   Wanted to try because of Alex (Food Network) and the food was good. Just very overpriced for what it was. Definitely get the rolls. They are worth way more than they are priced. Got $16 fries that were worth $4. Short ribs were delicious but nothing special for the price they were. The $8 Diet Coke was what really set it over the edge. And the service was not great. Kinda disappointed.

   Atmosphere was modern yet warm and cozy with the wood-paneled walls and leather-like booths all over. Food from start to finish exceeded our expectations; everything was fabulous! And for a fine NYC restaurant, the prices weren't outrageous. Would return again without a doubt!!!

   So disappointing. Very slow service. My husband’s entree tough. 5:00 reservation didn’t get seated till 5:15. Told server we had 7:00 theater. Got entree with barely enough time to eat.

   Food was amazing and the Pumpkin Burrata was one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had! Our server was the best - so kind and wonderful to my daughter. Highly recommend Butter!

   Excellent food and ambiance. Staff was a bit standoffish. Server wasn’t friendly. Slightly more personable when it was time to pay the check. Didn’t offer help with the menu and was curt with responses to our questions. Online menu on their website was different from the actual menu. Not good considering we were excited to go there for those items. Gave is the feeling that we were lucky to be there vs the other way around. Food was excellent though. Just wish the staff was more customer focused. I wouldn’t go back.

   This is the third time I’ve dined here and unfortunately the service was not great. The food was absolutely fantastic. We were seated by 5:15 and our waitress was rude and condescending telling us we needed to decide everything we wanted because we had a show at…8pm!!! Over 2 hours and she was concerned about our food coming on time? Her name was Jazmin and she was surly and curt. In addition, the bussers were consistently trolling our table for empty dishes and literally grabbed for glasses and dishes that still had food and drinks. No one ever checked on us and even tho drinks and water and our rolls took over 30 minutes to arrive, our food came out quickly and we were out before 7 even tho we lingered. This experience ruined this place for me unfortunately.

   Bacon, gnocchi, bread, fries, and cocktails were great. Wouldn’t recommend the tuna and the chicken was dry and terrible

   cons: service was extremely slow (~45 minutes for food. tuna crispy rice sauce was too salty. short ribs were very fatty. pros: the blood orange cocktail was excellent. halibut was good. ambience was nice.

    Love the location between Grand Central and Port Authority for commuters. Excellent food - from kale salad, Mac and cheese gnocchi,branzino and carrot cake. Service was amazing. Will be coming back.
