Great food for Sunday Brunch! Although it was crowded it was a pleasant experience. They kept the food hot and well stocked.
First time, we did Sunday brunch. Not bad for the price. Scrape was very hard. Eggs little cold.
I love the crab cakes , I loved my date even more!
By The Docks has a GREAT BRUNCH on Saturdays and Sundays! I have REALLY ENJOYED it each time I've been! Tasty and abundant menu for the price! Also CRAB CAKES are delightful! Nice size I MUST say! A VERY NICE restaurant for brunch, lunch or dinner! AND the staff there are the BEST! From the time you walk in, you are seated and up til the time you leave! They are VERY attentive and catering!
It's becoming a tradition to bring friends and family here to eat and have a good time. Of course it's best to be here for the brunch. Deliciously good.
My family and I went for the Saturday brunch. The food and service were good. They had $1 bloody Mary’s and mimosas which were nice. Our server was awesome. Will go back for sure!
This was the first time dining here and I was nothing less than pleased. The door was absolutely delicious, the ambience was very inviting, and the service was amazing. I will definitely be back.
Service and food consistent. This night a child was disruptive. Parents didn't care.
Ambiance, noise level and sevice was good. However the food was cold. We were there on a Sunday brunch. I have eaten there for dinner for quite a few times and the food has always been very good.
One of the best seafood places I have ever been too! Crab dip to die for! Crab soup is the best ever! Would highly recommend to everyone! And the service is incredible!
Took my mother here for her 70th birthday. She really enjoyed herself. The food and service was excellent.
All good but don’t order the NY strip with the meal. Grisly and dry even at medium cook.
Service by experienced old school Baltimore waitress. She was great.
Always a good choice...food is well prepared and the staff is courteous and efficient.
Waiter was very good and attentive.
The food was ok. Our waitress was not good at service to the table. We only saw her 2 times and we were there for almost 2 hours. It was a special occasion and it was sad to have to wait like that.
My wife and I have dined on several items and all were very good. The Crabcakes neve4r fail to impress.
The crab cakes are amazing and the shrimp too. The service was great and fast!
I will definitely rate By the Dock with a five star rating. First the food is wonderful. Everything tasted great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also the restaurant was very clean and comfortable. I would recommend By the Docks to anyone that wants to eat good food and be in a comfortable environment.
This was our second time having Sunday brunch. The food was amazing both times and the staff wonderful. They went out of their way to be sure my toddler enjoyed himself.
This is a local restaurant that I always pass, yet hardly ever go to. This will change. By the Docks is a great restaurant with excellent food at with a great atmosphere
Always good food and plenty of it.
These were the biggest crab cakes I’ve ever had.
The food was great. I recommend the crab cakes they are huge and good and well worth the price. I also like the coral and cream of crab soup mixture.
The food was delicious and our waitress was the best! Didn’t care for the hostess; we were running late so I called and she acted like it was a hassle. When we arrived she just kind of looked at me and moved onto something else
Crab Cake was phenomenal! The crab soup was perfect! Great service.
First time at this restaurant and the food was great. It was Baltimore County Restaurant week and it was a great deal.
I wish I had taken photo's. The food was excelent. Two thumbs up for our waitress. She obviously knows her job and is an asset to By the Docks. When ever I make reservations my wife begins the countdown to our visit and gets more excited every day. It takes us 55 minutes to get here from our house and I am on oxygen so I make sure I bring 2 tanks so we can relax and enjoy everything. Our next trip is going to be on a Monday as the wife loves lobster. Looking forward to a visit real soon.
My wife and I came here for the Restaurant week menu and wow what a deal it was. The Crab cakes were HUGE!!! and although good there was a lot of filler. The service was wonderful. Would like to try on a regular night.
The service was better than most. The seafood dish we had was loaded with shrimps and scallops. The portions are large. An added bonus was that wine was 1/2 price.
Crab cake special always a great deal. They have a little bit of everything for any taste that you’re looking for.
As usual, our total dining experience was good. Willian was a very courteous and attentive server. Most of the food was very good as always. By The Docks crab cakes are some of my favorite in Maryland. I thought they were a bit under-seasoned on this trip. Otherwise, they were fine and the rest of the food was on point.
Great service. Food was superb. The crab cakes were great and taste was very good.
It was extremely crowded and our 6:45 reservation didn’t get us seated until 7:30, however this just speaks to the good food and popularity. We love it here - get the crab cakes!! Worth the wait
We love By the Docks. The food is excellent. We recently went during restaurant week. It was crowded, which was to be expected, but I felt a little rushed. We enjoyed our meal very much. I definitely recommend this restaurant!!!
We went for Restaurant Week--I made the reservations on the previous Saturday on Open Table. Our reservation was for 6 pm/6 people and we were seated pretty much on time, even though we had added a person. I love Rest Week--you get an opportunity to try a delicious entree, soup, appetizer and dessert. The best! My brother and I always get the Seafood Carnivale--1/2 lobster, shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams on pasta in a wonderful sauce--if you like seafood, you'll LOVE this dish. I'm glad By the Docks offers Restaurant Week--it gives many the chance to check out their great food!
If you love great seafood especially Maryland crab cabs then this is the place to go!
Made reservation for 630 pm for our 37th anniversary. We arrived at 6:15 and we were seated immediately. However, every waitress walked past us some 5 or more times. By 645 we still had no waitress. We watched 4 or 5 tables come in get waited on and still nothing. Finally my husband got up and he was told someone would be over. Another 10 minutes. The waitress apologized and seemed stressed. She didn’t mention cocktails the anniversary or anything. You would think the hostess or manager would have apologized. Food was good but if you want excellent service or service with a smile or personality don’t go here. The table next to us waited so long they finally made it carry out. Our total time seated was 2 hrs 15 minutes
The crab cakes we're great + the cream of crab soup very good. Service was horrible though. Waiter was practically non-existent.
We have been wanting to try By The Docks for some time now, and finally had the opportunity to go. Large dining room area - was a bit noisy but that's OK. All of the food was very good. Our party had a variety of entrees that included really good and large crab cakes, fried shrimp, steak, etc. All the food was very good and the service was great. Our waiter was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.
Too loud due to one table. Other than that, food excellent and service with Shannon as server even better!
