Food was excellent as usual. I was disappointed as I called about the kids menu was told that the kids could order Kabobs and they would get a smaller portion, so we did that and they stuck me with the price of an adult meal for a 7 year old. That felt like a bait and switch to me.
I LOVE this place!!!
After living near Norwood and having driven by for years, I went on the recommendation of a friend.
This place is a hidden gem!
Outstanding service, ambiance, and real authentic Middle Eastern cuisine.
The falafel is to die for!!
Hands down the best Lebanese food ever. I love this place! The lentil soup is delicious, just like my grandfather used to make. And the Byblos sampler gives you a taste of several different apps, so worth it!!
Lively spot, the belly dancer was fun. Food though was very disappointing. It was much better last year.
We have dined at Byblos many times over the years, and have always been delighted. The hummus is the best anywhere, the kabobs sublime.
This was the first time we’d taken our celiac niece and her nut-allergic son. I called beforehand to confirm it was safe. It was. Both dined very happily indeed. The pita was not a possible conveyance for the pita for our niece, but the requested cucumber slices made a good substitute.
Love this place. The food never disappoints. Great meal.
Have been to Byblos many times over the years, and this visit was quite lovely. The food is always good, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the entertainment is good for the occasional take. Because the menu is pretty similar in style, it's not a place I enjoy going to more than once in a while. There are plenty of choices, but for me, the kebabs and the appetizers are my
"go to" and would be boring for me if I went frequently.
We had a very nice bottle of French pinot noir wine, too.
All our guest, including vegetarian and vegan had several choices, which is nice.
Hadn't been there in awhile and clearly I had forgotten how good it was! Went for Valentine's day (with my Mother-In-Law) and were quickly graciously greeted by what seemed like the owner. Quiet, classic old school atmosphere perfect for conversation. Decorations for the holiday and get this - the owner came around and presented red carnations to all the women. Good apps (can't miss with the grilled halloumi cheese), generous portions of delicious entrees that feel authentic and cooked with pride. Dessert never stood a chance. Saw a few families feasting on sampler and family style meals. A great choice and I'll be back.
Excellent food. Best Lebanese food in the area.
Most authentic Lebanese food around. Clean and excellent choices as well as friendly service
Byblos is a great hidden gem in downtown Norwood.
I never would have thought to go in there, had it not been on OpenTable.
I've driven by it a hundred times and never thought about going in.
So glad I did!
Outstanding food, service, and ambience!
Had the stuffed cabbage rolls, hummus, and falafel. Soooo good!
Definitely going back again for more!!!
Incredible food, great atmosphere, a hidden gem for sure!
The food was excellent. Wonderful tastes and cooked perfectly. Thank you.
There was a large party in the main room, but the host sat us in as comfortable a place as possible.
A great find and my wife and I are excited about bring our friends to Byblos! We live in Cambridge, so Norwood is a hike and someplace we never think of hitting - but we were at an outlet store on Route 1 nearby. As the outlet closed, I was on Yelp looking for nearby dinner choices - and something nice to continue our 30th wedding anniversary celebrations. Lots of places close at 9:30, but Byblos is open until 11, and it said there was a chance they'd have live music. Boy, did they!
If you are into Mediterranean food, this place is the real deal. Beautiful decor representing Phoenicean art and culture. There were two spacious halls adjoined by 3 - 4 double door archways; one held a small dias with a musician playing regional music non-stop, including obviously some favorites by those in-the-know! White tablecloths and red linen napkins set the tone.
We had the Byblos platter which had a typical assortment of hummus, babaganoosh, cheese filled filo, and meat pie appetizers. We also shared the special spiced eggplant dish with rice. For two people, this was an enormous amount of food - we took home enough for a third person. ALL of it was amazingly spiced and delicious. The capstone however was the fresh made falafels on the Byblos platter - we actually stopped the waiter to praise them! I have never had falafel so light, and moist!! Wonderful.
Norwood is now on our map!
Fun Lebanese restaurant. Live Music and Belly-Dancing. Food is fresh and authentic. Ownership is very attentive and charming.
Byblos is a good restaurant for ethnic food. Belly dancing at night. The restaurant is large and can handle large crowds. Food is freah with nice size portions.
We get to this restaurant every few months. Authentic Lebanese menu. We generally let them fill the table with different dishes. The tabbouleh and fatoush were great this time, not to say everything else wan't good as well. Good, knowledgeable wait staff.
Byblos was our introduction to the cuisine of Lebanon. Though the menu has many offerings which can be found in Greek Restaurants, the spice profile has more depth and much more robust. The best value in Byblos is the family platter for 2. My wife and I love the #2 platter. The portions are huge and we always have plenty to take with us. Maurice is a great host and will stop by each each table to make sure everything is perfect. It is a nice touch and makes you feel like you are a guest in someone's home. Don't be afraid to try the Lebanese wines as they compliment the grilled meats very well.
The food was really good and the service was good except for the drinks. We were served warm prosecco and were not offered the cocktail list until we asked for it. The cocktails were excellent but should have been offered when we first sat down. The entertainment was cancelled perhaps due to the weather but we were not told this ahead of time. They did allow us to dance in the room next door so we made our own entertainment which was fun!
Excellent restaurant. The food was so fresh and delicious. My entire family enjoyed their dinner. :)
Excellent service and good food choices. Lunchtime is rather quiet but prefer that to an overly noisy venue.
Our first visit. Easy parking. Nice dining room with live entertainment that didn't interfere with our ability to have a conversation. We ordered Family Platter #2, which brought nice starters, a great salad, and a wonderful array of protein over rice. Our waiter was attentive/helpful without hovering.
*We _will_ be back for more*
Always a good meal at Byblos. Food is very consistent and that's why we go there.
Byblos never disappoints. The food is always delicious especially the kabob and salads. The portions are also very generous. There is live music and entertainment with belly dancers which make it a memorable uncommon experience even for people who are not from Lebanon or the Middle East.
Terrible service. We have been here many times before and asked to be near the dancer, but we were given the worst table in another room behind a pillar. Then they had a private party that took over the room and made it took loud to speak to each other at the table. The last straw? We were given the check without asking or being offered dessert. We won’t be back.
We have been going to Byblos for years and have always found the food, service and atmosphere very much to our liking. On this occasion however there was a function in the room adjacent to the dining room, with unbearable loud music. It was impossible for us to have any conversation with our friends who we have not seen for quite a long time. There are doors between the dining room and function area that could have been closed, but it seems that there was an overflow in the function area and some tables in the dining room actually belong to the party so The doors could not be closed.
The food was good as always and the service was good. The only complaint was the noise level.
Me & my husband went to Byblos for a date night. The ambience and food was amazing. The staff was very friendly. We also got to attend some live music. Highly recommended.
Another outstanding experience here. They do everything right, from the excellent, authentic food to the great service. Can't wait to return
While walking around Norwood Center this past Saturday, we were in search of a new and interesting spot to try.
Byblos met our expectations and then some!
Who knew that such a beautiful restaurant was nestled in Norwood Center with such authentic Middle Eastern food?
We shared the hummus, falafel, lentil soup, and a chicken special.
All were AMAZING!!!
Wish I brought more friends so that I could have ordered more dishes!
Definitely will be back for more.
The server, Uri was phenomenal and very professional and knowledgeable of the menu he was selling. Such a treat these days to find such great service!
Terrific food. Well presented. Really tasty, and filling. Yum.
Had a wonderful experience. If you're looking for something different than your typical American, Italian, or Chinese restaurant, this is the place to go. Very good Mediterranean food! Went on a very quiet night.
We liked everything about Byblos, the food was delicious, the service very attentive and the prices very reasonable. I recommend the sampler dinner for 2, that way you can enjoy a variety of authentic foods.
Meh. I've had better. A bit pricey for what they served. Service was mediocre....had to ask several times for water, waiter charged us for things we did not order. Not in any rush to go back
Great food , great service!
Nice local option with flavorful dishes and very large portions (enough for two meals). Solid service.
Gem on busy street buried amongst many meh restaurants. Take the drive and find parking. Food sensational, choices plentiful. Service slow. Front of the house even checked on us.
This was my third visit to Byblos and, as in the past, the food was extraordinary, the service was superb, and the ambience relaxing. It is a lovely restaurant that I can highly recommend for any occasion. I am relatively close by, but it's worth the drive no matter what the distance for you.
Have been going to Byblos for years. Food and service is outstanding. The owner is super nice and says hello to everyone.
My wife and I have been going to byblos for years and are never disappointed. If you like Lebanese cooking, you will love this place.
I took my family here for my dad's birthday, and the food was exceptional, and very well priced. I live in Boston and thought the space itself felt dated- and there was barely anyone there when we arrived at 6pm. By 7pm, the very large restaurant was totally packed- every table was taken- and there was live music and dancing. What a fun, unexpected evening!
The portions were very large, and the food was fabulous. You can tell everything is home made, from the Hummus to the Babaganoush- it all tastes so fresh. I will definitely be coming back here and highly recommend it!
