We were so disappointed in Bulldogs. We have eaten there before and always couldn’t wait to come back. We ate there early Sunday evening and they had no chicken or bbq ribs. We wound up with brisket and pulled pork but really were dying for ribs. Will not be going back there anytime soon. The waitress was very accommodating and tried her best to make us happy but our heart was set on ribs!
Great relaxed atmosphere, great service and fantastic
Food. The ribs were delicious
Good variety of barbeque items, burgers and sides. Waitress was very accommodating. Overall, a nice experience.
This is the second time that I have taken my group to this wonderful place. Daniella is an excellent server and she has not ever failed me with her excellence. I really have developed a love for the place and it looks like we will be back in January.
Beautiful place and hands on great service. Delicious food, convenient location. Good craft beer selection!
This place is excellent the food is awesome matched with excellent service.
Great food. Chicken was a little too overcooked but was still good.
Food was very good and ambiance was great. Good selection, large portions, tasty, and fun. Desserts were amazing. Also terrific to have our food brought out to our table by celebrity chef, the Bulldog himself!
The food and service were great, but the place was empty and a little dirty
Excellent barbecue. Tender meat, well prepared. Atmosphere is small and quiet.
FOOD WAS VERY GOOD BUT VERY PRICEY FOR WHAT YOU RECEIVE. PORTION SIZES ARE SMALL FOR THE PRICE.
We have been dining here for several years now and always great food and service!
My experience here was great, albeit a little skewed as I had 16 guests.
Service was quite good for a group of such size, however, we did have one menu item come out considerably late. They comped the meal and apologized, so I think they might have just been having a bit of trouble keeping up with 16 full orders. at a single table.
The food was perfect, and the burger I ordered was definitely what I expected, Juicy and Flavorful.
The Beer selection is small, but there were a couple decent brews worth going for such as the La Trappe Quad I had.
Overall Spectacular experience, would go again anytime!
The pulled chicken sandwich was 👍🏿 along with the house honey mustard and barbecue sauce. The ice tea-Wow. Ask for liquid house sweetener on the side. Had a hint of lemon. Awesome. You're in control. Burger was huge, fresh and delicious. A nice casual atmosphere. Shout out to our waitress Michelle. Very pleasant and accommodating!!
My birthday
The best ribs I have ever tasted. Always consistently good service and food.
The best smoked ribs we have ever tasted!
We have brought many friends here for ribs and they agree that these were as good, if not better than what we said they were.
We had a nice time and enjoyed a killer burger, a great hot dog and a very good old fashioned bbq chicken. The deserts were also really good; the s'mores and apple pie were really yamieee.... My son enjoyed very much his cookies and milk :) the little one loved his kiddy hot dog!
Our waiter was very nice and helpful. I can see this place as somewhere you take your friends or family any night to have a laid back all American diner.
I had burgers there few years ago and it wasn't bad at all!!!!
This time I went for the St-Louis ribs!!!! Disaster! Worst ribs I had in a long time....
Dry, tough, hard, overcooked, reheated,
Sides were ok!
Would not go back there even it would be free!!!!
It's hard to find good BBQ in Miami but Bulldog BBQ was just what we were looking for. Wings were great and the real winner was the BBQ brisket. The only just okay item was the burger which was good enough but nothing to cross town for.
Anyways, the place was fun, our waitress was great and the brisket was the best I've had outside of Texas.
We loved everything we got! Started with pigs in a blanket... amazing.
Husband said it may just be the best brisket he's ever had, I'm inclined to agree.
BBQ sauce was a tad on the sweeter side but there was a nice spice that came through after, which I personally love. They do have a mustard based sauce as well, you know, if you're into that sort of thing. And the mac n cheese was just good ol' southern mac n cheese. Can't go wrong with that!
Nothing to get excited about here folks. Disinterested servers, average food with higher prices and very small side dishes. Continue your search.
I know there are lots of great places but this place is great.
Great food, honest pricing and outstanding service.
Just not good! The ribs were rubbery, the food was not very good at all.Server was not trained very well at all
Great food! And Colada Porter on tap... Perfect.
Such great food here.I had the at Louis ribs with a side of Mac and cheese and it was excellent. The service was fast and the waitress was also awesome
We were a group of 7 and everyone was happy. That's not easy! From burgers to brisket everything was delicious!
Quality of the food has dropped since my last visit
The smoked turkey was swimming in liquid. it appeared as if it had been on a steam table, a fact denied by the manager. "We heat it in a broth" was his explanation. Unfortunately the Turkey must have stewed in the broth rather than steamed. The process deprived the meat of all of the smoked flavor. Use of the barbecue sauces did not help.
Barbeque sauces are vinegar based, not the spicy or sweet usually found in South Florida BBQ restaurants.
My dining partner looked for baby back ribs but settled on an acceptable hamburger.
Not planning on returning anytime soon.
Bulldog BBQ is a solid option in an otherwise fair-to-poor 'cue scene in southeastern Florida. Good job at working in modern techniques and trends into the fare, which gives it a sense of authenticity, homemade-ness and quality. A little disappointed that we didn't try the pulled pork.
Out of 5:
Ribs: 4
Chicken: 4.25
Brisket: 3 - no discernible smoke ring; properly cut; lacked flavor and authenticity; looked like it had been smoked, chilled and reheated
Lemonade: 5
Mac & Cheese: 4 - good; more cheesiness - portion size with the 3&2 for 2 was tiny.
Burnt-end beans: 4 - can't complain... didn't see any burnt ends though.
Coleslaw: 3
Cornbread: 4
They need a wider variety of sauces. Especially something hot that isn't Sriracha...
We love the pulled pork and brisket. Their crispy pigs in a blanket are dairy free and my daughter loves them.
Atmosphere and service was great - however ribs were totally overcooked and were very tough - probaley had been sitting in the bain marie after cooking -sauce that came with the ribs was very good. My father in law thought he was going to lose his false teeth! It is a pity as he is from Germany and specifically picked the Restaurant for the ribs which were anything but falling off the bone. There was a great selection of draft beer and our waitress was smart, switched on and personable. There was also a bus boy
from Jamaica who was also very entertaining.
Great barbecue and very good service. Not
much atmosphere. Different beer selections.
I discovered this resto on open table and it's definitely worth a try. Everything we ordered was tasty and good (hamburger, brisket, veggie burger etc...). It's a very casual place which is great for kids and large groups. It doesn't have much ambiance but we weren't going for that so it didn't make a difference. Service was good - the waiter went out of his way to make sure everyone was happy. I recommend it and would return!
great bar b q , got the hamburger with pulled pork on it and loved it. Others at table got the bar b q brisket and it was so much that they ended up taking it home. Great beer selection as well to go with it.
We ordered various dishes and every single one was spectacular in taste.
Hotdog
Their Famous Burger
Burger lettuce wraps
Every dish was properly prepared; our server was kind and attentive; even other waiters came by to check on us and comment on the heat game we were watching.
Everything good you've heard is confirmed...check them out!
The brisket was delicious and juicy. The seasoning was perfect. Also the BBQ sauce paired so good with the beef. It was very good.
After driving 19 hours from NJ , we checked into our hotel , rested a bit then started thinking about dinner. Last time we were in the area we picked up food from bulldog based on the fact it was Top Chef affiliated. Chef Howie didn't disappoint then or now.
Loved the creamy Mac and cheese and the pulled pork , both on my sampler platter. BBQ chicken pieces not as large as I expected, but still tasty and moist. S'mores pie for dessert was too sweet for one person in one sitting so I took half home. Looking forward to returning the next time we are in the north Miami area.
The photo of the place does not fit how it looks like. This place is a very simple restaurant with a very cold atmosphere. The ribs were dry and it felt like everything we ate were old and re-prepared. We were five people and I took my family there after hearing about it on Public Radio. Four of us got stomach issues afterwards. So no.... I can not recommend this place.
