The Manager, Nathan, did an outstanding job ogreeting us and getting us seated as quickly as possible. And our server, Chris, was also outstanding! It was exactly as one would expect in a fine steak house. Thanks to all for making it a wonderful 42nd Anniversary celebration!

The food and service were A+. Danielle was a real professional. Everyone treated us with due respect. Steaks(4) and bronzini were well prepared and tasty. Salt could have been less on steaks. Sides(stuffed hashies, beans and corn) are plenty to share. Wine list extensive though a bit overpriced(retail price for a Cab from Paso robles is ~$25 and they had it for $100 !
Oh well, very good indeed.

Place was beautiful and food was excellent, the only complaint was the wait staff was over eager to come to the table that it made it difficult to just enjoy the romantic evening with someone always on the other end of the table. Over all was a good experience.

It was an absolutely wonderful meal. The food and drink were delicious. Our waiter was always there when we needed something but wasn’t intrusive, service was on point. Will happily return for another meal.

from the start, biscuits were pure butter, cloth napkin which they were wrapped in turn in to one oily spot and were under cooked, raw inside. ordered filet Mignon medium rare, it was, but no salt or paper and came barely warm. did not want to complain in front of my husband on Father day.

Beef & Biscuts!!

We hadn’t been to Butcher & Singer for dinner in a while. We had a great dinner there on June 15. Everybody and everything was done to make sure our dinner was exceptional. The newest thing is that they have these wonderful biscuits. We each ate two. They also packed up some for us to take home. It was my husbands birthday and we ate our fill. No room for dessert, but they made a little baked Alaska and gave it to hubby at no charge so they could wish him a happy birthday.

One of the best steak dinners I’ve had in a really long time. I absolutely recommend it here. I got the 8 oz filet cooked medium well with bearnaise on the side. The steak was absolutely perfect with a little crisp on the outside, I was trying so hard not to devour it so quickly. My fiancé got the del Monico cooked medium well and added Oscar. His was amazing as well. The del Monico was huge and we had leftovers. The stuffed hash browns were family style so we had leftovers of those as well. This is one of my new favorite steakhouses in Philly

Great dinning experience, must try the veal chop with the Oscar option. Butcher & Singer has a very cool old Hollywood ambiance, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great fine dining experience while visiting Philadelphia.

Everything from the biscuits to asparagus was delicious. Steaks were tender and cooked just the way we ordered. Sides are served family style which was nice. Service was quick, friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. Excellent overall.

I go to Butcher Singer for lunch for the BURGER-the best I have tasted in Philadelphia. Two friends joined me for lunch-we all agreed the salad, and French fries with the burger was a delectable experience. The onions melted in the mouth.

My husband and I enjoyed our meal very much! The Delmonico steak was one of the best steaks we had ever eaten. I can't say enough about how delicious it was - perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. I enjoyed a glass of Malbec that was also perfect. We shared a Butcher's salad, which is a chopped antipasto salad. This is not usually my preference, but the chef put together a really nice combination of tastes and textures. We also shared green beans amandine. We had to send it back at first because it was way too salty for us (we are on a low-salt diet and we are very sensitive to salt) but the 2nd try was perfect. And our server Danielle took great care of us.

Steakhouse with standard steakhouse menu. Incredibly lengthy wine list. A variety of Manhattan style cocktails. Baked Alaska dessert was amazing.

From the biscuits to the steak to the strawberry shortcake...total 10. Service was perfect. Not too much hovering but always seemed to be there to refill a drink right in time. Can’t say enough about my experience.

The food was great as always, I started eating there some years back while taking one of my 3 daughters on a special date just to show her how a young lady should be treated by a young man. Every since then I have been enjoying the food from time to time. I would come more often, but it can get pretty expensive. I first started coming there when I was given a Star Rewards card and I was hooked. The fish is my favorite so far. The Mash potatoes and creamed spinach almost caused a fight between my daughter and I.. LOL. needless to say we love the food. My most recent visit last week was with my special lady, we were just out enjoying the PIFA Broad St. Festival and decided to end our day with a good meal from Butcher & Singer. Our server was great, on point and with a smile and enthusiasm. P.S. he also takes great pictures.

We came here for our 10 year wedding anniversary. This was our first time dining at Butcher and singer. It had a lovely ambiance very romantic. Delicious food, great cocktails and wine. We had a 10pm reservation which we were unfortunately a few minutes late to the staff was very accommodating and did not make us feel rushed. Service was so smooth and on point at every moment of our meal. The buttermilk biscuits with honey butter are so tasty! We highly recommend the bone in filet mignon with truffled mashed potatoes, so yummy! Thank you for a wonderful evening

Without a doubt, the best steak I've ever eaten. I had the filet that melted in my mouth, and my husband and friend had the Delmonico that was even better than the filet. Our server was knowledgeable, professional and had a great sense of humor. The stuffed hash browns as a side was phenomenal. Great wine list. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Very nice, as expected. Best part of meal was the daily special appetizer, salmon sashimi. Spectacular. Our filets were very good quality and cooked perfectly. The mushroom/oinion side was delicious as was the roasted asparagus (but the kitchen should snap to trim stalks instead of cutting to ensure no woody ends). Service superb. House cocktails a treat. Read many rave reviews of stuffed home fries which we found greasy and overly much.
