Burlock Coast Ratings and Reviews
This might have been the best dining experience that we have ever had. We were celebrating our 25th Anniversary and I don’t think that the staff could have done anything more to make us feel special! We will never forget our evening! Thank you!!!!
We didn’t need to make a reservation Sunday night around 7- we sat outside and loved it! Enjoyed the pork belly tacos and seafood tower - Tuna was perfect! Our server was very attentive and even asked our names and called us by them which was nice. Beautiful view on the water.
This is one of our neighborhood restaurants we visit often. Friendly good service and good choice of dishes. Their evening specials are amazing good value..excellent burger and a beer for $10 on the best beach restaurant in Fort Lauderdale Strip. Can not recommend it highly enough.
Restaurant is located inside of the Ritz Carlton Hotel- which gives you a view of Ft Lauderdale Beach if you dine outside. I went for Saturday brunch and had their Heuvos Rancheros which was fantastic. If you want a laid back brunch style, Saturday is the perfect day to go. I was seated quickly and my server was friendly and fast. I would definitely recommend this place for every day dinning or brunch.
Loved this venue. Came for dinner and enjoyed everything we chose. I have a spicy what guacamole dip with yaca chips then tuna tartare with fried plantain chips. We also had fish and chips which was beautifully beer battered flounder fish served with Sellotape potatoes half of which were white potatoes and the other half were blue potatoes . Another dish we tried was the grilled octopus which was also very good. Very delicious! Would recommend this restaurant.
The food was delicious. I shared the spicy avocado & tomatilo dip with my date and we both couldn't get enough. For dinner I had the lobster papparadelle which was also quite good.
The lower stars are all related to service. We were seated and then waited nearly 30 minutes for someone to come and bring us our drinks. We then waited a rather long time for our meals to be delivered and we're never really followed up with. Had to wait an unusually long time as well for the bill.
Service staff was poorly trained and not interested or helpfull in giving any advise on the menu. The food was below average and significantly overpriced. It was my first visit, following a recommendation from a colleague who visited a few months ago, my colleague by coincidence revisited the same day and had the same negative experience.
Not sure what happened but i wont go back.
Overall my experience was not terrible, however I expected much more from the Ritz Carlton. The service was very poor and the food was average. The food and service does not equate to the prices and expectations of a high end hotel. The plus is the beautiful view and big outdoor porch.
This was our first time at this restaurant. Delicious food, I had ceviche as a starter. I love ceviche, I have to say the ceviche at Burlock Roast was superb. We shared the snapper on a bed of red quinoa. Another excellent choice. The view was spectacular. Definitely a great find.
I've had better meals at lunch here but the lobster pasta was a real disappointment at dinner this week. Overcooked pasta drowned in sauce and only nuggets of lobster. Very overwhelming and heavy leaving one unsatisfied and disappointed for a Ritz property. Also from a service standpoint I wish managers would train staff better. It is impolite and shows lack of training for staff to ask to take plates when people are still chewing food or their fork is in their hand. Frankly, it is only proper to remove plates when the entire party has finished. Nothing worse than being the last one eating because you feel like staff are wiping the table down and sending you the bill. Management needs to work on this place for both service and food. Maybe it was a bad night but after spending 380$ I may only come back at lunch when I've had better luck.
I will be forever grateful for the amazing attention we received through out our stay at the Ritz, and the breakfasts, lunches and dinners we had at Burloc Coast.
I am vegan, so they were extremely accommodating and made sure to provide me the most complete and amazing meals every time. Even my birthday dinner they made me a great vegan dessert!
I think is the only restaurant I have been at at bat serves a huge amount of vegetables!!!
And my husband that is not vegan, loved the seafood and steaks!
We will be back every chance I have! Thank you!!!!
Loved this place!! Staff was very friendly. Gluten free friendly. I have a seafood allergy, was able to still accommodate. Their filet mignon was amazing.. their DESSERTS 🍨 OMG! Must have. Start with spicy avocado and a drink. Share an entree, and indulge on Dessert is my recommendation!! Love that it takes time to make foods and desserts.. great for enjoying your time.
The first table we were taken to was in a far corner that felt like a breakfast bar, not a fine dining restaurant. But the hostess quickly moved us to a much more suitable booth. We found the menu refreshingly different, even if not a huge selection. We loved the unique plating, and our server (Fernando) was absolutely outstanding.
A relatively small menu...two fish entrees, one steak, one chicken, one pasta...but everything was expertly prepared, with unexpected, well balanced flavors. An outstanding meal all-around, including the best key lime pie I have had anywhere. Informal and casual, on the beach, but preparation to rival any fine dining establishment. Also one of my local faves, because it is not really a "locals" spot, being in the Ritz on the beach. Feels like you're on vacation even if it is only 5 minutes from home.
We are so happy to find a restaurant that emphasizes sourcing their ingredients locally! The fish is fresh and local caught. The menu is full of yummy options so it was hard to decide. I ordered the squash blossoms, the heirloom tomato salad and the snapper filet. Everything was excellent! If you are into craft cocktails, they have a fun menu as well. The service was excellent and the location was perfect at the beach. You must try this place!
Although our waiter was great, he could not overcome problems experienced that evening. The hosted gave us incorrect information upon arrival, we waited quite a long time for drinks, food and service. Drink prices were very high compared to other similar establishments. Appetizers and entrees were excellent. Hopefully service will improve.
