Buffalo Mercantile Company and Cafe
We made a reservation on a Wednesday evening in February but it wasn't necessary. Staff said on weekends, especially in the summer reservations are recommended. Loved the pizza!
Enjoyed a quiet supper here with my husband. Yes, it is out of the way but the ladies running Buffalo Mercantile were very nice. We had the Margherita pizza— it was a little juicy with the canned tomatoes (perhaps drain them). Great flavor. We will come back with our kids one afternoon and get food to go to take to the nearby park.
Dined at this restaurant because we saw it on facebook. The pizza was delicious.
the Pizza was great
the live music was unexpected
the location was easy to find
Enjoyable. Food was delicious made with all fresh veggies. Fun to browse store after ordering.
Incredibly great pizza and excellent value for the money. Definitely going back!
Love this place...differently make a reservation. Only 6 tables for seating. maybe more in summer with out door seating. Pizza was awesome. Going back to try a sandwich.
This was a huge disappointment. After reading so many great reviews, I decided to give it a try. I cannot understand how this place got such good reviews because in my opinion it certainly doesn't deserve them.
The food is amazing and we love the location. It was seat yourself, so I'm not sure the reservation mattered. The wait staff and kitchen staff seem overwhelmed and frustrated, perhaps they were under staffed. The service left a lot to be desired, but we will give it another try.
We hadn't been here since April, but it was still good! My husband had a pizza and I had the cheeseburger. Both were great! I highly recommend for a reasonable meal!
Had a good dinner with family! Enjoyed the simple freshness.
Good food! Small restaurant that has a cozy feel. The night we went they had live music local to the area! If you are ever in the area, you should stop in!
The pizza was incredible ! Comparable to New York pizza !
Great seasoned taste . We arrived right a fleet of motorcycles
arrived , and we had to wait quite awhile for our food. Let
me just say it was worth waiting for!
This was my first time dining at Buffalo Mercantile and it was an overall positive experience. It was a lovely day to take a scenic drive out to Buffalo Cove (about 15 min from Lenoir). The weather was nice, so we sat outside and enjoyed the pleasant view of meadows nestled amongst the foothills. There is even a creek meandering past the dining deck. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ordered a pizza and burgers. The wait for our food was a little long, but that was OK because we were just talking and enjoying the atmosphere. I found the food to be good but nothing special, although I had read many glowing reviews about it. The cost of the burgers and sandwiches is very reasonable, but the pizza can get a little pricey. Quite a lot of menu choices for such a small cafe. And there is a wonderful old-timey country store next to the restaurant with everything from fishing lures to fine chocolates. Overall a nice dining experience that I would recommend.
