What Insiders Are Saying
Burger & Barrel makes some of the better burgers in NYC.
Probably the best pure burger I've had in New York City. Menu doesn't have all the bells and whistles of other burger restaurants, but in terms of pure burger, it was great!
Been here a few times and the food is always good but this time the waitress we had was exceptional. Very polite and knowledgeable. I made it a point on departure to tell her what a good job she did.
I also liked sitting in the back this time. The area by the bar is much too noisy for conversation.
I will be back.
Lamburger was terrific!
Arrived and was seated and then moved to a larger booth without asking. Much appreciated. Nice wine list by glass and bottle. Burgers were delicious and deep dish cookie perfect dessert. Service very attentive and excellent throughout meal. Will definitely return.
Reliably exceptional food, excellent mixed drinks, good service, and great atmosphere.
Great place! We went with a group of friends and sat in corner booth and had a wonderful evening! You can't go wrong with the dip, the chicken popsicles and the Bash Burger. Would definitely go back.
We ate at B&B a few months ago while visiting NYC. This past week business brought us to White Plains, NY : a city 30 miles north of SoHo.
We braved a commuter train and subway ride coupled with a brisk walk for a late lunch at B&B. The effort was worth it. We both had excellent veggie burgers with fries that was preceded by ricotta toast with pomegranate, roasted pecans, honey and chilie flakes. They should package and sell it!
Staff was as friendly on a slow hour as they were before during prime time.
Another great meal.
Food was delicious. The ricotta toast outstanding everyone at our tabled loved it.
I learned about this from the Food Network show Burgers, Brew & ‘Que. I was traveling to NY and had to try it. I had the Bash Burger and it was amazing! I usually use ketchup no matter the burger, but this one I didn’t as it ruined the great flavors. The onion rings were also light yet crispy. Well worth the trip.
Awesome. The aged burger was great. Wings were spectacular. Didn’t have desert but sure looked good. Maybe I should have.
Yummy burger and a really nice glass of wine on tap!
Great place to hang out and eat a great meal and drinks.
Very Nice Place, Great Burgers
Love this place!
One of my favorite brunch spots, especially when I'm craving a burger. The fiance and I both love the Bash Burger and their Bloody Marys (although they no longer put bacon bits in them, which was our favorite part). Service was wonderful, and people watching is amazing by the window.
Overall very average meal, went for the burger that was a 6 time winner. The meat was cooked perfect and very juicy, under seasoned though. The bacon jam, caramelized onions, and special sauce just made for a sloppy mess. The frozen French fries where very disappointing and the bun was average. The onion rings on top of the burger where cooked perfectly.
While the burger was good overall just wasn’t impressed with the experience. Menu online isn’t updated, they no longer serve prime rib unless you order it ahead for a group dinner. The buratta ravioli itself was good but sauce was very watery and presentation was poor. They also were out of the carmenere on the wine list and didn’t bother to suggest another option.
As usual, food was fantastic and the service was outstanding.
I was looking forward to the bash burger as the restaurant boasts it winning 6x best burger in NYC. Flavors were great but I wish there was more texture - adding lettuce/tomato would have brought it to the next level - at least for my tastes. The fries were not great - they tasted a bit stale but maybe my table got a bad batch.
The ambiance and music was nice but it was rather dark - I couldn’t read the menu without the table candle or cell flashlight. Service was great, my water glass never went empty and the staff was very kind.
Burgers were unreal - BMC was our favorite. Music playlist was also on point!
Veggie burger was great, loved the Brussels sprouts side
What an off night! The four of us made reservations for dinner at 8:15 this past Saturday. Service was really slow, communication was poor (we had three different people ask us if we wanted drinks, and then our drinks took 20 minutes to arrive and were incorrect when they did) and everything seemed to take longer than it should. Side dishes were all delicious- loved the tater tots, brussels sprouts and grilled broccoli- but their award-winning burger and fries were delivered cold, and my fiancé couldn't taste any evidence of bacon jam on his burger. We would not return.
Amazing experience it was the first time coming here and saw on trip advisor it was a really good restaurant the manager was really nice and they made sure everything was good, music and food was amazing aswell definitely be back.
Great burger! Great fries! Great wine selection! It’s just in pricey the pricey side.
The service was terrible. It was not crowded yet we did not see our waitress for 40 minutes. We had finished our drinks by the time the appetizer arrived, and did not see the waitress or have another drink until we were almost done with entree. At some point, someone in a suit, presumably the manager, asked if we needed anything. We ordered another beer, it never came.
So although the service was terrible, the burger was awesome.
Fantastic menu, amazing restaurant group leadership.
I feel like they don’t get the clientele they deserve. The food is really really great.
For a wine bar, the wine was average but priced like something special. The food was good but small bites. Over-all, decent but not priced for the product.
Food and service were great. It was uncomfortable in the restaurant since the heat was not working properly and the outside temperature was around 20 degrees.
One of my go to spots. Best burgers on planet! Great staff and menu.
Tasty burgers and sandwiches. Fun atmosphere. Burgers need to be bigger to match the price.
This is basically a corner bistro type of place with the basics chicken/ fish and of course their burgers, while they claim they are award winning that remains to be seen. The wine list is very very expensive for a corner bistro the cheapest red wine is $52 and that’s on TAP - it was dreadful. Next cheapest $62. Outrageousness!!!
The food was delicious, but I was disappointed in their cocktails. I would recommend this restaurant for the meal only and wish I had stuck to the beer selections. Also, this was the only restaurant that we went to this week that did not acknowledge my Mom's 70th birthday, which we told them we were in town celebrating. So although the food was fantastic, I would not recommend for a special occasion.
The food was excellent; however I was unimpressed by the wait staff. We had reservations for 8pm on a Sunday and there were very few people in the restaurant. Regardless it felt as though we were forgotten by everyone who worked there. We never really had one person waiting on us making the experience very disjointed. The food makes up for that, but it was still frustrating.
We were going to the Bitter End and stopped in for a bite before with friends. The roast beef tacos were very tasty, the burger was very good and the fish main course was excellent. Good drinks and wine,
The smell of the bathroom deodorizer permeated the restaurant. It was downhill from that point.
Get their award winning burger. You won’t be disappointed. Also their truffle fries were amazing.
This is a great restaurant in SoHo for those looking for some good meat! Chicken, burgers, fish, etc - pretty much all with a fun and flavorful twist. I was bummed that the ribs that read so well on the menu were not available due to the brunch crush, but I defaulted to a burger and it was solid. A group of six all ate, drank, and gave it a thumbs up!
