What a great experience, exceptional service, great food and a relaxing ocean view.
Very slow at the valet .
Can't wait to return.
Amazing night, great food and service celebrating our anniversary, thank you!
Great spot for date night! A bit disappointed by the food taste. I would come back for happy hour.
Pricey for the offerings. 2 of 6 adults didn't like their entrees. 1 had today's fish said it was excellent. I loved the black eyed peas. I wouldn't go with a large group again. Service was good.
Great bartenders (Good service)! Nice place. Delicious food!
A little chilly inside so we asked the hostess for an outside table. She very nicely mentioned there was a group of men smoking cigars outside. We didn't notice walking in, but we really appreciated the heads up! Thank you! The lighting made it a little difficult to read the menu, but we managed. Waiter was great! Very attentive & efficient. Good food & a good selection of wine to chose from. Dessert was fabulous--chocolate, chocolate & more chocolate! Would definitely go back.
We were looking for something within walking distance from the Marriott Vacation Club, and initially chose Burlock Coast simply because of the location. Next trip to anywhere in the general area, we'll choose it for the superb food and attentive and professional service!
I started by being adventurous...not being a connoisseur (or even a fan frankly) of beets by ordering the Sea Salt Roasted Beets with Candied Walnuts and Goat Cheese. Simply put, wow! The best, hands down, beet dish I've ever tasted. The combination of the delicate sweetness of the beets and walnuts combined with the goat cheese and arugula with citrus was outstanding. The beets and accompanying vegetables were all cooked to perfection and presented delightfully.
For a main I ordered the Sea Scallops with fresh local carrots, braised mushrooms, turnip and radish. Sea scallops are particularly easy to mess up by cooking them ever so slightly too long. These were prepared to perfection with a sear that looked like a professional photoshop touch up. This dish was the epitome of "you eat with your eyes". Once I got past admiring the presentation, I was further impressed by the flavor and preparation of the scallops...super tender, moist and flavorful! Outstanding.
For dessert, the table shared the BC donuts...don't do it if you ever want to enjoy a donut anywhere else...ever again...period! Hot off the fryer, a perfect cinnamon sugar coat paired with a white chocolate banana rum sauce and praline spread...are you kidding me? Donut heaven.
Oh, and did I mention that they bake all their breads in-house? The pretzel sticks and herb focaccia that we started with were both outstanding as well.
The only complaint I have is that we live over a thousand miles away. That said, we'll be back!
not a lot on the menu and the bottomless mimosas are a little pricey and nothing to write home about. Expect more from a Ritz restaurant. it’s not a bad brunch just so many other options that offer more options and better experience overall
The atmosphere of the place is nice, however, they sat us in the breakfast area for dinner.
The server was very nice and knowledgeable about the food, probably the best part of the evening. The first dish was a tuna poke appetizer. We lost all sensation on our tongues after the first bites. It was over the top on salt and heat, demonstrating a lack of talent on flavor. The server then recommended the burrata tomato salad after that. It was great that they reserved the heavy finishing salt, but how hard is it to make a tomato burrata salad? The cobra was good. Cooked appropriately. The best course of the night. The desert was not innovative, apple tart with ice cream. This place caters to tourists. This is not for locals.
Great outdoor space with awesome views of the ocean.
The children’s pasta with marinara sauce is excellent. The beet salad and key lime pie are excellent.
Great brunch spot - very good service. Excellent food.
The Bar service was slow and the food service even slower. The bar was staffed with two bartenders and a barback. There were maybe 10 guests at the bar, yet it took over 20 minutes to hail a bartender and then receive a cocktail. And a simple one at that.
The food service was slow as well. The server (who may have been assigned too many tables) was slower still. We ordered wine, ten minutes later we were told that our selection was not available. The server left the wine list so we could re select. Ten minutes later the server returned to take our order for the next wine and food. We ordered both. The appetizers arrive and still no wine. The main course arrived and the wine shortly afterwards. More delay in getting our bill, then delay for the server to pick up the credit card, then more delay to get the bill returned for our signature.
The facility was half full. By the time we finally got out, we had surpassed our 2 hours of complimentary parking and each had to pay $10 to get our cars.
Really loved our server Deanne! She made great menu recommendations and the food was delicious.
The service waa superb at Burlock. My server was friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone called me by my name. I wasn't crazy about my main dish, but the dessert was great.
Mother’s Day brunch
Mother’s Day. We had a delicious “brunch” and it was so nice to receive a rose for Mother’s Day.
Our waitress was excellent.
We went to celebrate Mother's Day. My Mom and I enjoyed ourselves. I love the beach and our view was the scenic Fort Lauderdale Beach. It was awesome! I had a class a riesling, Mom had a margarita and the other ladies just has orange juice. I was not aware that on Sunday, they only had brunch. I thought they had a lunch menu on Sunday but they don't, just a brunch menu. Mom and I had the grouper sandwich - delicious. The other 3 ladies had the brunch and it was mostly breakfast food. We sat outside and it was amazing. Our table had a fan above and the sea breeze was amazing as well. Rain was forecast for the day but we had no rain. It was the perfect South Florida day.
Todd was an exceptional Server!
Nice view of Ft. Lauderdale Beach from the Terrace! Even though you are right on the street it is one of the less crowded and private places of this kind on A1A! The food was very good as well as the cocktails. They show a $ sign on Open Table but they are more like a $$. We were a party of 6 and the bill was almost $700!!!
Good food, outstanding service!
Will definitely go there again when in the area.
Burlock Coast is an average faring restaurant, not bad, just not great. The service was good, the food was fine...however, wine coming from a tap just doesn't work for me. We wanted to try, we did and that was it.
Just wonderful - seafood, ambiance and service!... Loved the ceviche with pineapple!
Amazing food, we sat outside in a beautiful day!!
Coffee was nice
Server neglected to place our order in the kitchen. Finally did and brought our table something to nibble. Never brought us bread. Took a table of 4 almost 3 hours to finish our meal. The whole yellow snapper did not even have the fins removed. It was poorly prepped. We were all very disappointed as I had enjoyed Chef DaSilva's cooking at the Marriott Harbor beach and was looking forward to her same high standards.
The location and the premises are wonderful, the service is friendly but the food is disappointing.
Had a business brunch on Saturday morning. Ordered the tower of seafood and the meat&cheese platters to start the table. Was total amazing. Would strongly recommend for weekend brunch. Also enjoyed the window seat overlooking the beach. Waiter service was top notch. 10 out of 10 experience.
Beachside breakfast buffet was delicious! It was $32 a person, but included beverages. They went out of their way to make it special for our honeymoon with free mimosas and a dessert to take home.
Some girl friends and I enjoyed Sunday brunch at Burlock Coast yesterday and it couldn't have been better! It was raining out but the covered patio was perfect with a view of the rainy beach. Our server was so polite and attended to us perfectly. Brunch selections from the menu were absolutely delicious! The garden omelette and stuffed french toast were divine. Upbeat, casual atmosphere but great for conversation!
Staff was very nice and the manager came by to check on us-which is always appreciated. Food was decent but, we thought, a bit overpriced. Would go back for the bar scene but not full dinner.
Have been there before. For brunch it is really terrific. For dinner it becomes a very noisy sports bar type of place outside. Perhaps stay inside. Huge wait to be outside, even with a reservation, and then we wished we’d stayed inside because the bar customers are very noisy and unaware and the cigarette smoke wafts over. The waiter pretty much only showed up here and there and wasn’t very nice. At brunch in the past everything has been stellar. I would highly recommend brunch and avoid dinner.
Food was good and table service was also good. The hostess was not very friendly. Took us 20 minutes to get our check.
We had a wonderful early dinner waterfront at the Ritz. People who might think it’s too fancy or expensive need to try it. The meal, service and location were perfect. We had a leisurely dinner with wine and dessert. Amazing!
Everything about our Evening was awesome - the Manager [Steven] our Server [Jason]
were both terrific ... And of course our Food was great ....... There were six of us and everyone loved the experience .... Thank you to all ......
Awesome restaurant in Fort Lauderdale! Highly recommend for a great meal with even better service!
A very dissapointing experience for brunch. The menu is worded in a way that there was too many delightful options. Reality, the food was terrible. It wasn't just my food but the whole table of 5. To make matters worse it took a half an hour for the bill to come out. Our waiter started off well then seemed to be unable to attend to our table. It was frustrating to ask for a bottle of water for the table when you can see the current water is empty.
The most amazing brunch experience. The food and service were outstanding. View of the beach is gorgeous. GO HERE IMMEDIATELY
Good food. Great beach side atmosphere.
I’ve eaten here before and all was good but this time very disappointing. The charred octopus tasted like charcoal with tentacles burnt black and $15 for one measly tentacle smh. The waiter recommended the whole fish over the scallops which I’ve had before and were good but I guess he was choosing the highest priced item not the best because the fish was horrible. It obviously had been chilled to the point if frozen because the meat was all tiny flakes indicative of being frozen then cooked before thawed. The Thai chili sauce was horrible. Wine list ok but lacked value for the price
Food was fantastic!! Service very personalized and attentive.
