   My partner&I went last weekend. The service was poor. The manager apologised that they were short staffed afterwards but the basics were missing. Our waitress wasn't familiar with the menu which made ordering painful. Our drinks (a bottle of water) took 20 minutes to come. No recommendations on the menu. The restaurant had 4 tables of customers with no more than 3 at a table. For a Saturday night it was quiet&lacked atmosphere. The sushi was very good however the dim sum was awful. My har gau was chewy from where it had been reheated for too long, the noodles drenched in oil&the spring rolls cooked in.old oil. The bill was extortionate. For the money I'd recommend heading to a top sushi restaurant in central London. We won't be returning.

   The food at Bukushi exceeded my expectations. It was beautifully presented and really fresh. Wine was also good and well priced.

   It is a nice little find with a very attentive host/owner. Good variety of Japanese and Asian menu and all the dishes tasted great. The Sake is particularly good too! It can be a good place for a romantic meal or a group booking, We went for my daughters birthday in the middle of the week and it was quite full with various diners.

   Bukushi was unusually busy on this visit and the staff were having to pull out all the stops - which they did. Our server - who was also managing this was evening / was warm and friendly - and calm and efficient. The meal wa, as always, excellent and, if you make use of the Toptable offers, surprisingly good value.

   The service was good but the food was really bad would not being going there again. It's a shame I was looking forward to going there because it looked different. We couldn't even eat the food really disappointing.

   We were told, a little pointedly, on arrival that we were early (a whole 5 minutes, though this was later revealed to have neen a misunderstanding!), and - given that the place was completely empty - this did not make us feel particularly welcome. The waiter was quick to offer advice, but rather slower to realise it was unwelcome (you don't tell people they "should" try something, if they've made it clear they don't want to). However, the food was very good; the sushi very fresh and the salt beef tender (if a little too salty). Service was prompt and efficient.

    When we turned up it was empty on a Thursday evening, but glad to say that it got busier. Relaxed atmosphere with an interesting menu combination. Relaxing and not too formal.
