Great atmosphere, friendly, and overall fun place to go to
What a disappointment tonight! We made reservations for Valentine Day and when we arrived they had a painting class set up which took up almost the entire indoor space. Apparently, this class is every Wednesday and Sunday, holiday or not. We checked out the patio, but between the smokers and the loud bohemian folk singer we opted for a corner as far away from the amplified paint instructor as possible. We ordered drinks, and when we tried to order, we were told they were out of both the salmon and the steak. We waited as we decided on alternatives, but after being seated for over a half hour with no drinks and no one checking on us we called across the street and found a table within 15 minutes. We walked out and had a really nice dinner somewhere else. We used to like this place, but the furniture is worn, the service spotty, the entertainment isn't entertaining and still allowing smoking on the patio will keep us away. We won't be back.
Average food, decor os lacking. Not a good place for a date.
Excellent surprise! Good food and our waitress was wonderful.
We made a reservation on open table and when we got to the restaurant it was closed. If they were taking reservations they should be honored or at least we should have been called by the restaurant to cancel. We would never go back.
Great food! EXCELLENT value!
I have always had a great time at BBG's. I've been coming here for years and would recommend it to everyone.
5:45 reservation - we had patio to ourselves!
Great service and good food -
Salsa live music was a great experience
Very nice , value for money !!!! Must go , hangout with friends is a great option , everything under one roof.
Open Table booked a reservation at this restaurant for us on a Monday night. Fun fact: The restaurant is CLOSED on Mondays. Bad glitch.
Loved the food and our waitress Katherine was absolutely fantastic. The apple turnovers were more pastry than apple but everything else we had was great! We will definitely return on our next visit!
Very good music (band) and good food , a bit pricey but good food
Our server was prompt and excellent with thoughtful recommendations. It was quieter since it was earlier when we dined (6:30pm on a Friday). I am sure it is livelier when there's a band playing. But it was perfect for us. We enjoyed the spacious booths and the portion sizes of the starters and "classics" are perfect for sharing. We would definitely go back!
Came in here Saturday night with a large party, made reservations ahead of time. Everything was going great, service was a little slow, but I understood due to the busy night the waiters must've been going crazy.
Food arrived, everything looked presentable and Delicious. One of my friends was quite pleased with her salad, not until she looked down to grab a what she thought was a piece of lettuce (it was not) it seemed like a big insect on the lettuce.
My party and myself were just utterly lost for words, mainly because we bagan to wonder the quality of the food. We all lost our appetite, We called the manager over and explained that one of the plates had a very large moth. She quickly rushed off and said "okay, I'll get you a new one." After coming here several times in the past I was a bit disappointed.
I manage a firm, I am not trying to compare apples and oranges. But when something like this happens especially in the food Industry you acknowledge the persons feelings. And reassure them that it won't happen again. And you hope that they trust you and come back for more business. Her reaction to what we had in our plate was not in any way unapologetic. I've uploaded a picture of what was on our plate that night. In hope to shed some light on my fellow yelpers. I will not be coming back here, and I will make sure that all of my friends, colleagues, classmates and relatives are aware of the disgraceful episode we had with them!
Solid menu. All continental cuisine with a bar menu too. Full bar, live entertainment. Parking in downtown Burbank is always a challenge but it's free.
My husband and I used to go to the Burbank Bar & Grille quite frequently, so when my boss told me to pick a place to get together for dinner, I naturally picked the Burbank Bar & Grille. Wow was I not only disappointed, but embarrassed. We were seated at a table with no napkins or utensils and sat like that until the food came even after asking for them repeatedly. We sat for a long while before being asked if we wanted anything to drink, then waited for our drinks, then sat around for a long while before the waitress came back to take our orders and when the food came, it was wrong. My boss' wife asked for onion rings with her burger and she got fries, I asked for no tomato in my burger and I got a tomato. Again, I was truly embarrassed. Thanks but no thanks on coming back.
Were kick out because my friend was tire of dancing and took of her shoes to keep dancing. They made the biggest deal when they were so many other girls with no shoes on. Security told her to leave and they were so rude and they said they were going to call the police. we got upset because we had been there since dinner and had spend almost 500.00 we said go ahead cal the police. We did nothing wrong and we had a decimated driver. One of the securities he was a white short wanna be robocop, he push me when I was already leaving I told him not to push me and that I wanted to wait for the cops, because no one has the right to push anyone. The cops never got there so we left but today I will call the restaurant and complain.
We needed a place for dinner in Burbank befort the theater and selected Burbank Bar and Grille from their web site. It was clean, with good, friendly service, The food was OK, but not great.
Thought we'd try a new place. Once was enough. Happy Hour deals were priced nicely, but the taste wasn't anything to crow about. Maybe if we came on a night where there was live music it would have made the meal less important.
BBG is a good bar food joint. If you are just looking for a casual dinner, perhaps with some sports and/or entertainment, this is a good place to have on your radar.
Corn bread was way too crumbly and when we questioned the waitress, she agreed and said it's typically not like that, but didn't offer us a different one. Also the chili was very thin, and more like soup!
I like B&G because is a great environment and great music. I like life music and DJ which is a great combination. Fun environment!
Live music weekends, we were there after work. Food was very good. Initial greeting was less than welcoming. Waitress made up for it. Not much in the way of ambiance, more of a bar with tables. Again fod was very tasty.
Great Find! We enjoyed the food and wished we could stay longer. We were in a hurry to get to a High School basketball playoff game!
Even though the menu isn't anything out of this world, you go to this place for it's cozy patio, nice bar, very friendly staff, no, the food is not horrible. But it could be better.
First time visit and we will be back - great food, wonderful service and pleasant atmosphere.
Service was great. Got there before our reservation time and was seated right away.
love the live band of 70-80's music. great for dancing. friendly staff.
The owner changed the menu for the worse. Used to have the best rib eye I have ever tasted and it is no longer on the menu. Also the teriyaki chicken as an appetizer was removed. Bring them back!!!
We had a great time. Music and dancing were so much fun. Would have like a few more healthy food choices.
Food was good, service was good and music was good. Had a good time.
My party and I had a awesome time at the 80s night. We ate had some drinks and the service was great. The band was really good and the transition to the DJ and back to the band was smooth, thus creating a nonstop fun ambiance. We got great food, drinks, service, cool concert and great DJ all in one. I'm just sad I didn't experience this place sooner, so many nights wasted.
Service was slow, waitress unattentive, salad mediocre, steak arrived lukewarm, broccoli tasteless and cold, coffee great.
DJ played an excellent mix of music; we went there to dance, really looking forward to dancing, but should have brought my airport headphones as the music was INSANELY LOUD. I don't think I've ever felt my sternum vibrate before. I sat at a table with my fingers in my ears the entire night. We were forced to leave.
Like they say,"BBG ROCKS!" Javier and staff are fantastic and it is a great place to host a birthday party. It was my wife's birthday on last Friday and they even put her on stage with the band. Thank you Javier.
We were really not too impressed by this this eatery. Just average on everything, we probably will not go back.
Attended on a early Monday evening, so did not witness a typical later or weekend nightlife atmosphere. Very good food. Server was very helpful and friendly.
The band that plays on Friday and Saturday nights is worth the trip alone. The service is all right-once the place starts getting packed (around 19:30/10pm), the waitress/waiters don't come around very often. But if you stop them while they run past, you can get your food/drinks ordered.
The service was good, but the food was just ok. I liked my meal, but our friends' steak was mediocre and he ordered a Rob Roy, but got a Roy Rogers. The appetizers were good. The manager was very much involved with helping his servers.
"I liked the feel of this place. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The appetisers were very good. Service was well-timed and friendly, beers and drinks were affordable."
