Bugatti's Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
My husband's meal is was fine. I decided to add salmon to my salad. This turned out to be a mistake. First of all the salad itself was missing ingredients that had been listed. Then the salmon was not cooked through. Cut it into large sections to expose that fact and sent it back. When it came back it was still not cooked. Server took it again. This time it came back dry and crusty and did not look appealing at all. Only a passing apology was ever given. Now I would have hoped that a good customer service move would have been not to charge me for my meal. Nope. $11 for the salad and additional $12 for the salmon. I did not ask for the owner or manager. After the already several trips to our table I probably would have made a scene. And again I should not have had to do that. It is not about the money it is about the whole experience and how it was (mis)handled. It will be a while before we go back to this restaurant -- and I will not be getting salmon again.
consistently great food. Service was a bit off due to the wait staff being short-handed due to one of the waiters calling in ill. The team did a nice job filling in, but not the same experience as having a dedicated waiter. We sat in the patio and found the noise level to be minimal, which was great, since we were celebrating our anniversary. All in all a very good meal - one that definitely keeps you coming back!
Our dinner, as always, was excellent. I had the crab linguine and my husband had the shrimp capellini, they were both excellent. The only drawback was they are having an issue with fruit flies, we were getting buzzed all night. This was the first time we ever experienced this at this restaurant. We love this restaurant and go there pretty regularly.
We like Bugatti's a lot and go there often. On this particular occasion I ordered halibut which was one of their specials. I was disappointed because it was very dry. Service was great and this was the first time I was disappointed in my meal.
Food is consistently good, but nothing overly special. The pasta dish was described as having shaved parmesan on top- it didn't and we had to ask for parmesan, which was grated and served with an ice tea spoon. Had to ask the waitress to refill our wine glasses when needed- friendly but mediocre service overall.
Great ambiance but it gets very loud, even on a Sunday evening. Always a good place to gather, though.
We've been to Bugatti's many times and always enjoy our meals. A share appetizer of bruschetta was tasty. Mains of spaghetti bolognese with meatballls, chicken piccatta, and others were all very good. Only a small quibble was the underripe pear served on a salad; however when we noted it they were most apologetic - but even more important they removed the pear from future salads (we overhead the waiter telling new customers that they were no longer adding it that evening. To me, that's the sign of a good restaurant - one that listens to its customers. My favorite cannolli for dessert.
We go often and normally we are upset that we can't give higher than 5 stars, but tonight things were off. Service was not its usual outstanding, maybe average. The food is always outstanding but potatoes were overly salty, and the beat salad had way to much vinegar. We will be back but hoping this is a one time deal, and not a new norm!
This is a very good restaurant that I can always count on, The happy hour is the best in town. I love the menu which features entrees as well as pasta dishes. There is always seafood selections that are savory and delicious.
Once again, Bugatti's never disappoints. The service is always an A, but this time gotta go with an A+! The fresh seafood in the various pastas were perfect. The pre-dinner Beet salads were a nice compliment of various fresh cut varieties from local farms. Thank you for a nice special evening.
Had the chicken picatta this time. Not as flavorful as I expected. It was fine but pretty bland. I had filet mignon before there and it was very good. The food was better than most restaurants I've been to.
The service this time was not as good as before when I've been there.
We have been faithful Bugatti's customers for the last 20 years. Unfortunately our last experience will definitely prevent us from returning anytime soon! We were a party of six on a Friday evening. A party of five was seated shortly after us. We noted only two wait staff for the entire area, and unfortunately ours was not attentive. It took us 35 minutes just to have our order taken!! Unbelievable! In that same amount of time, the party of five seated after us (with a different waiter), not only had their food, but were almost done eating! I am sorry if Bugatti's is short staffed, but the customer should not have to wait in that manner. We were very patient, but the dinner was painfully long... Our waitress never even returned for a quality check after all that wait! It should be noted that she did so for all the tables surrounding us though. Unfortunately we won't be returning to our one of favorite restaurants any time soon .... so sad..... the food was fine.... also not able to fill an espresso order either. Service was the biggest issue though!
It's been years since I dined here, and it was a great experience. We dined alfresco and loved sitting in the welcoming courtyard, as it was a beautiful evening. The salad was nicely garlicky and crisp, the seafood chowder superb, and the chicken picatta and lasagna were above average. The mango sorbet seemed a bit bland, however. Great wine and beverage selection.
We were a party of 7 and we had our own private alcove. It is always pleasant. Good Service. Food is always dependable. Salads are fresh and my husband and I always share a small salad. Food is plentiful. I had the saffron pasta with fresh crabmeat. It was great. We have often gotten the funghi which they now call alfredo (this dish always had alfredo sauce.) Some of our party got the pasta Bolognese and enjoyed it. Pasta is always cooked well. It's a two block walk from our house. We have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years so I guess we like it! Make reservations. There is outside seating as well, btw.
Bugatti's is a good all around Italian restaurant. The drinks are expensive but the basic food isn't priced too high. Service is ok, too many tables per server at peak time. Manager and owner extremely nice and social. We were there celebrating a 21st birthday and he overheard and treated her to a drink. They have a very nice small outside patio, a definite with the nice weather. Overall a nice place to eat. Would recommend it. Be cautious though their parking lot is only for three cars so you will have to park in an adjacent building.
Our favorite go to place no more. New owner/management has taken a gem and spoiled it all. Service no longer acceptable as they seemingly forget to check in. We hate to go to dinner and have to beg for service. For still acceptable but the yummy bread dip is gone forever, a cost savings!
We go here for the excellent food. LOVE the Cesar salad dressing , specials and best Tiramisu we've EVER had. Anywhere in the world.
Trade-offs: No view. No ambiance. Lots of older people there.
I wish the owners would take over Stickmans on Oswego Lake. Then they'd have great view + excellent food + service.
Not nearly as good as it used to be . They have changed the menu and several favorites are no longer available . The bread now comes with olive oil and balsamic instead of the great olive oil garlic . The food was just ok. It used to always be great and so disappointed as this had always been one of our favorite go to restaurants. Our waitress was great however!.
