   I had wanted to eat here for a while and it didn’t disappoint! It was all great & so was the service.

   When we arrived, we were unpleasantly surprised that the restaurant is a basement the you have to walk down many steps to get to. It looks like a 1970’s basement badly in need of demo and reno with cheap paneling, fake plastic plants and an inelegant ambiance. The food was not good. For example, we order gnocchi in cheddar cream sauce as a starter. It was so hot we couldn’t eat it. It appeared that it was long pre-made and then stuck under a broiler. After 20 minutes we ate it and all I tasted was salt and fat. Very expensive for the experience provided. The restaurant has a policy that you can only stay for 1hour and 15 minutes. We couldn’t eat their food and ran out of that unpleasant place in 50 minutes. Supposedly it is owned by a minor Food TV Network Chef and that is how they promote this place. I say “Alex, you’ve been chopped.”

   The noise level (ambient sound track) was too loud for the first hour or so (7:30 pm - 8:30 pm) and gradually improved. The service was good (attentive but not overbearing), and the food fine. I just expect more when it costs $100+ per person per meal.

   The salmon with asparagus that I had was delicious and cooked to perfection. The restaurant looked nice although it’s probably more happening at night. We went for lunch and had a very nice time.

   We were very excited to find a table here for a holiday weekend. The inside is very pretty and the service was great. There were a good variety of selections on the menu. We opted to try one of the special apps, a regular app, entree and side. The food was just okay. The special app and the side of fries were the most memorable dishes. The beef Wellington was under seasoned and slightly over medium rare. Service was great and the dessert was good. We probably won’t be back due to the price.

   I am a female dining alone. At some restaurants it is a waste of a table and they force a single diner to sit at the bar. Not at Butter, they sat me at a table where I could enjoy the restaurant’s atmosphere. Food was amazing. I recommend the Smoked Double Pork Chop. Make sure to get Jackie as a server. She was great…made me feel special! Overall, it was a superb experience.

   We came for an amazing meal and we were not disappointed. The duck confit was delicious, and our bombolone was the perfect way to end the meal. Our server was friendly and attentive. We wanted for nothing.

   Food was very good. My husband had the best Beef Wellington of his life. The rolls with butter were top notch.

    Mediocre but tasty option in midtown. Cocktails were stellar, hostesses a little juvenile, full staff not educated on menu specifics
