Bully's East Prime Bistro Sports Bar Ratings and Reviews
We just wanted a place to watch the Aztec football game, have some good food and a few drinks. We were very impressed. Food was all delicious, servings were good, and price was affordable. The lightning bolt margaritas were good, and there was a good beer selection to go along with everything else. Atmosphere was very nice, as well as the service. We will be back
Although I love the food here, I was not happy that the price on the web site and what I paid was different. When I "googled" Bully's East, the 8 oz prime rib showed $20 and that's why I made the reservation. I was paying for a friend's dinner so didn't want to make a comment when the bill came; however, when I got home, I checked their web site and the 8 oz lists as $23; I paid $25. It would be nice if Bully's gave me a credit.
First time trying out Bully's East. I had heard the name here and there but had never tried it, so went for a date night on a Friday evening. Really impressed! Doesn't look like much on the outside, but very large inside and cool atmosphere. Very old school looking bar with great selections. Lots of televisions for watching sports. A nice variety on the menu including lots of steak options. I had the prime rib which was very good. And we both really enjoyed our mixed drinks. Servers were very friendly and welcoming, which was nice because it seemed to have a lot of locals who know the place well. Really good time I will return.
We had a good time ... 2 birthdays. Were disappointed that they no longer have Prime Rib for 2. Overall the food was good & they did compliment the 2 birthday people with free cheesecake. Hostess was extremely nice & helpful ... waitress left something to be desired ... she was OK. Bus Boy was awesome ... he was on it!
This used to be be a decent steakhouse
Now it's a sports bar
They would be better off getting samples from Costco
The steaks were sub par and tasted like cardboard with gristle
They screwed up the drinks, the salad was ok
But perhaps the wedge salad should have the root cut off.. The baked potatoes must have been from yesterday's dinner. The sautéed mushrooms were not sautéed. They were boiled in cheap wine.... All in all, yuck
We have enjoyed Bullys East's prime rib a lot in the past but this visit it was overly marbled with fat and arrived only warm, not hot.
The big change that causes me not to recommend this restaurant until it is solved is new lighting recently installed in the dining rooms. It is too bright for the type of venue and the bulbs appear to be clear glass LED bulbs which typically bear warnings on the packaging not to look directly at them. This is impossible because they are all over the room. I asked our server if the light over our table could be dimmed but she said due to issues caused by the recent electrical overhaul it could not be dimmed. Bully's East needs to get their electrician back in there to fix this situation. I unscrewed the bulb over our table but overly bright bulbs were still in our sight lines all over the room.
I have not been to Bully's East in years. I have the VIP card so I thought I would take my boyfriend out for a good steak. The food has always been very good. We got seated right away on a Friday night with a reservation. The service was great but the food not so good. We waited a long time for our food due to a large party which I understood. We both ordered Top Sirloin and they were both over cooked and very dry. I did complain and she brought me out a beautiful dinner of prime rib. The server did everything to make us happy.
Not sure if I would go back.
Great service & tasty food. Had ribeye & baby back ribs. Excellent macaroni & cheese, calamari & artichoke appetizer. Wouldn't get the creme brulee again. The consistency wasn't right & the top was too burnt. Overall it was a great evening & we will return!
very disappointed on this visit. wife ordered the $33 filet mignon and what was brought out was not a filet. this was brought to attention to server, but she did not check to confirm with chef but only said it was indeed a "flat filet mignon?". in my opinion, it was at best a sirloin steak. it was 3/4" tall and about 6-7" in width.
This is sort of a hybrid - sports bar mashed with an old time steak house. Food is average but we couldn't decide what to do for dinner one night but the hubs wanted meat so we decided to stop here. I've been here before it was on Open Table - it was mostly a clubby steak-house lounge kind of place. Nothing fancy or amazing but ok if you just wanted to get a steak and potatoes - no real wine list to speak of but strong gin and tonics.
Our server, Jeanee, was amazing. My husband and I went for a nice relaxing date night dinner. She picked up on this immediately like a mind reader and allowed us to take our time from course to course and enjoy a nice, slow-paced dining experience. The food was a little bland and under seasoned but it was still pretty delicious. And the menu/vibe was exactly what we've been looking for in our area.
Great ambiance here, the best service, good drinks, friendly people. I don't know how it gets much better than that. Bully's East has been around forever, and they make sure their menu never gets stale or boring - updates all the time. The best drinks and steaks, with yummy appetizers. Some long-ago favorite should really be brought back - the steak and chicken bites served on a silver-ish platter, flash fried (I think). Wish they had a good veggie burger for lunch or other vegetarian options - just 1 or 2 would be nice. Clam chowder here is superior with generous amount of clams.
As always, the food was great however when the host failed to greet us then we overheard she was having issues. IE She had left her post without approval, explained why she seemed so miserable. And, I am putting it nicely. Our server was great but again we overheard several conversations regarding the host.
