Burghfield Spices is a favourite local Indian restaurant situated in the teeny tiny Burghfield Village with its sweet central green and surrounding common land. Though on the main road, it would be easy to miss the restaurant, not because it’s small, but simply because the bucolic old white painted Hatchgate Inn is probably the last place you’d expect to find Indian food. But somehow, the pub has effortlessly accommodated a completely new direction, morphing in to a pleasantly modern fine dining establishment where service is impeccably polite and formal and food is firmly of the Asian persuasion. With the knowledge gained through years of experience and pure talent too, the Burghfield Spices kitchen produces typically Indian dishes using only authentic ingredients. The extensive menu includes a number of Tandoori specialties alongside dishes unique to the Burghfield Spices team and, of course, all the trimmings one expects of an Indian feast.

Liked the food but one of the waiter was quite rude and condescending We were charged for more than what we had asked for and what was served . I am not sure I will be able to convince my family to go back there despite the fact that the food was reasonably good. I hope this visit was an exception and all others get a better service.

Services was very poor, decor poor and not very clean overall, food was bland with not much flavour. I am not a food snob or anything, I just appreciate a clean place to eat, good food and good service this is not the case with this place, i would strongly advice anyone to keep your hard earned money in your pocket and look elsewhere

Amazing food, very attentive staff and a lovely atmosphere. Only criticism - decor is very tired could with an update but doesn’t spoil the taste of the food though

Sunday Buffet - great choice of dishes, piping hot, freshly cooked and delicious. Excellent value for money and very friendly staff.

Great food with good vegetarian options. (Lots of vegetable side dishes). My husband had the chicken tikka kebabs and commented on how succulent the meat was. Service was excellent- staff made us feel special. We were even offered a drink on the house at the end of our meal along with chocolates etc. What's not to love. Would highly recommend

This was the first time we had visited Burghfield Spices as we had previously visited ones in Tadley and had become disappointed with them. The food here was excellent, the service was very attentive and polite, and the price of the meal and drinks was very reasonable. We will definitely be returning to Burghfield Spices. One thing to note though is to go in the right hand door as you enter the pub - It is not clear that you need to do this. The left door is for the Pub. All in all, a very pleasurable meal.
