Butcher & Singer
Attended this restaurant during restaurant week. I believe this is a great time to experience a 4/5 star restaurant during the advertised week without spending so much money opposed to a regular night dining. It gives a customer the experience to see if they would like to come back to the restaurant during regular dining hours. Yes I would attend this restaurant again. Next time with a different waiter. Lol. He wasn’t as nice as some other waiters of the ones I viewed and interaction with the guest. Food was very tasty. A must to try. Steak was sooooo good. Definitely a 5 star steak.
Fabulous Restaurant Week lunch menu!!
We came for restaurant week and the food, service, and ambiance were all so amazing! Will definitely be back.
Always excellent food and impeccable service in a beautiful venue.
Restaurant week Lunch $20 for 3 course meal was well worth it. The crab cakes and salmon were fantastic and the chocolate creme de pot was amazingly rich and creamy. The lemon tart and blueberry compote was a culinary experience in flavor. Service was awesome
We went to Butcher & Singer before an appointment in the area. We didn't know about the Restaurant Week special but it was a fabulous deal. The crab cakes were excellent, as was the Cobb Salad and the Salmon. The desserts were great as well. Awesome deal at $20pp.
During restaurant week me and my husband always try new restaurants. We will definitely be returning for dinner on a future date. The service and food was exactly.
The ambiance and service were great, but I think the food quality suffered due to restaurant week. I’ve heard such great things and was so disappointed when my meal got to the table.
The server made excellent recommendations it was very knowledgeable about the menu. I would definitely recommend
Good ambiance. But food was sub par at best. Steaks were too salty and tough. Maybe it was restaurant's week that brought down the quality but no return based on the experience.
Perfect experience from start to finish.
The food and service were absolutely phenomenal! I will definitely be back
Excellent! 10/10 would recommend
Consistently great food and service. Our server was kind and knowledgeable.
Recommend dining at Butcher and Singer.
Creamed spinach that everyone raved about was okay at best and salty. Crab cake with fennel slaw was spot on, though. I don't even like coleslaw normally and I ate it all, so there's that. And the filet was well cooked.
Loved every minute of our dining experience! We would return in a heartbeat! It’s hard not to fall in love with the ambiance of the restaurant from the moment you walk in. Our server connected with us instantly, was tuned into our individual needs and personalities and entertained us all the while! Dinner, wine and cocktails, and dessert were all divine! Five star restaurant, hands down!
I went during restaurant week and my experience was excellent! The waiter very personable and attentive. The food was delicious!
Beautiful, comfortable interior. Service was terrific whether it was at the bar prior to dinner, or during the meal. Knowledgeable staff, recommending both popular dishes, in addition to personal favorites. Bone in filet was cooked to perfection, hash brown potato side plenty for 2-4 (house specialty) was delicious. Highly recommend for a special evening.
Corey was awesome and the food was delicious!
Outstanding birthday dinner for my daughters. They both loved it.
Our visit to Butcher & Singer was fantastic. Our meal was one of the best I’ve had. One of our servers and the bartender were absolutely great, the others not as much. The drinks also really wonderful. We will be back as soon as possible.
The service and the food outstanding!
I went to Butcher and Singer for my birthday dinner with my bf during restaurant week. The menu didn't have a lot of options but I expected the quality of the food would have made a difference. We both ordered the butternut squash soup for appetizers, I ordered the filet mignon and he ordered the salmon for the entree and for dessert I ordered the pot de creme and he had the lemon tart. The soup was ok and the dessert was good. However, when I ordered the steak there was a small bug crawling on my plate. I quickly told the waiter and the brought me out a new one saying that the bug came from the greens (garnish). To compensate for the bug, that gave me a free dessert from their main menu, even though, I expected to have a free meal since there was a bug on my plate.
Went for restaurant week and was thoroughly impressed. I try to go to new restaurants during this special time, and I had previously never been to Butcher and Singer. The 3 course menu was terrific. The crab cake was small on the first course, but hey it’s $35! The 8oz filet was cooked perfectly. The lemon tart with blueberry compote was Devine. The food was delivered promptly. No need for seasoning in anything. Me nor my wife touched the salt and pepper shakers all night. The service was great. She had the roast chicken with cream spinach. She loved it. Restaurant week should be looked at as a marketing endeavor for these business to drum up new business in the future. You can tell that this is Butcher and Singers philosophy.
One of the best restaurant in Philadelphia, high quality service and food!
Food and service were top notch, even during restaurant week!
Amazing. Great ambiance. Five star customer service.
The food was really good. The service was excellent as well.
We wanted to try something different and I’m glad we did. I would definitely go back for dinner. Everything was fabulous!!!!!
Had my birthday lunch with a good friend. Everyone went beyond exceptional service! Impeccable beautiful place to eat and enjoyed everything! Thank you.
Amazing! Food was phenomenal. Exceeded very high expectations. Service very good as well.
The food was absolutely amazing...one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We did the Restaurant Week deal and it was such a great value. I will be going back!
Exceeded every expectation!!
Went to B&S in a group of four. Three of us ordered the Filet and one ordered the Porterhouse. Each of us who ordered the Filets were very surprised by how fatty/tough the cut was. Additionally the steaks were surprisingly salty. We unanimously agreed that the steaks were a 6/10.
The dining experience at Butcher & Singer combines old-world elegance with excellent food and service. Going there as part of Restaurant Week enables everyone to enjoy a superior meal at an affordable price. It was also considerate of the restaurant to add a moderate wine choice to accompany the RW menu. Would definitely recommend.
I went with a friend for lunch during Restaurant Week. We both had the crabcake appetizer, and the salmon entree. She had the lemon tart for dessert while I had the chocolate pot de creme. We each enjoyed our meal immensely.
Went for Restaurant Week lunch - good value (3 course lunch for $20) - decent menu choices.
LOVED. I have been here twice and the service is always amazing. The food is presented beautifully and the ambiance is by far the best in center city. This location is great for groups or intimate dining
Went during restaurant week and were WOWed! The food and atmosphere were both incredible and we are already thinking of the next time we can go back. Service was impeccable as well.
We went during restaurant week and everything ran smoothly. Food was amazing and our server Brian was exceptional! Will be back soon.
