My son wanted to have his 18th birthday dinner at the finest steakhouse in Philadelphia. We absolutely loved everything about it!
Amazing as always.
A wonderful experience from start to finish. The cocktails were yummy, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Thank you.
I recommend everyone eat at Butcher & Singer, if you don't experience this you've lived a life unfulfilled!
Food is amazing! Service is amazing! Definitely will go back.
Our server Dirk was amazing! Can’t wait to come back again soon.
One of my favorite restaurants in the city! The food and service are always top notch.
Amazing experience. Service was exceptional yet laid back and no upwelling. Dark, moody, sophisticated ambiance. Crab Louie salad, baked Alaska and escargot are to die for. Will absolutely be back!
Wow!! We had such a great time at your restaurant while celebrating Valentine’s Day. Your staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The restaurant seating was well-spaced and made us feel comfortable and safe. We ordered the wedge salad, 28 day dry aged porterhouse, the halibut special, stuffed hash browns, and creamed spinach. Every dish was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly, nice char on the outside. The wedge salad was dressed nicely and tasted delicious. The stuffed hash browns were to die for! Great job to this team. We will be back!
Very good food, but kept getting harassed by homeless walking by. If you make a reservation, make sure it’s indoors.
Outstanding service, loved our waiter. Great food and ambiance!
Outside setup was horrible. As much money the restaurant makes. It could had been better. The heating vent was blowing cold air. It was very uncomfortable. They way the have it setup online. Is nowhere near how it was when we got there. Very poor accommodations...
My boyfriend and I went there for Valentine’s Day and had a lovely time. We were able to snag a table indoors. The food was incredible, as was the experience. We had a great server who was attentive and conversational.
The food was lovely... steaks, onion rings, mushrooms, all very good. The toffee tipped ice cream was delish but minuscule. Wine choice was wonderful. Our waiter disappeared for awhile... a waitress noticed this and signaled him to pop by. We observed this waitress service was excellent.
Great dinner at Butcher and Singer...once we were moved to inside seating. Verizon workers conveniently set up a generator truck outside right beside the enclosed tables. It was like a jet engine. Management was quick and moved us inside to continue a great evening.Thank you!
Food was absolutely amazing.... Service was great.... I’ll we I’ll definitely be returning.... Great for any and every occasion...
One of our favorite restaurants in the city. I think their covid precautions and new dining setup are good. Service and food still excellent. Had a great time and look forward to our next visit.
Food was fabulous. Our Server was wonderful. We had a great time overall.
Our server Stacy was absolutely amazing and made our experience 10 times better. The food as always was super good especially the tomahawk steak.
Ambience suffered from a snowy Tuesday Covid-infected night that kept the energy level inside the gorgeous dining room at a very low ebb. Room was also a little dark. Service was efficient and friendly. Our filet and striped bass were excellent--particularly the fish, which was cooked to perfection. The green beans amandine were a highlight. Baked potato was...a baked potato. A little pricey, but we were not looking for a bargain.
Will definitely return.
We’ve been to Butcher and Singer many times and are big fans. This time we sat inside and am not sure if this was part of their safety plan for COVID precautions but it was very cold at our table. Note we were not sitting near the front door. My wife had to put on her hat and cover her lap with her coat. The food as usually was very good but unfortunately got cold very quickly which diminished the joy of a $100 steak.
Always on point. Great night with friends
I enjoyed an amazing meal with a colleague tonight. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food was phenomenal, but above all we had impeccable service. As a first time guest I felt like the experience was enough to make me a regular guest!
Very great experience, especially dining outdoor during Covid.
Everything was great, service, food, drinks, safety precautions.
Despite the cold temps and having to eat in a “bubble,” the food, drinks, ambiance and service were terrific.
This is a fantastic steakhouse! Great service, and even better food. Great for a nice occasion, a little pricey but worth the money
The food was great we got the porterhouse for 2 cooked perfect
Sat in the outdoor booths. Food and service was very good. We were pretty warm in 40F weather.
We dined in an outdoor igloo. There was nice heat pumped in and good ambiance, minus the glaring police lights from the cars blocking off the street. The plastic chairs were uncomfortable and left us feeling as though we were leaning forward the entire meal.
The onion soup, lamb chops and stuffed hashbrowns were the highlight of our meal. Skip the filet. It was flavorless.
Service was good, though getting a beverage refill was tough throughout the evening.
Everything was almost perfect. Outside seating was great. Warm, enough intimacy, and comfortable. Service was excellent. Our waiter Chris was perfect. Only negative was that I asked for our steak to be Medium but it was almost rare. If I’m paying $300 for dinner at a steak house, I think the steak should come out exactly how you ask. All the food tasted great though. Black truffle butter definitely worth the extra $.
The food was excellent and the service was also excellent
The food was as good as any high end steakhouse of this caliber. What struck us the most was the sidewalk dining. Honestly I was expecting to feel an occasional cold breeze blow through which is not what anyone wants.
A+ on the construction of the table/booths with HVAC!
It was so warm we had to close the vents...not like one of those propane heater things.
Food and drinks were what I expected.
Did not expect such a comfortable “side walk” dining experience. Thank you!
superb start to finish. we dined outside in the little cabins. it was charming, warm, and entertaining including an ongoing street dig.
Excellent experience and great food!!
Given the COVID-19 restrictions and having to eat outside on a busy street in downtown Philadelphia, the restaurant did a fantastic job. Staff was extremely courteous, attentive and professional. Seating environment was warm and intimate although a little noisy due to ongoing repair work under the street near the restaurant.
This place provides outdoor seating that are seperated and has forced heat...Dinner for 2 ran a little over $170....Caesar Salad delish
Porterhouse w/sauce amazing...Shrimp were large and fresh...mac and cheese pretty good...Baked Alaska mouth watering not to mention there biscuits are the best around.
We haven’t been out to eat in about ten months. We decided to get early reservations and do their outdoor dining to treat ourselves and our kids. What a great dining experience. Our waiter was fabulous and our meal was delicious. It was such a nice treat.
We came here after the first place we went to was much too freezing to bare. Their outdoor seating was cozy and easy to forget the cold. The food was amazing as usual, as were the biscuits. Our server was super sweet, and hospitable. Definitely will return.
