me, but my BF really enjoyed. Last, our waiter Damon was outstanding and ensured our experience was lovely. He extended much expertise while caring for our evening.

    The steaks were excellent, as was the recommended wine. Our server was delightful as well. This rating is more about the manager and managment. When to food runner delivered our apps, he accidentally knocked over a full glass of wine all over my dinner guests white shirt. I mean wine from his collar to his lap. He apologized, brought napkins to dry up and wine remover spray. Hey, accidents happen and the gentleman was truly apologetic. What bothers me is that our server didn’t even acknowledge what had happened, not a manager come over and apologize. No comping a desert or anything. At the very least, they owe us a glass of wine they spilled. Unbelievable arrogance l and garbage attitude by our waitress and managment!

    Took my Love here for her Birthday. Daman was our Server nd he was fantastic! The ambience, selections and overall experience were beyond outstanding. Since moving to VA less than 1 year ago, I have been searching for a great restaurant for special occasions and great memories and we have found it! The steaks were great, the sides were outstanding and the presentations of the entire meal were superb. Daman made the experience so much better. He is from W Philly and we are from Central NJ, so we hit it off! We will be back often!

    The food was delicious. The service, from the valet to the entire wait staff and matire d, was exceptional. Byrd & Baldwin is just as much about the experience of fine dining as it is about the cuisine. They do it all well. Can’t wait to go back.

    I was hoping for more ! My strip steak was small and almost not edible with an abundance of fat! A cut a chef should not serve. My wife’s pork chop over salted and we have had better. The macaroni lacking sauce. Great creme brûlée!! High hopes! Maybe someday we will give it a second chance .

    Everything was top notch. Bobby gave us a tour of the building when we asked about the architecture, and overall excellent service. Bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable as well. The wine cellar is incredibly cool, would love to come back for private dinner there. Very extensive wine list. Not a cheap night out but it exceeded expectations in all areas, very much worth it if you want a fine dining experience. 10/10 would recommend.

    My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Byrd and Baldwin Bros. We were early for our reservation but we’re seated immediately. Our waiter, Dennis B., was accommodating, pleasant and helpful. The food was fresh, appealing to the eye and most importantly delicious. The dining room was inviting and the atmosphere was perfect. We utilized the valet parking which eliminated the stress of trying to find street parking. Fine dining at its finest!

    Duck two ways and the salmon was great! Some meals you can’t substitute the veggies. The she crab soup was amazing & he crab cake was full crab meat. They set our table for our anniversary. I would highly recommend.
