Great food, super fresh, sophisticated yet laid back atmosphere
The entire staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The Steak Frites were a little bit more expensive than what I was expecting but not by much. Overall it was an excellent experience.
Good was terrible, & super expensive, service was good
It was just ok. Meat was dry and over cooked. We had the sausage and Burger. The burger was $20 and not worth it.
Always delicious and the daily selection is top notch!
Love it. Great overall experience. Great food drinks, and amazing service.
The exact level of quality I was hoping for in a nose-to-tail butcher, the food did not disappoint!
We were greeted right away and our server was friendly and helpful. We started with cocktails, all very enjoyable. The appetizer was good but literally one bite. My chicken was moist and seasoned well. The surprise was that this restaurant specializes in beef and two of our party who tried the daily selection, the one said to be more tender, were very disappointed in their meal. The beef was actually quite mediocre. So, we would probably choose to go someplace else next time, which is a shame as I love the concept.
The chicken was great according to the other guests we were with. Disappointed that on a Friday night they didn’t have filets or But one Delmonico and we ended up with a cut of Denver. I can say my Denver was very chewy and the one guest who got the Delmonico said his was chewy. A good thing I can say is that they gave us some sausages that were good while we were waiting. Didn’t get our drinks until after we had gotten our sausage. The interior is very nice. I won’t be back. For the money they charged it’s definitely not worth it
Service was excellent! It was my husband’s birthday, and he was wanting a nice steak. Was disappointed that the only steak was a combination meal for 4-6 that included lamb, pork, and sausages. Our party had the chicken, lamb, pork, and ravioli dishes, and bistro salad. Everything was very good. We enjoyed the birthday gift of truffles for dessert.
Very cute place. Simple menu with nice options. Perhaps a bit overpriced. Food was good but not excellent. Service was fair as there was only one waitress working.
PALEO/LECTIN-FREE FRIENDLY, GRASSFED, LOCAL
Came for a steak, but meat quality was was not tender... and amount af fat on top of the NY Strip was huge
Ashley or waiter made a difference, and her service was perfect
Awesome place with excellent food. Found this place on a simple Google search of Best Steak Places in Denver and was Google right. This place is an awesome atmosphere and the food was just outstanding! I took some clients from out of town and they loved it so much that they recommended it to several others in town last week. I will be back with my friends and family!
Advertised that you could pick your own meat out of the case but gave only one option when I wanted steak on top of my salad. It came out fatty, tough and cut the wrong way.
Also their medium well at 135 degrees was way less than the “warm pink center” at other steakhouses.
Server was very friendly, they did accommodate a request to change the greens in the salad
Lamb dish was good.
Get the Indecisive!!!
Amazing service and really good food. We were lucky to have the Head Chef visit our table and take the time to explain the menu items in detail! Would definitely recommend and come back again.
The food was okay but there are to many restaurants in the same price range that are so much better.
Went for lunch with a friend. We’ve been there before and as usual it was terrific! Much quieter at lunch than dinner. As usual, the food and service were outstanding!
A return visit to Butcher's Bistro after about a year did not disappoint. The menu is small but well-thought out. The charcuterie alone is worth the trip, the steak frites always exceptional. And don't overlook the chicken - I've had their featured chicken entree on both of my recent visits and their take on a half chicken is always fantastic. This time around it was deboned and stuffed with house-cured ham. Sooooo good.
I would have loved to have given a 5-star review; however, there was a hiccup along the way. Our meal started out awesome; ordered the charcuterie and cheese plate. What a great way to start the evening! The quality of both the charcuterie and cheeses offered were fantastic. My wife and I decided to share the NY Strip and frites along with the grilled asparagus. We ordered the steak medium-rare, and when the steak came out, it was in fact medium rare; however, it was severely charred on the outside. For a $45 steak, I would like to taste the steak not the char. When I mentioned this to restaurant, they were very quick to replace the burnt steak with another. Unfortunately, the replacement came out looking like it had been microwaved and was on the cold side of rare. I don't say this trying to sound dramatic; the replacement steak didn't even have grill marks! At this point, we ate what we could and decided to cut our losses. I would definitely go back for the charcuterie and cocktails but have a steak somewhere else.
Food is over priced for what you get. The food is not bad, but unless you want to drop $100 on a single steak, the food is only ok for the price.
Sorry that you felt that way Mark. We only serve 100% American Wagyu beef and that comes to us at a price and we believe a quality that is worth it.
Pate was delicious. Beef far butter needs a crowd. Steak was delicious and could’ve been cooked less for medium rare
The burger was the best I have had in a long time. Though they had an interesting “burger of the day”, they were nice enough to make a bacon cheeseburger for me off the menu. It was great!! I would go back.
Thank you so much Kelsey, and hope to see you again soon.
Butcher’s Bistro was wonderful as always. A “must go” dinner spot whenever we come to Denver.
Intimate setting and well worth it, the in house to local/regional utilization of products is a great Colorado touch. Very pleasant and menu knowledgeable staff.
Food and service were excellent. The shredded leg of lamb was the best I've had, the lamp chop was excellent, and the lamb bacon was a treat. Cocktails were really good, but a couple of bucks overpriced. Food portions were just right, but food is also a bit overpriced. Not out of line for comparable Denver eateries, but a little on the high side. Overall, wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone who appreciates a first-class butcher.
Our server was excellent and the food was over the top good! Thank you for making my daughter’s birthday amazing!
Steak specials were really good although I thought that the price point for the special 24oz non dry aged rib eye was high at $85 and the 8oz waygu sirloin at $38 is also a little pricey. It was good though and split with my wife and her friend. The duck breast was also delicious; cooked perfectly. Server was a female and rude very slow service in a not huge operation. Normally I would think I was rude but even my wife made a comment on the street after we left that the server just didn’t like me. Also, I wanted a draft of Odell 90 Shilling a Colorado staple, wouldn’t normally care but it is on the menu on open table but they don’t serve it at the restaurant and the server said “we only serve Colorado beer here” when I asked for it, which started the night down the rocky path. Please update your open table drink menu! Waiting 10 min for the check at the end wasn’t fun. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Server kind of ruined it for us.
Best place. Great service , food and drinks.
The hamburger was delicious ,love the place
Always our fan favorite for Rockies opening day! And other games add well.
Thanks Dawn, look forward to seeing you soon.
Incredible menu - try the tasting appetizer as it is wonderful. Drinks were great with a nice wine list. Best service!
Great Service. Staff very helpful with suggestions. Enjoyed the night.
Great place for fresh meats. Went adventurous and tried the bison balls and they were actually really good. Had the steak frittata and it was cooked perfectly. And the fries were amazing.
The staff there were friendly and professional. I have to admit I was dining with a difficult person and they handled her really well, sorry about that. Will definitely be back.
Great food and service.
Great food. Great service.
Always love visiting Butcher's Bistro. Mark has never once judged me for ordering a drink before I even sit down. He understands that some days require a Tiny Dancer at the end of it.
Thank you so much Ruth. We always love seeing you!
One of my favorite places in Denver! Their steaks and meatloaf (Ma, the meatloaf!) are incredible. The staff is fantastic and knowledgeable and friendly!
This was our 5th restaurant of our monthly girls dinner out. It was also our favorite!! From the start our waitress Alexis was warm and inviting and she knew the menu. We started with the Amuse and we tried all of them, delicious. Then we had the meat and cheese tray, amazing. We then had our dinner and they did not disappoint!!! We were so impressed, we talked to the general manager and he had Emily the Chef come out and introduce herself. Then to our surprise they brought out this awesome dessert, that was to die for!! We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves meat!! Best place we have tried this far, we will definitely be back!!!❤️
