Bull & Bear Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
It was amazing as always. We have been coming to Bull & Bear for an anniversary dinner every year for the last 3 years. They always seat us at the table in the coner so we can watch the fireworks from Disney during dinner. The service is always amazing. The food is always beyond amazing. I’ve been to many many restaurants and this is in my top 3 favorites of all time.
Pricey but outstanding. I will say that the table side Ceasar is the best Ceasar I have ever eaten. The special of the night was a bone in ribeye which was cooked perfectly medium rare. We started with a seafood tower which was very good and had their equivalent of French fries as a side (amazing). Expect close to 100 per person with beer and/or wine. Service was excellent. How we their broilers broke early in the evening and they called to let us know. We decided to keep our reservation and to our delight the boilers were back up when we arrived. That is the only reason Service was given 4 stars.
We enjoyed another amazing meal at one of our favourite dining spots while in Orlando. The service is always exceptional. From the moment we walked in my husband felt celebrated (we were celebrating his birthday). We both thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails and I highly recommend the Mary Pickford. The fried chicken is to die for and should not be missed when visiting The Bull and Bear. The presentation of our desserts were outstanding topping off a perfect meal.
Having been to most of Orlando's upscale steakhouses, was looking for somewhere new to celebrate my out of town family's birthday and anniversary and decided to try Bull and Bear. I could not have been happier. Service was attentive without being too attentive. The food was outstanding. We started with a amuse-bouche of Waygu beef, then enjoyed the chateaubriand and filet. The desserts were equally delicious -- the beignets with three sauces and the crème brulee. The ambiance of this special occasion restaurant does not disappoint.
Amazing place to celebrate our 35th Anniversary. Everything was fabulous. Incredible steaks, lobster bisque, tableside ceasar, and lemon dessert. Great wines by the glass to create interesting pairings. Service was fabulous. But the highlight was the bar! Tiny but Justin and Justin produce thee most incredible cocktails. Bourbon and rye selection, coupled with their knowledge is worth the trip alone. Went back a second night just to eat at the bar and sip delicious offerings.
Have eaten at this restaurant several times over the years, it has become one of our favourites anywhere in the world. However , this time the food fell well short of the mark. It was over $500 for a meal for 2 adults 2 kids - not unexpected as we’d been many times before but still pretty pricey by anyone’s standards for what we ate. Between us we had no starters, 4 mains, a couple of sides and only 1 desert, no coffee, 1 aperitif and 1 bottle of moderately priced wine ($70 ish) In the past, I’d have said it was expensive but absolutely worth it, the steak being some of the best I have ever eaten (tomahawk used to be amazing that’s for sure) but this time the meat was partly tough and stringy (we shared a porterhouse for 2) but soft and pappy for the filet part of that. The veg were massively salty - the bull and bear special fries were so salty none of us could eat them so they went to waste. There is no doubt the intentions are good here and the waiting staff are excellent, but the previous levels of food excellence we’re just nowhere to be seen this time sadly. We had another reservation for a return on the 30th of this month, but I have cancelled this as I just don’t think it will be the amazing experience it used to be/should be or worth the investment. Sorry Bull and Bear.
Fabulous experiences at the Bull and Bear while staying at the Waldorf! We actually ate in the restaurant all 3 nights at the hotel and enjoyed each experience. Our first night was in the dining room where service and food was on point. From the Delmonico to the Veal Oscar, from the foie gras to the creme brulee, everything was wonderful. The second two nights were spent as walk-ins in the bar area where we dined and developed a rapport with the bartenders. The "J" men of the bar team are excellent and worth hanging out with if you want to gain knowledge in the craft cocktail world. I even received a cocktail lesson on my favorite. Can't wait to return!
This is not the first time I have eaten here, and again, it will definitely not be the last. We were treated impeccably by the staff, one of whom remembered not only us, but where we sat the previous time! It's that attention to detail that marks it out for me. They were not quite ready for us in the restaurant so we went for a drink in the bar - I had a Peacock Egg cocktail - pricey but beautifully presented and one of the nicest cocktails I have had. We had the Caesar Salad, prepared table side for us, the waiter preparing it knew all the ingredients and explained everything he was doing, he was very knowledgeable and the dressing he prepared from scratch was fabulous. I had Wagyu sirloin - they said it would taste like it had been stuffed with butter, and it did. There was no seasoning on it, but it tasted amazing. For dessert I had Le Citron, which was a whole Meyer lemon, boiled in syrup for hours, the insides are scooped out and mixed with chantilly cream and lemon sorbet and replaced back into the shell. They slice this at the table for you and you eat the whole lot, skin and all. It is so good, it's untrue. My friend had La Cerise - beautifully presented again and a delicious dessert. The staff are friendly but not overbearing or fussy, they know everything about the food - we were recommended to try the chicken next time and nothing is too much trouble for them. It's not an everyday eating experience for us, but it was worth every penny as a special occasion.
We have lost count now how many times we have been to this amazing restaurant.
It really is amazing, the best in Orlando and probably the best in all our experiences across the USA ...and we have been to a few ...yes we rate it that highly.
The food as you would expect is out of this world and yet again the service was just impeccable.
Yes it's top end of everybody's budget, but you get what you pay for and I urge you to just go and experience it on your next special occasion or date night.
Sadly, we won't be bale to get back for a while, but the next time I'm in Orlando, it's where I'm heading.
Thank you to all our wonderful servers.
Dining was AMAZING!! Our server Marshall was the best we've ever seen at any restaurant!! Their the bull & bear & mule drink was different was delicious !! The tuna appetizer wasn't my favorite but my veal steak truly was sooooooo goood !!! My hubby loved the fried chicken !! And our creme brulee flambé was good !! The lemon was a little too strong for us !! But other than that the place was what we could call perfection !!!
This has redefined my understanding of an excellent dining experience. The service and food were both incredible. You will want for nothing as an entire team is dedicated to your table, each with their own role. The food is melt-in-your-mouth amazing and the ambiance is fantastic.
Superlative! Gustavo, the waiter captain orchestrated every detail of our dining experience to perfection. Javier prepared a magnificent Caeser salad table-side that was true to Cardini's original recipe with a perfection of tossed fresh ingredients. Che was observant and attentive to our every need. I highly recommend the Chateaubriand for two.
Wonderful staff with unbelievable food, cocktails and desserts!!
Never felt rushed; Everything made tableside is a joy to watch and superb to eat!!
I had a cocktail with floating pansy blossoms;
Unique, charming and delicious!
You will not find a better staff anywhere!!
Worth the prices they charge and will go again and again anytime I am in Orlando!!
Thanks for a fantastic culinary experience!!!
While my Spouse and I enjoyed the location, as well as the ambience (romantic setting), the food leaves a lot to be desired. The salmon was underdone and the fried chicken, except for the breading (skin portion), it was not flavorful at all. I am comparing this location with the other locations we visited during our Disney vacation; the Four Seasons and Shula's. It does not compare with either of the mentioned restaurants.
The only pleasure was, the Captain, Ashley, who was amazing with her attention. My Spouse and I expected much better service of the Waldorf Astoria. For instance, one example; the wine glasses took an extreme amount of time to refill. It may be a little thing, but those little things are the things that count.
Not the great experience we look forward to when dinning.
Drinks were slow. I should've sent the chateaubriand back it was over for a medium- the guys face when he carved told me the same. They did do a half lamb portion for my 6 year old tho. Nice place, good service. Bit underwhelmed by a dry and over cooked steak.
Amazing meal and service! We went for my birthday and there was a birthday card waiting for me at the table as well as my dessert on the house. The best part to me was how they treated my four and a half year old daughter... sometimes these places don't like kids but they treated her the same as my husband and I and that makes this mommy happy! My husband and I had the tomahawk for two...OMG is all I can say! Highly recommend for a special occasion.
