The food at this restaurant is extraordinary- many levels above the regular food served at a “Mediterranean” restaurant (which I also like). The restaurant sits on a busy thoroughfare, but is set back from the sidewalk 30’ or so. The noise from the street is audible, but not overwhelming. The outdoor dining area was delightful on a spring evening. The hamachi starter is not to be missed - an amazingly complex flavor profile that makes every bite a sensation. The meat entrees each had their own unique seasonings that elevated them above the norm. We had ordered a salad and didn’t receive it before the main dishes, which I originally attributed to poor service. However, it came just as we were finishing the entrees, and it was the perfect finish to the meal. The server explained that the chef is very precise about which flavors should be served when (and with what) in the meal. All around, this was a fantastic dining experience.
I loved Byblos! The food was delicious and fresh. I split a salad and got a few sides with a friend and it was great and reasonably priced especially for Miami. The only thing that was not great is that they included tip but then didn’t make that clear on the payment portal. Not upset that server got 2x the tip though because he was super nice and helpful!
Amazing! Sharing style, sort off like tapas. We were two and shared: Turkish manti dumplings, hamachi, black truffle pide, and ras el hanout black cod. And for dessert, the stuffed baklava. Totally recommend it. Going back to try more of their dishes!
Franklin our server was fantastic! Food was very flavorful, we enjoyed all the choices!
9pm reservations - had requested when I made the reservation that we wanted to sit upstairs in main dining room. Of course they only had a table downstairs by the service station - and directly over speakers in a banquet.
Not a good start, 2 of our party of 4 who sat on the banquet were about a foot lower than rest of us.
Service was mechanical- no one checked on us. The food was warm, not hot but good. When this restaurant opened years ago there were staff everywhere- explaining menus, asking how things were...no more.
Food runners dropped dishes and left with out giving us silverware - I had to walk the dining room and take silverware off empty tables...worse was our server never asked if we wanted another bottle of wine- and yeah...we did. Would have added another $20 in gratuity to the bill. Idiots.
When I walked to the reception stand to ask someone to find our server and bring us our bill, the server made sure to tell us that 18% gratuity was added but would could “ feel free” to add more.
When we left, 2 hostesses were in deep conversation no one said goodbye or asked how things were.
I write this just one week after our visit. We are now in Coronavirus emergency and every Saturday night time slot is wide open. We are not tourists, we live 10 blocks away. We are continuing to visit our local restaurants- ones that appreciate everyone’s business. Restaurants that practiced hospitality. Not Byblos.
Outstanding meal from appetizers to main course and dessert. Good wine selection
Sat outside and ambiance was beautiful. A mixture in Miami Beach
food correct but nothing really tasty and over priced.
service absolutly to fast and stupid they put 6 plates in same table in same time they miss space and he put 1 more plate on the next table
Excellent service. Arturo was an excellent host!!!
Worth every penny and will come back next season but they had a large private party so there was a long lag between courses and our entree was less than hot. However, the flavors of the dish made up for it.
Wonderful creative cooking. Our waitperson was very helpful in putting together our Neal.
Went on a girl’s trip with five friends, and Byblos was our favorite restaurant on the trip. Food was exceptional. I have been home for two days, and I am still dreaming of it.
Disappointed in a lot of aspects of this dinner. The food was average. They sat us right next to the door and it kept slamming open and closed for a really unpleasant noise. The service was very slow and had to ask for things repeatedly. We were looking forward to this restaurant but wouldn’t go back.
This was our second time to be blows. Our son however had never been there before. We were ushered to a seat that was rather tight, but had a lovely evening nonetheless. IThere was a private party upstairs, so we were limited in our seating. Our server, Adrian, was very attentive. The food was great. And Gary, Assistant waiter, was friendly and actually remembered us from the first time we dined there. All and all...it is a great venue. A little noisy, a little pricey, but fun!
Unprofessional wine recommendations, though pseudo sommelier tried really hard to leave a good impression, I am truly sorry for him if he was forced to play that role.
Great food and nice experience for my birthday...
A cake was brought out to commemorate my celebration.
Beautiful decor, chic space
Fast efficient and delicious! Def going back!! Get the chicken and cauliflower!
the noise was horrible with the loud music and the drum beat vibrations and the screaming voices!
we could not talk to each other.
Service was good—professional and well meaning. Food was good but not exceptional and music was too loud and club-like to match the stunning & artistic ambience. Mediocre value for the price.
