Burger & Beer Joint - Pembroke Pines Ratings and Reviews
We were visiting family in Pembroke Pines and we decided to check it out because it had a large menu with a lot of interesting things (just the different levels of burgers was pretty amazing!). We had a very personable and helpful server, it wasn't a busy night, we sat outside and tried some apps and a flatbread along with cocktails, beer and wine. There is definitely something for everyone and if you have a big group, go for the The Mother Burger. When you see it, you'll know why!
We were hoping to find a great hamburger but our first experience was dissappointing. It took a long time to be served. The hamburger was just warm and that may have affected the taste which was just okay. The wait staff was fantastic and very helpful . The menu is excellent but I was really looking for a great hamburger. My lunch mate was dissappointed too for the same reason. However he loved the fries.
THEYHAVE THE WORNG TIME ONLINE THEY SAY THEY CLOSE AT 12 BUT THE KITCHEN CLOSES AT 11:15PM AND THEY DONT TELL YOU THAT I DROVE ALL THE WAY FROM HIALEAH TO PEMBROKE TO EAT EVEN THOUGH I JUST HAD RECENTLY FINISH WORKING I HAD A SPECIAL OCASSION WITH MY GIRLFRIEND AND WE WENT THERE BECAUSE IT WAS THE BEST WELL TEH SUPPOSED BEST DIDN'T CARE WHERE I CAME FROM TO EAT THERE AND THE ERROR THAT THEY HAD MADE THE ONLY THING THEY SAID WAS YOU CAN STAY INSIDE THERESTAURAN OR OUTSIDE BUT KITCHENENDS IN 15MIN SO BASICALLY I CLOUSD STAY BUT NOT EAT WHEN I GOT THERE THEY RECEPCION WAS BAD I HAD TO GO LOOK FOR SOMEONE IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE OTHER WAY AROUND AND WE FINALLY DID FOUND SOMEONE WELL NOT EVEN HE KNEW AT WHAT TIME THE RESTAURANT CLOSED AT I WOULD NEVER GO AGAIN BEFORE CALLING AND TALKING TO AREAL PERSON TO MAKE SURE THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN AGAIN.
We loved the burgers! A bit pricey but, the 4 of us agreed burgers are great, my husband repeatedly raved how great the bun was.
I had mine on a lettuce leaf. The bucket of mini corn dogs were delicious. We did not like the wings. We ordered mild, they were Not mild, our server said those were their mild. She sweetly took them back & gave us dry wings, they were so over cooked they looked awful & tasted awful. We'll go back for the burgers & skip the wings. Our server was very sweet & attentive.
I should have read the reviews before we went. It took over 20 minutes just to take our order and get water. Once we placed our order our food took forever. The manager kept coming over promising it would be just another few minutes. The food showed up almost 90 minutes after we sat down and was cold.
What's interesting is one meal was sent back as it was cold. I'm sure it sat for a while waiting I for other food. When it was brought back the burger was warm but the French fries ere even colder suggesting they didn't pay attention to the whole plate.
The manager offered us desert as compensation but we had already lost our appetite. When the bill came there was not one item that was comped as a gesture of apology.
Worse is that the place was 3/4 empty. They obviously don't have enough staff and certainly don't have good staff pushing out food. We are in disgust. I apologized to out friends for dragging them 40 minutes to get there. We were 10
People and would never go back again.
What a hot mess. Arrived at 730. Not very crowded. We were seated right away. Took 10 minutes for anyone to come to the table. We gave our drink order. It took 10 minutes for the beer and water to come and, amazing more than 15 minutes for a Diet Coke. Our drink order was taken 20 minutes after we were seated - 2 burgers (one was just plain, no bun on lettuce), a chili and a side of fries. 35 minutes for the chili to come to the table. As the manager conformed, 45 minute AFTER we ordered, the burgers arrived. We did politely complain to the manager about the poor service and received a paltry 20% discount off out bill. As a likely former regular (at least one per month), I would have thought given the disaster that the service was the manager would have done better. We were also not the only diners with issues that night. The family with 2 young kids who had been there longer than we were, were clearly not happy. It will be awhile before we return -- if we return. There are burgers of equal quality with much better service. Truly disappointing.
Burger & Beer Joint offers good burgers but be careful of piling on the ingredients. One friend's burger ended up costing nearly $20. Also, one person in our party didn't get their burger as they requested. Took nearly half an hour for that medium rare burger to be prepared.
We expected burger nirvana but didn't achieve it
A place called Burger & Brew Joint has to serve great burgers and it does. The Thunder Road was great--1/2 lb. beef blend with thick sliced applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, bourbon BBQ sauce, but the sesame bun is too small to hold the burger. The build your own burger also was good. Each was served perfectly as requested.
But the restaurant needs a full time hostess. At least 10 people were lined up at the front when we came in, waiting for someone to come seat them--there were plenty of open tables.
A plus for dog owners--dogs are welcomed at the outdoor seating
last time I reviewed called for a little freshness in beer menu. and this time saw a little hint of that.....just a little. this visit the servers were a tad too casual ,if not a bit disinterested. the food in its price range is almost always dead on. and have met and interacted with exemplary engaged managers. but they need to keep their staff/servers mindful they are embassadors of the establishment.
We reserved via Open Table the table was ready, thank you!
Service was good but not exceptional, the waiter blamed on the slow kitchen, maybe but irrelevant, same result
Burgers were good prepared to order, a bit over priced but still a good tasting burger
Great Beer selection and ambiance
I like the original in 17th st better but this one has a lot more tables
Will be back
Started with the Mahi cakes; wow, were they full of flavor! The menu has many great items outside of burgers; certainly will be back to try other selections. Burger was good; not outstanding. Service was absolutely top notch for fast casual dining. Kudos to management for that!
been here at least a dozen times. hands down best burger West Broward.
beer and cocktail menu getting a pinch stale, but solid .
the beguiling piece is the service is all over the place. we've had on point attentive servers(Scot lad),and we've gone lunar cycles without attention. have resigned ourselves no matter how perfect the weather may be,go inside. seating outside almost certainly guarantees wanting to put server's picture on milk cartons
