Exquisite! Everything was perfect. Highly recommend.

The whole experience was amazing. Great food and service. I was surprised to be charged a fee for the valet considering the cost of the dinner.

The food was good but the service a bit slow. It seemed like several staff members floating around for the number of guests, yet service was slow. We were out for a leisurely dinner, so no worries, but for the place, price point, and experience, I expected a bit more attentiveness.

Food is fresh and delicious as always. Service is as expected.

Service was excellent. Ambiance is impeccable, and food was decent. Only issue, which was a big one for us, the Oscar hollandaise sauce had way to much crushed red pepper flake in it. Anytime we’ve order this topping for steak at other restaurants, it’s never had red pepper in it, let alone overbearing. Unfortunately it ruined the filet steak my wife had, and took away the extraordinary taste of the entree. Next time, if we choose to dine again, it will be straight steak, no add ons to this extent.

Outstanding, one of the best meals I’ve ever had.

Excellent overall, however waiter brought two glasses of champagne without allowing me to select. Cost was > $64, so it was likely the most expensive champagne by the glass on the list. All else was superb.

My wife had the she crab soup and the Mahi with lump crab meat, garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. She said the soup was the best she has ever had. The fish had a crispy exterior with a moist tender center. I had corn chowder and the filet mignon, garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. The filet was cooked prefect and had a nice flavor. We shared a crème brûlée for desert that was prepared perfectly and was one of the best we have ever had. We each had a glass of moscato that we enjoyed very much. All in all it was an excellent experience!

I went here with my boyfriend and had a great date! The waiter was knowledgeable about everything on the menu and was helpful with all of our questions. I will be returning in the near future.

Amazing! 1st class service. The food was incredible. We recommend getting your steak Oscar style with lump crabmeat and asparagus.

Service and ambience are first-class. Too bad the food is not up to that standard, especially at a price level that you'd expect from a first-class establishment. Salads were over-dressed. Entrees poorly plated and bad flavor/seasoning combinations. I'd only return only if a new chef is brought in.

For appetizers we had crab cake and oyser rockefellow. They both tasted great I just think the oysters were a little over cooked but the taste was still magnificent and I would order again. For our main course we had salmon and the ribeye both were cooked to perfection. The corn and lobster were my firts time having and I definately will have again. Overall the meal was perfect.

If your looking for a romantic place for date night or special occasion this is the place to go. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Nothing more to ask for.

Food and service was amazing. However, we were disturbed to see a couple turned away because they were wearing “sneakers” although there were already guests seated and served who were wearing “sneakers,” and other guests after them were also allowed in and seated.

This dining occasion was as enjoyable as always. The food was on point, as was the service. Our waiter, Aaron, was especially patient while answering questions regarding the menu and while waiting on my table to decide what to order. Everyone was pleased with the food and service, and we look forward to another visit.

This was a celebration for my new husband and myself.... as we are both over 60 and very young at heart, we intend on being on a permanent Honeymoon. I know that Covid-19 has everyone keeping a distance, but Byrd and Baldwin Bros. did everything flawlessly from greeting to exit. Food was truly 10 stars out of 5 and service the same- I like my steaks Black & Blue, the steaks were perfection. All of our expectations were met and exceeded.

Truly one of the BEST meals my husband and I have ever come across and we have traveled many places, in the states and internationally. Our waiter was impeccable, could not have asked for better. We do not live in Virginia, we live in Dallas but, we will fly back just to have this amazing experience again.

Our dining experience was excellent. From the valet at the front door to the host welcoming us as we entered the door. It was a stellar upscale experience. The waiter was extremely attentive throughout the meal and the food was overall exceptional!

Had an amazing time at this restaurant. The service was just impeccable and the food cooked perfectly. Went here with my husband for our anniversary and just fell in love with it. The ambiance is very romantic, the building has great history. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

We had dinner at Byrd and Baldwin for a birthday. It was our first time dining at the restaurant and it was an excellent experience.

We love coming to Byrd and Baldwin for dinner. It is a fabulous dining experience and the food and service are always excellent. The last 2 times we have been there, John has been our waiter and he has been fantastic. He knows the menu and makes great recommendations, he also has suggestions for wine choices and he has hit a home run each time. Byrd and Baldwin is our favorite restaurant in all of Hampton Roads and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a 5 star dining experience!
