We came to Buon Appetito for Mother's Day. Food was great, service was quick and friendly. The restaurant is cozy and relatively quiet. Would come back for a special occasion.

This is my favorite Italian resturant in Little Italy. Unfortunately, we went to celebrate a Mother's Day dinner and they were out of all the major fishes we went there for. That was the reason for the not so perfect review. Otherwise, I've been there many times and have enjoyed the food very much.

The waiter made us feel rushed but it was Mother's Day. The food and wine were very good. Even though we felt rushed, the service was excellent.

Simply AMAZING!!! Best restaurant in Little Italy. Delicious food (the risotto is to die for . . . and I have yet to experience another kitchen that can prepare a filet mignon the perfect "rare+"). The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and have the timing of a meal down to a science. I cannot say enough about this restaurant. If I lived in San Diego, I would dine there once a week.

Met relatives from Atlanta here for a very special evening. The pork Osumbuco was Off the Hook tender and simply delicious. The spinach and cheese ravioli was light, not doughy, and mouth watering. Everyone enjoyed their meal and shared the sweet, creamy, and scrumptious Canolli. Atmosphere is wonderful and Vito made it the best evening ever. We will definitely return over and over, again.

Our party of 3 enjoyed the location, the food and the service. One of our party was in a wheelchair and although I would consider the restaurant to be cozy in size, the table design accommodated the wheelchair better than most restaurants. I had the Veal Oso Buco - it was deliciously authentic. My guests shared the Farfalle con Pollo (smoked chicken breast with sundried tomatoes and mushrooms in s a white cream sauce). Our server recommended that they split the dish and we could see why - even with the split, both servings were enormous. We shared tastes all around and everything was delish. We will be back! Special thanks to our server for the patience he showed our group - he was very gracious.

Great food and superb, friendly service for our party of 10. We sat inside, but there's also nice patio seating by the sidewalk. A bit noisy inside, but that did not detract from our special ocassion family and friends dinner. I like how they seated us at a long table near the wall vs the middle of the room. I would go back to Buon Appetito in a heartbeat! Next time we're in San Diego- we'll be back. Our thanks to the staff for a great dining evening!

We thoroughly enjoyed our food. However, when our waiter asked what we'd like to drink and I ordered a diet Coke and my wife a Chianti, he seemed to have lost all interest in us. We did not know if a salad came with dinner, it didn't, our waiter didn't even ask us if we'd like to order salad. When we were ready to leave, we asked for cannoli to take home and we got one. We would have liked two. This could have been a great dinner, but our waiter was a bit aloof. Next time we will speak up. The ravioli and the lasagna were delicious!!!

The noise was horrible. We were sat by a large party and people were literally yelling at each other. The beer and wine prices were extremely high for the venue. The menu posted online on multiple sites wasn't accurate nor the pricing.

This was one of three little Italy restaurants we visited on this trip. It was a distant 3rd in ranking. Crummy service and not that great of food or surroundings. We won't be back.

I LOVE Buon Appetito!! One of my favorites in San Diego. The staff is great! The food delicious! I would've rated ambience higher but we had a family with young, noisy children next to us. ☹️ Usually we've had much better ambience and it certainly wasn't the restaurant's fault. Too bad they don't have room for a separate "family room".

Both main entrees, Sea Bass with mussels over linguine & risotto w/beef were very good, as was minestrone and caprese appetizers. Noise level was fair, enough that parents could still have conversations and not be self-conscious about the kids' noise.

creative modifications of classic dishes with perfect standard Sicilian fare. Vitelli piccata was superb. Swordfish salad, chicken liver salad as entrees were sensational and with outdoor patio seating and a sunny day made our choices just right.

Arrived early to our reservation time but we were seated promptly. All the staff we warm and welcoming. Started the meal with a bread basket and VERY fresh spicy tomato sauce--absolutely delicious. Entrees (lasagna and linguini neri) were massive and so tasty. Would definitely recommend!

Burn Appetito is my favorite restaurant in San Diego. I eat there at least 1 time when I am visiting. Took a large group of colleagues. They all raved how delicious the food was. The owner came over and thanked us for coming in. Service was fabulous and again the food was and is always DELICIOUS!

Came here on an early Sunday afternoon at a co-worker's recommendation. Great service, and large and delicious portions. The menu online looks slightly different than what we saw in person, but we each ordered a pasta dish: gnocchi, farfalle, baked ziti, and linguine allo scoglio. Also had tartufo and creme brulee for dessert. Everything tasted wonderful. Very glad I ate here.

The truffle dish was way too overpowering. Couldn't eat it. The seafood aboro rice was not cooked enough. Too crunchy with no flavor to the seafood. The chicken part was good. The salmon dish was so so. Too noisy and the table was too small for 5 people

Did not expect the place to be pretty small, but it was comfortable. The place was very busy which would explain why it took a while for our orders to be taken and for our food to arrive. The bread was really good but it took a while to get it as well, but it was worth the wait. The food overall was good, would return.
