Burlock Coast Ratings and Reviews
We sat outside to enjoy beautiful view of ocean. Then it started to rain and we went in. Had the tuna tartare and it was very good. Then had a nice romaine salad, very nice. Then the brisket pulled pork burger. Quite good. Enjoyed the craft beer and berry berry mojitos. Would recommend it...especially on Monday’s. Discounted delicious burgers. Half price.
Went with the bf for Valentine’s Day and it was nice. They are particular about the dinner time if you make reservations. We went early and the table was only ready at when we booked / 8pm.
Server was very courteous and food is excellent in quality. Would definitely recommend booking it for those expensive dinner dates.
My girlfriend and I spent valentines day here. While the cleanliness was perfect and the ambiance was nice... The food seemed underwhelming for the price paid. We had 3 small apps, 4 drinks between us, and two entrees between us (one of which we had to send back - the fish was dry and tasteless). All of this was $180... With a failed entree.
HORRIBLE. I RESERVED A TABLE ONLINE. HAD TO WAIT FOR TABLE. MENU AT RESTAURANT DIFFERENT THAN ONLINE. OVERPRICED. HOST SAT US AT ROUND TABLE NEXT TO ENTRY/EXIT DOOR NEXT TO WAITER WORK STATION AND DOOR TO STORE. THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT A RITZ CARLTON PROPERTY. WHAT A DUMP!
Not at all one would expect from Ritz Carlton. Service was rushed and unprofessional. Gin and tonic overpriced with flat quinine. Salad average at best. Chips ( with excellent tomatillo sauce) were stale. Main course was average with meager size and poorly prepared quinoa. Vegetable side was also poorly prepared and arrived at end of meal without explanation or apology. Maybe just a bad night, but this was far below previous experiences at Ritz Carlton. Valet service, however, was excellent.
The restaurant is located at the Ritz so the service from pulling up to the valet to being greeted at the restaurant was top notch. The restaurant staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Super friendly and professional. The food was delicious. Great view of the water outside! Pleasant dinner.
This was one of many visits to the restaurant. As always the food is very good and the service was excellent. We started with the charcuterie plate, one of our favorites. I had the snapper with a shishito pepper preparation. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the accompaniments were delicious. The restaurant has a good vibe. My only complaint is that is can be a bit noisy. We will be back.
Very cool and casual restaurant especially for a Ritz Carlton. But the service is absolutely Ritz Carlton. Since we made reservation through Open Table the hostess and waiter both greeted us by name, and addressed us by name throughout the evening. The restaurant and hotel are on Fort Lauderdale beach with views of the ocean and lots of outside patio seating. Valet parking is free with restaurant validation. We ordered a pretzel with cheese dipping sauce small plate with drinks before dinner, shared a roasted beet, goat cheese and candied pecan appetizer and for dinner had a lobster pappardelli and a roasted chicken dish served over greens and black eyed peas. Everything was wonderfully prepared and presented. The restaurant has a Florida historical rum runner coast vibe which fits its Lauderdale location well. The restaurant is on concrete floors with no walls from the waiting area, to the bar, to the restaurant and on to the hotel gift shop. So the atmosphere could never be described as warm and cozy but it is relaxed and very unpretentious. We’ve been several times will almost certainly go back and would comfortably recommend it.
Interesting new cocktails and friendly bartenders. I loved their take on a sezerac - the sezerum (yum) Glad we came early to enjoy some time at the bar. The food was great -from appetizers, entrees and on to dessert. I had the sea salt roasted beets for an appetizer to share then the snapper with red quinoa and finished it all off with the key lime pie for 4 - perfect!
This restaurant is at the Ritz Carlton Hotel at the central beach area of Fort Lauderdale. I have been there over 10 times, as I live nearby. The food is very good and the wait staff is consistently excellent. The place is more casual than you’d expect including the decor. The atmosphere/vibe is very pleasant. Probably my favorite foods are the fish dishes and the “bootleg” burger. The shrimp cocktail is best I’ve ever had.
My bride and a friend had the smoked fish dip appetizer and rated it the best they ever had. They almost ordered seconds as their meal. The rest of the food was very good, but nothing that you wouldn't expect in a restaurant inside a Ritz Carlton. We enjoyed it completely.
Friends suggested the restaurant. Made the mistake of going Xmas time. The hotel that the restaurant is in was mobbed. If you want a upscale and don't mind the rest of the clientele in shorts, swim suits and very casual clothes, you will be ok. Will not return.
We live in Hollywood and wanted to drive to Ft. Lauderdale Beach during the holidays in order to celebrate my parents' 62nd wedding anniversary and enjoy the holiday lights, the beach, a water view and eat in a festive atmosphere. Had it not been so windy, we were booked to do all of that at an outside table. The host and waiter graciously accommodated our move inside where we experienced outstanding food and service. The music was a little too loud, but we understood that's the deal at a place like this. Our waiter, Fernando, and my husband collaborated on a special dessert and the chef did not disappoint. My parents received a beautiful pewter tray with "Happy Anniversary" written on it displayed with delicious churros, chocolate and caramel sauces and a flaming key lime tart. The presentation of the churros in the burlap bag, the coffee served in a classic "hiker's thermos" and the warm, herbed focaccia rolls nestled in brown paper surrounded by a pot of delicious olive oil in a special "BC"-stamped "treasure chest" made the evening! The beautiful crockery used for each plate of food was a feast for the eyes. Just the fun celebration we had hoped for - thank you!
What a pretty place. We sat outside. It was a lovely evening. The presentation was top notch and I was most impressed with our waiter, Jason. He was so kind, knowledgeable, warm, and on the ball. He's a great asset to this restaurant. Our experience overall was amazing. Definitely a place we will frequent.
My fiance and I had another fantastic meal at Burlock Coast. We stumbled upon this restaurant during our last trip to Fort Lauderdale and definitely had a to come back. The seafood is delicious, the drinks come quickly, and the wait staff is entertaining. Certainly worth stopping by if you're looking for a great night out.
