My husband and I went to Burwell's for our 1 year anniversary as we went there for dinner the day after our wedding. Our server was Kyle, and he was very knowledgeable and attentive. We split the hot rock appetizer, which I think is such a fun little experience. My husband had the the pork chop, and it was cooked wonderfully and was quite large! I had the scallop entree, and the scallops were nicely seared. The haricot verts had a nice crunch, and the potatoes were nicely seasoned. We then split a crème brûlée and the vanilla bean custard was delicious. We were also provided with decadently rich chocolate truffles to celebrate our anniversary. Overall, it was a wonderful night, and my husband and I look forward to making this an anniversary tradition.

Michael was our server and he was beyond amazing. Fantastic personality and a real desire to create the ultimate experience for his customers. The dry aged ribeye was exceptional and exceeded my expectations. We also ordered their seasonal salad which was Uber tasty. Unfortunately, the fish my wife ordered was just ok. We were on the second floor and the atmosphere was a little too quiet for our taste. The downstairs definitely is the spot to enjoy your dinner if you’re going to eat here.

Lovely meal starting with the calamari and aoili The steak, crab meat, shrimp and mashed potatoes / asparagus were all delicious. My only complaint was the steak did not seem to be 8 oz as advertised.. more like 4-5 oz. I have no way to confirm this other than previous dining experiences at steakhouses and the eye test. We will definitely return just for the service and calamari alone.

My wife and I had a great evening and dinner at Burwell's. We certainly appreciated the attentiveness of the staff and especially Chef John who had a chance to come check up on us. We were visiting Charleston for a few nights and our last meal was at Burwell's and we regretted not having all our meals there. The appetizers were delicious, the steak came out just right, and the pastry chef is a master with his rich and warm deserts. Thanks everyone and we hope to see you again.

All of the staff were incredibly friendly. My girlfriend and I told the seating hostess we were out for our one year anniversary when she asked. We didn’t expect anything special, but they surprised us with a small dessert after dinner with the words “Happy Anniversary” decoratively written on the plate with chocolate syrup. A very thoughtful touch! The food was all delicious as well! We were both so glad we went there for dinner.

We chose Burwell's to take a break from seafood during our visit to Charleston. A robust Cabernet was selected for us by a lovely young lady at the bar. Each dish was prepared as represented by our waiter, Aaron. We enjoyed the grilled octopus appetizer, followed by steaks prepared with their classic accompaniment. We finished with the cheesecake dessert. The staff, including the owner, were very attentive throughout the evening. It was a wonderful place to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.

Amazing food! We had the seasonal salad with apples and cane sugar vinaigrette and was one of the best salads I’ve ever tasted! Made our anniversary special my writing “Happy Anniversary” on our dessert plate! Steak was great as well!

They have completely changed their food. My husband got the filet and it was very fatty. He also got the fries, which are usually very flavorful-not like usual fast food fries. But these were like regular “Sysco food truck” fries. I got the shrimp pasta. It came with clumps of crab meat. None of it was very flavorful- very bland. I did get the she crab soup which surprisingly was an improvement. I’m not sure why they decided to change the food, but it was NOT a good idea. This used to be our go to place for atmosphere, value and most importantly food quality. Unfortunately, not anymore.

From the atmosphere to the food everything was phenomenal. Our server Miley was outstanding and treated us like family. It was my dads birthday on Veterans Day and he felt special because of the treatment we received for him as a veteran. Thank you and we will be back again.

Our waitress was polite and attentive. The wedge salad, wine selection, and presentation were all great. The filet was the worst one I ever had. I struggled to cut it with a steak knife. I suspect that it was not tenderloin. If you go here, beware.

Burwell's is always phenomenal. They out-did themselves last night! Best experience we've had there yet. The pairings and preperation were stellar. Everything from special request cocktail to the seasonal items and the menu staples. Our meals were prepared to perfection and the whole experience was amazing. The wagyu hanger steak- perfect med rare is always the perfect blend of flavor and tenderness for me and I' think I've finally converted my wife from filet. We've probably been here at least 6 times and this was our best experience. Many thanks to all the staff for such a wonderful dining experience. Can't wait to come back.
