   Ny second time at this restaurant. Came for early seating before a show. We ordered the pork chop ( outstanding with a smokey undertone) and the Short ribs. Very nice ambiance with great staff. Our waitress asked us if we were going to see a show to make sure we were finished on time. The manager kept checking on us to make sure everything was to our licking. Fab restaurant Alex.

   The food was phenomenal. What really blew us away was the way the chef paid such attention to texture. The use of goat cheese and blue cheese incorporated seamlessly and smoothly into sides and salads was truly innovative.

    If I could leave more stars I would. My wife had the boneless short ribs with a mango margarita, and I had the beef wellington and winter tale drink. Everything was awesome the customer service, food, and the atmosphere. It's definitely with it. But make sure you make reservations well in advance. Hopefully this will help some people that are on the fence about coming here to this outstanding experience.

    My husband and I were visiting his daughters who live in Astoria. I’m a huge fan of Alex, and couldn’t wait to have the ‘Butter’ experience. Our server was great and the food was beautiful and delicious. Our group ordered the pork chop, short ribs and Branzino. We had sides of rolls (a little dry but the herb butter made up for it), gnocchi Mac and cheese, beet salad, mushrooms and potatoes. We finished off our meals with the key lime tart and Grandma’s chocolate cake. So, so beautiful and delicious.

    We were warmly greeted upon entrance and show to our table. Our waiter was kind funny and gave good great advice on the menu. We very much enjoyed our visit and meal to Butter. Thank you for a nice evening out.

    In hindsight, I would have ordered differently. I dined solo, and wanted to taste a few things so I ordered 2 small plates - the Burrata -- delicious, and the Cavatapi - also delicious, but both spicy dishes. I should have ordered the branzino! I enjoyed my cocktail, too.

    Eating her was something I definitely wanted to do since I watch all the cooking competition shows. The atmosphere was calm and the food amazing. My mom loved the raspberry beignets said it was the best thing she’s ever ate.

    The food was fabulous. My party had the branzino, short ribs and salmon. We also had the cavatappi. The front desk person along with the wait staff were very accommodating when we told them we were going to a 7pm Broadway play. It was a great overall experience.

    i had really high expectations for butter, due to its reputation for the kind of restaurant it is. it was honestly somewhat difficult to spot at night, but i was greeted very well by the receptionist and led to a table. however, i had to wait quite a while before a server even approached my table and another while before i even got a sip of water. the ambiance was nice and music wasn’t too loud. the butter and bread were absolutely amazing, i couldn’t believe how well the butter spread and melted in my mouth. still dreaming about it. i got the pasta which was okay but more spicy than i had anticipated and the sauce was a little too much. the pork chop was a little overdone and the inside wasn’t very flavorful while the outside had too much sauce. overall, it was decent but i don’t think it was worth what i paid. the service was just average, i felt forgotten a lot of the time. wish i could have had a better experience here!

    I had high hopes for this place and it did not disappoint. Everything was amazing. My only complaint was that it was very hot in the restaurant and I am someone who is always cold so for me to be hot is rare. Overall, very good experience and can’t wait to go back.

    I honestly picked this place because I love IACG! My resy was at 5pm because I had theater tix. They didn’t open until 5 so I didn’t get seated until 515. The restaurant is dark. It was hard to see much. I get it’s for the ambiance but it was a little much for me. My gin and tonic was excellent. I ordered the short rib. It came with a base of polenta and a balsamic glaze. It was the best thing I’ve ever eaten! It was fork tender and so full of flavor. It had just a thin layer of unctuous fat on it. Amazing! I could have eaten 2 more, even as rich as it was! I started with the brussel sprout salad. It was a total rip off at $20. It was awful too. I’m not used to eating in fancy NYC restaurants so I wish the meal came with some rolls or a normal salad or a vegetable or something. I know everything is a la carte but for over $40 for a small piece of beef… eh. It was a once in a lifetime experience and I’m glad I went.

    Very disappointing lol the food was fine. The appetizers were good, but the beef wellington was nothing special and the smashed potatoes were barely smashed. The pâté and mushrooms had no flavor and added nothing. It was just a plain ol steak. And it wasn’t even cooked great either. The restaurant itself is not the nicest. Water damage to the bottom of floor boards, the ceiling wood slats were all messed up- it’s hard to believe this was a celebrity chef restaurant. I think if Alex Guarnaschelli was to walk in, she’d be annoyed lol what a bummer. We’ve been to Hells Kitchen in South Tahoe CA and THAT was a beef wellington!

    Went there for Valentine's Day. Food and service were both excellent. I had mushroom ravioli app and the duck for main. Both were great! My wife had the beet salad and Branzino and loved both. Highly recommend!

    Very disappointed at the service. We were really looking forward to our dining experience at Butter. Our waiter probably had too many tables, it would take time for him to come around. I ordered a drink, that I did not know it was so spicy, I took a couple of sips and told him he could take it back…no questions as to why I was sending it back or if there was anything wrong with it nor if I wanted another cocktail. Just took it with him. We ordered our food and asked for a side of broccolini which came completely cold…I had to flag him down for him to come by and let him know…he immediately said he was getting the manager (which we did not ask for) no apologies or nothing. He came back and took the cold dish with him….we were half way done with our food when he came back with the same dish, now with completely charred broccolini. All and all good food was good; however I would expect better service from a place where you are spending $100+ p/p I don’t care if ever eat there again.

    The service by Jacque was absolutely outstanding. I felt like she was friend!! The food was incredible and not huge portions - just enough! Flavors were out of this world - a definite must when visiting NYC!!
