This is by far our favorite spot in little Italy. We’ve never had a bad meal here and highly recommend this place
Loud, food adequately.
Nice restaurant with great food and service. You will be happy you chose to dine there!
Probably one of the best pasta dishes I've ever eaten.
Took my daughter prior to attending a play. Great food and overall experience that will make lasting memories
Great dining, like being served by family, outstanding pastas and the calamari was crisp and tasty. Very nice wine list at very reasonable prices. Big portions, so plenty to take home, just beer and wine, but as noted, big selection and very reasonable. Give it a try!!
Recommended by friends who have frequented on every trip to San Diego. We were not disappointed. I wanted something that was not on the menu - no problem, they made it for me❣️
Michaella (sp?) was simply amazing!! Service A-1! Recommendations were on point and just a great friendly face!!! She's a keeper!!! 😊
Nice lunch in Little Italy.
We came here for our birthdays and the food was absolutely amazing! Just a slight glitch my bf was still eating his bread and the waiter asked if we wanted more bread and we said No and he proceeded to take the bread basket and the delicious marinara away and we were still eating it. We asked for bread again to get the marinara sauce back. We still enjoyed our experience here and will definitely return again when we visit San Diego again.
The food was OK. I can make same level at home. Nothing special. Will not be going back.
Superb Food great location and good wine list.
Honeymoon dinner for our last night in San Diego and oh boy did we pick the right restarting. The arrancini balls are to die for and I’d recommend splitting pasta entrees as they are huge.
We had this incredible squid ink linguini and I’ve never had anything like it in my life. Great food, and a phenomenal server as well. Luckily we got to sit outside as inside is quite loud.
Would 11/10 recommend to anyone looking for delicious Italian in the heart of little Italy. Plus it’s just a walk down from Mikkeller and Ballast Point both award winning breweries for a little after night drink.
Great food and service. Outside was great, but way too noisy inside for our liking. Had to shout to be heard.
The noise level was unbearable. We couldn’t speak to one another across our small table. Others in the restaurant were speaking at very loud levels simply to communicate with each other too.
The main course was above average; but, the bread was unexceptional (not freshly baked; simply a cheap store bought small loaf of bread).
The dessert we ordered (Cannoli) also was unexceptional... we anticipated better. Overall, not what we expected from a restaurant boasting of a 4 1/2 star rating.
The two of us were there to celebrate a Birthday. This was noted in the special comment section when booking our reservation online and the hostess was reminded as well as we were being seated; but, to no avail. That special occasion went unnoticed. By all appearances this restaurant is simply trying to serve its patrons meals as quickly as possible to maximize their revenues.
I believe a 3 star rating is much more appropriate. They have a considerable road ahead of them to achieve a 4 star rating... let alone a 4 1/2 star rating.
Great food and great service. If I have to say something negative, it would only be that the 2 top tables are a bit too small.
Friendly wait staff. Fast service. Food was delicious and a healthy serving.
Fantastic food and service. Am a returning customer. I have celiac and have never had an issue with their gluten free pasta option.
Loved this restaurant and would highly recommend. The food was excellent and our server Tamzin was exceptional.
Great find as a visitor to San Diego. Food was delicious!
The only reason I gave a three on service was because they didn’t bring out appetizers. Other than that it was a beautiful dinning experience. First time visiting Little Italy and it this dining experience was relaxed and like being dropped in Italy
We brought customers for dinner and had a wonderful experience. Everyone boasted about their meals. My own (that I can’t pronounce or even spell :) ) was fantastic! The service was impeccable! Our water/wine glasses were filled regularly and everyone was welcoming. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Made a reservation a week prior to celebrate my 60th birthday. Our reservation was at 6pm and most tables were open when we arrived. Our group of 5 were seated around two small tables right under the hostess station. My husband could literally hear the caller’s voice with each call that came in.
Food was delicious and service good; should have asked to move, but guess I expected a reservation would have gotten us some preferred seating.
Good Food, nice ambiance and servers. Good prices as well.
We had the duck Ragout, the sauce was watered by the fussily pasta, everything else was very good
The restaurant was exactly how I imagined an Italian restaurant should be. Our waiter was fun, helpful and checked on us in the just the right amount of time. The menu is exciting, inviting and makes you feel like you are transported to Italy for the experience. We sat outside people watching with our wine glasses. The sea bass and the veal were exquisite. The Anti-Pasti platter of cheese and meats were delightful, and the Cannoli and Cappucino was a great way to end the evening. Gratsi!
The food here is consistently good— this particular evening I ordered the or Orchiette with fresh homemade fennel sausage topped with bits of tomato and basil. Cooked al Dente to perfection!
The room is very small and extremely noisy (front room)— our server was extremely attentive but the hostess was abrupt telling us when we got there we all had to be there before we got seated— understandable but how about saying it with a smile?
Very tight seating, very noisy, staff seemed distracted. Food was very good, price was reasonable.
Great service and great food. Authentic Italian restaurant.
Great atmosphere, we showed up with a large group, and a short-notice reservation. the restaurant was very accommodating, and the room they put us in was quiet (~6pm) and then picked up. Staff was attentive and made great recommendations. The food was very good!
Food was the best. The service staff were great
Excellent meal! Great service and ambiance!
Had a great meal and enjoyed the experience. Will definitely return on our next visit to San Diego!
Waitesss super friendly and from Bari.
Owner is true italian and food is excellent.
Big big serving. Suggest to split to avoid to trash that amazing food.
Food, service and ambience were outstanding. It was rather noisy but we were seated next to a table of 14. The arancini appetizer was delicious. As well as the capellini. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Felt like we were in Italy!
Always love going here for every occasion! Perfect date night
Service was horrendous. Ten minutes at table before waiter came to table. Appetizers came out quick but we had to eat at small table with oversized menus on laps. Apps were finished and waited another ten minutes before order was taken for main course. After placing order, waited close to 45 minutes for meals to be served. Waiter was so worried about having fun with the Bar tender that he didn’t even seem to notice. Food was ok, probably would have tasted better if service wasn’t so poor.
Everything was wonderful. Staff was super-friendly and our female waitress, with a wink and a nod, lead me in the right direction of what to order. It was PERFECTION. Wonderful and cozy.
Server was do
