About Butera's Restaurant of Woodbury
Active and bustling, in the "Trattoria Style", this Woodbury location of Butera's offers quality food at a great value. Known for their generous portions of pasta entrees, grilled fare, and fresh fish, Butera's has established a fine reputation as a neighborhood place where guests often see people they know.
It is owned and operated by Martin Butera, his wife Laurie, Martin's brother Gary Butera, and partner and chef Nick Zografos. The large open room is tastefully decorated with a traditional and contemporary mix, with rich dark woodwork and stone treatments, granite table tops, a wood and granite bar, fieldstone and hardwood floors, stone fireplace, exposed wine racks and a Tiffany style fixture at the entrance. Fresh flowers complete the handsome decor.
In addition to their extensive menu you can select from the creative specials like Grilled Filet of Halibut with Prince Edward Island Mussels on a citrus rosemary butternut squash risotto.

Butera's Restaurant of Woodbury Ratings and Reviews
Service great, the restaurant called us to confirm our reservations and when we arrived we were seated immediately. I liked that. The service was fantastic, our waitress was very attentive and very well trained and professional. My only complaint, is the noise level. We went there on a Saturday night get together with friends, but the noise level was so high, I couldn't hear. This is a big consideration when choosing a restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant anytime other than peak hours for that reason.
The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. The wait staff was very attentive. I thought the food to be just so, so. The menu is a little pricey, The Duck with Orange sauce was not good at all. Two people at our table ordered it and were disappointed. I had Filet of Sole which was very good.
I have been dining at Buteras for quite some time. The food has always been excellent for both lunch and dinner. Service is friendly and attentive. Although there are many tables in the restaurant, it still feels very comfortable. You do not feel like you are on top of other diners. On certain days the restaurant can be noisy. I highly recommend Buteras for any occasion.
I dined Saturday, with my wife and another couple. The restaurant was very busy and they sat us within 5 minutes of my reservation. The service was excellent as was the food. The portions were so large that we all took home food. The only draw back was the sound level. It was difficult to hear each other. We all enjoyed the dining experience and definitely will return. I highly recommend Butera’s.
BUTERA’S has always been one of our favorite restaurants. It’s got its act together.
Our reservation was honored on-time, despite others waiting. Our server knew the menu and made some recommendations. When he wasn’t sure about the beer specials, he promptly brought over a “expert” who described in detail the differences between the two brews. Our dinners were delicious, as they always are. There is a nice choice of salads to start. For our main course, the four of us made varied choices. The pistachio-crusted salmon with leeks and mushrooms was superb. The lasagna special was delicious, as was the shrimp parmigiana. The beef ragout with gluten-free pasta was great. Portions are generally large. This is a rather noisy restaurant when it’s busy...this was a Saturday night. But, diners enjoying good food and drink are happy people, and should be!
Food was good but the noise level made it sooooooooooooooo tough to hear each other. It was a special occasion dinner and really was spoiled by the noise level. And I asked for a quiet table. Don't go there if you want to communicate. a perfect place to eat dinner with each other and look at your phne all throught the meal because you cant hear each other.
Went to Butera's on an early Friday night. The server Matt was very attentive and offered helpful suggestions. We started with the sliders and Pizza. Everything was great and plentiful. We followed that with several entree's all of which were very good to great. We enjoyed Butera's Rigatoni and the Steak. Been going to Butera's a long time and have never been disappointed.
We go the Buteras often. The quality of the food is great and the prices are reasonable
The main complaint is that they do not honor their reservations. We had a 7:30 reservations however we were not seated until 7:50. They do not hold a table for you. They give you the next table as it becomes available. If the people at that table decide to sit around a while longer then your wait is longer. This happens each time we go because not all seating requires reservations. People off the street put their name on a waiting list so this effects the wait time of people with reservations
The food here was excellent. I had a pasta dish with shrimp, mushrooms and escarole. I highly recommend this particular dish. My guests were equally satisfied and I've never been disappointed here. My only concern is that the noise level is so high that it's difficult to hear your guests. Otherwise it was a great experience.
