The word 'Bulerías' is rooted in the country of Spain and is most commonly used to reference a fast rhythmic form of the Art of Flamenco Dancing. The Bulerías is tradtionally the finale to a flamenco performance. As a flamenco performer, performing the Bulerías, AND as a spectator, watching the Bulerías being performed - whether performing or watching - The Bulerías, will demand of you a fun, energetic, passionate, happy experience. Great food and friendly service. I recommend the papas bravas, the chorizo and the gambas al ajillo. Good wine selection, the only issue is the temperature of the red wine bottles (54°F) as I like mine room temperature (around 70°F).

This was our second time there. It was a less than optimal experience for us. When we got there, there was only one server (other than the bar tender who didn't ask us a thing) who was scrambling around. We waited for a bit before he came over. Then seemed so frazzled and confused. Wasn't the most 'warm welcome'-ing experience. After we sat down, it was quite a while before he brought menus over. Then more of a wait to ask for drinks. The food was not bad...portion sizes rather small but that is tapas for you...so that's fine. All through the evening, the HVAC kept blowing on and off loudly. Also, there was a Flamenco dance performance on in the basement. Super loud banging is all we could hear. Not a peaceful experience at all. All in all, I would say, it was okay....we won't be going back there again most probably (but never say never , I suppose ;-) !)

The steak options were delicious, but stay away from the salmon and the calamari. The calamari was extremely chewy and what is advertised as great salmon pieces is the smoked salmon from the deli packages.

Great menu, great food, great service. Atmosphere is a somewhat lacking but the food makes up for it.

The service was highly lacking (it took over 30 minutes to get the bill) and the portions aren't enough for two people to split.

Great tapas experience overall. Sangria is customizable with extra shots of brandy, etc. And the food choices had tapas classics but with many unique items to choose from as well. We also found it to have a very respectable amount of vegetarian options as well. Food and drinks were both outstanding and the service was very prompt.

For the price, there are better places out there. Friendly tip: they don’t honor happy hour specials (4pm-6pm) if you have an open table reservation.

I enjoyed Bulerias. But living on the south side, I have options closer to home that are just as good. But If you're in the area, give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
