Birthday celebration and it was fantastic. The food was simple and delicious and allowed the ingredients to be themselves
This is our second time to Butter. It was phenomenal. Service and food are impeccable.
Food was great and service was lovely
Great place to enjoy a dinner in the mid-town / times Square area. It's located on the lower lever of the Cassa hotel on 45th Street. Food was terrific very nice decor and the staff are professional without being stuffy. Expensive by some stands certainly not by NYC levels.
Our first time and it did not disappoint! We ordered the Parker rolls (a must) and the gnocchi as an appetizer to share. For 4 people was perfect. The menu is simple and so good. Our table ordered the roast chicken, pork chop and beef Wellington, raves for everything! The drinks and desert (beignets and key lime pie) were also gorgeous and delicious. We are big fans of Alex Guarnaschelli and could feel her influence in everything. Not the cheapest meal, but worth every penny.
My second time going to Butter, and it was just as amazing as I remembered. Outstanding food, ambiance, and service. Would highly recommend to anyone!
We are in town for the weekend and being a big fan of Alex Guarneschelli we wanted to try Butter. It was a fabulous experience and we will definitely be back again
Flavors were amazing. Every bite from first to last was perfect. Great value, friendly and attentive service. Good music, warm ambiance.
DELICIOUS food and drinks from beginning to end. The Dolores and the Gold Mine were amazing cocktails. My husband and I shared the Burrata Ravioli with Vodka Sauce. For dinner he had the Gnocchi Mac and Cheese and I had the double cut pork chop. For dessert we shared the Raspberry Beignets. WOW is all I can say. Butter offers many choices for any palate. The ambiance was darker, intimate, and created a calm and comfortable feeling. The service was sublime and the staff continued to ensure that all needs were met. Our experience at Butter was one for the books. We give it an A+ to infinity.
The gnocchi was the best I've had, absolutely addictive. I enjoyed every minute of our experience there. Delicious.
Amazing food and service, chef alex is simply the best
Get the Parker house rolls and Mac and cheese gnocchi for the table. You can walk off the calories later. Lovely and quiet spot for a midtown dining experience.
Went there to celebrate a birthday. Service was wonderful and the food was phenomenal. Will go again. Hats off to the entire staff.
Everything we had was delicious, with a special shout-out to the gnocchi Mac and cheese. My partner keeps saying other food is ruined now, since the food here was so good!
Best food ever! Wonderful service! Excellent recommendatiions.
I hadn’t eaten here since before the pandemic and man I forgot just how much I missed it until I took that first bite of my gnocchi mac & cheese. Had the branzino for my entree and my go-to raspberry beignets for dessert. Divine! Not cheap, but soooo good!
Some of the best food and cocktails I have ever had. The beignets are a must!!!
Best restaurant in New York. We absolutely loved it!
Have always wanted to eat at Butter so it was great to be able to get this opportunity. The food was very good overall, not the best we have eaten but still good. The restaurant is beautiful and very relaxing. If I had any complaints it would be as follows:
1 - the food came out very very quickly and overall we were out of the restaurant within in hour of arriving.
2 - there were a lot of flies that made the dining experience frustrating.
3 - we asked to be moved from our first table as it was directly under a heating vent and made it very uncomfortable. The wait staff gladly moved us with no issues. I mention this only to help the restaurant determine if there is something that can be done.
It was a great visit and we would absolutely go back. Thanks!
Loved every minute of our dinner. Amazing.
A place where modern rustic brings a cozy, but energetic vibe full of wonderful food and service. I had the Burrata Caprese salad, follow by the smoked double pork chop, and boy did they deliver! The Burrata was fresh, creamy, and vibrant and the smoked chop was cooked to perfection, just a bit of pink and juicy. The flavor of the smoke was perfectly balanced by the rub, the sear, and the chop culminating in one of the best chops I’ve ever eaten, def in my top 3. My wife opted for the chicken dish which was almost enough for two people. The dish was flavorful and juicy with tasty accoutrements. Although you don’t need the sides my wife and I got the smashed potatoes with smokey blue cheese and bacon - these were fantastic, a great partner to the chop, along with the green beans. The beans were crisp and delish, but didn’t seem to rise to the level of the other dishes. Our server Jacqueline was amazing. She was fun, conversational, knowledgeable, and genuine, all at the right levels. Would definitely try to fit this into my dinner plans the next time I’m in NYC.
The service was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. Our meals were delicious, We will be back.
Great food, highly recommended. Cavatappi pasta and parker rolls, raspberry beignets were delicious.
The food was amazing. The decor was very warm and comforting
Everything we had was delicious! The steak was cooked perfectly, and the green beans were delightfully flavorful. The show stoppers were the Raspberry beignets - they were amazing! Food service was a little slow, but the wait staff were very attentive. We weren’t in a hurry, but would recommend an early reservation if you’re catching a show.
Service was outstanding. Staff was knowledgeable and attentive. Our teenage daughters loved all the pageantry of a nice restaurant. Food was excellent. Parker House rolls are a must. Gnocchi Mac and Cheese was decadent, delightful and easy to share with 4 people. I will get that again! We had several entrees - the pork chop, duck, salmon and chicken and all were perfectly prepared and plated. Oldest daughter loved the green beans. It was all delicious. Portions were very large. Finished the night with the raspberry beignets. Again, a huge hit. It was a perfect choice for our last night in NYC and Christmas Eve to boot.
Service and food were beyond perfect.
It was simply amazing and the god was to die for. This was the first Christmas after losing my son and my husband surprised me with the reservation and I couldn’t have been happier. The service was exceptional and everyone was so kind and they even gave me a signed autographed picture of Alex!! This is a must if visiting NYC!!
The food was absolutely amazing. So delicious. And the wait staff was absolutely great.
We really enjoyed everything about Butter. The food was delicious the cocktails were creative and tasty and the ambiance was perfect. We can’t wait to go back!
cant believe they didn't give any bread to the table. You have to buy it. That's cheap to me, especially with a pork chop dish on the menu at 42.00 when you can buy a pork chop for 10.00
Sublime food and fantastic service! Everything about Butter was above and beyond what I expected. Wonderful experience!
Went for our anniversary and was the highlight of the trip. Everything from the food to the wine list was exceptional.
I appreciate the challenges of staffing during COVID, but we arrived at 7pm and said we had 9:45 show tickets. Food did not arrive until 9pm. We waited over an hour between appetizer to main course. And the pasta as hard. Not al dente but clumpy undercooked and the branzino was over cooked. Wait staff a plenty. The kitchen had issues. Underwhelmed. We had to leave without trying the cake that we wanted...
Holiday trip to New York. Service was okay. Food was good
Enjoyed my experience at BUTTER. Everyone was so nice and the food was remarkable! I would definitely go back!
Service was very rushed. Appetizers were on the table within 3 minutes of ordering. We hadn’t even received drinks yet and subsequently had to wait 10-15 minutes for those drinks. Bidders tried to take the main course items off the table five minutes after they were delivered to the table and were clearly still being eaten. Food all tasted good but nothing outstanding. Pace of the meal was a real turn-off.
The food was good but I was expecting more of a wow factor due to the hype. We had a great meal and would def come back, especially for more of the Gnocci Mac & Cheese which is truly melt in your mouth. The location was a tad difficult to find (poor outside signage & lighting). Service was excellent even amidst the shortages everywhere. Alex is one of my fave chefs so not knocking it at all!
Excellent experience. Wait staff great, drinks were super and food outstanding. Highly recommend.
Food was decent. Service was terrible. Will not be going back anytime soon.
