Great location close to Charleston market. Service was a little confused at times but friendly and attentive. Food was amazing, one of the best steaks ever.

Our server( whose name I can’t remember unfortunately ) was very sweet and informative, she went above and beyond to make sure my sister had a great birthday!
We loved every minute of it!

The server was excellent. Very attentive. We apologize for not remembering his name. We were there on April 16th early in the evening! Very accommodating and knowledgeable. The drinks were excellent!

Food and atmosphere were great! Deviled eggs appetizer was perfect. The filet was amazing with their whiskey peppercorn sauce. My side of Mac and cheese came out very dry but I was delivered a new one that was fabulous. Will definitely be back!

Perfect as always. It was prom night so a little noisy but they did a great job with the flow. The owner of the restaurant stopped by our table to check on us was very nice and thankful. Hands down best steak in charleston. We will go back again soon.

Deviled eggs always delicious. Service was slow due to prom crowd. We asked for a booth and were told they were saving them for larger crowds which was a bummer since we dine there often. Hope the menu gets a revamp.

Steak was overcooked, while waiting for a new one my table partner was eating alone. It took 21 minutes to cook a 14 oz NY strip medium rare!? The second steak was good! Also received fresh fries.

The deviled eggs were awesome. The meat was excellent and a neat smell from the grilling. Our waitress was awesome.

Loved this meal. We did have a problem with the temperature of our steaks but that was fixed efficiently. Food was excellent

Great dining experience. Next to the water - very nicely decorated. The food was off-the-charts good - good wine list. Wait staff very personable and thorough. Would definitely dine there again - hands down.

The deviled egg appetizer & both the wedge salad & grilled romaine salads were fantastic! I was a little disappointed in the hanger steak, however my husband’s filet was wonderful. Our server was extremely knowledgeable & gave outstanding service!

It was our last night in Charleston (our family’s first trip there) so we wanted to go someplace special and Burwell’s came highly recommended. We were not disappointed as everything from the ambiance, service of our wonderful and attentive waitress, Meg, and the cooked-to-perfection filet mignon was top notch. The owner even came by himself to make sure everything was to our liking. We will definitely go back the next time we visit Charleston!

Everyone at Burwell's was friendly. The food and wine were great. The smoked salad was amazing. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. My best friend and I were looking for a place to have dinner after the bridge run and a little shopping. Burwell's is in an easy location within walking distance of King St shopping and the market. We had a relaxed evening and enjoyed it very much.

Burwell's was an overall great experience. The deviled eggs were delicious as advertised and so were our cocktails. The open kitchen seemed to keep the staff on task as food was delivered quickly and hot. Our steaks were a little undercooked, but they quickly rectified and cooked them to our taste. Overall great experience!

We had a fabulous dining experience. The beef was perhaps the best we have had anywhere in Charleston. The filet mignon was so tender that the knife glided right through it, and the flavor was fantastic. The server (Andrew) was very friendly and gave great menu suggestions. The wine list was good. We had a great petite sirah along with our beef. The atmosphere was relaxed and quiet enough to enjoy a great conversation while dining. We will definitely go again!

For the price there are much better restaurants in Charleston. Limited menu even for a steakhouse and steaks were just OK. Service was mediocre if not borderline bad

We came to enjoy a meal. The environment is spot on. The service was average and the food was fine. However, we felt the pricing didn't reflect the level of food.

The menu on open table was substantially less expensive than the restaurant was. Burger listed at $13 was $20. Filet listed at $33 was $37. Dinner for four (one had a burger) was $175 plus tip. No alcohol. So pretty pricey. Steaks were good.

We came here to celebrate our Navy Nuke. The food was amazing (Hanger steak, prime rib, soft crab and brisket). We cleaned our plates...and vowed to return to try more dishes. The service was professional yet very friendly. I honestly can’t think of a single thing to change.

Very pleasant. Nice staff, delicious menu. Deviled eggs as appetizer were unique and delicious. Attractive atmosphere however seat had been “fixed” with tape which was sticky. My steak was done right, a nice cut, but it as well as Mac & cheese side weren’t served hot, just warm. Otherwise very nice dining.

This was my second time dining at Burwell's Stone Fire Grill. I had a great experience the first time back in November with great food and excellent service. The service was REALLY lacking this time around. The food and ambiance were great. I think we just got a server that was overwhelmed or just not having a good day. It took nearly 20 minutes before she came to our table. Never said hello or welcomed us just "has someone been over here yet." It continued to go downhill from there. She never offered to take our drink order, tell us about any specials or ask if we needed anything. We had to flag her down to put in an order for appetizers and ask if we could get bread. She never cleared our dishes or glasses even though we were setting them at the end of the table to make room. A sauce to go with one of the steaks was never brought with the meal. When we mentioned it took 20 minutes to bring it back. Truly one of the worst service experiences I've ever had and certainly not anything I expected at Burwell's after such a great experience last time. A few other servers stopped by to clear our table or to bring food. They all seemed very knowledgeable and helpful. Perhaps we just got the wrong person. Unfortunately, I was the one that recommended Burwell's for our group for dinner on our last night in Charleston and it was a big let down. The deviled egg appetizer is amazing.

Great service. Deserts are awesome. Steak on the rock great as well. Try it out - not as hyped up as many other Charleston restaurants - but worth the trip and probably better than the others.

If you are there and no room at all near bar during happy hour ( plus being disabled), you should be allowed to get happy hour meals and drinks in dining area. Had no choice but to go to dining area Wrong!

Really excellent beef and reasonably priced wine list. The "hot rocks" appetizers could be a meal in themselves. Blue cheese served with my steak was awesome and there was enough to share with the table. The side of mushrooms also was very good and enough for four . Good service, too. We will be back.

The food was ok I had the steak which I asked for well done and when it came it had blood still coming out of the steak so it had to be sent back, after putting it on the grill again it became a little tough. So this is not a great steak place, my first time there I will keep looking for great steak places in Charleston. My wife's steak was good for her. Ok for the price of food......
