Bud's at Silver Run
Great food and fun atmosphere
We had some hiccups with an appetizer and an entree, but the staff was super attentive and corrected the issues as quickly as possible.
Elk chop and veal chop were superb!
Nice wine list and good beer list too.
Staff and owners were amazing. Owners talked with us, and the other diners too, for at least 10 minutes. Not the "we hope you come back" talk, but real conversation and interest in us as people not just customers. Really enjoyed and respected this - this is the first time this has happened in a LONG time from any restaurant.
Excellent steak done perfectly. Wait staff was top notch. We need to go there more frequently.
Great food, great service. That’s all I ask for and they delivered. We will be returning.
Really the food tasted very good, and was plated with care..just wasnt enough of it for the money. I dont mind spending- but when i do i better get a decent portion- 90 bucks later 2 people should dinner table satisfied in my opinion. The management was attentive, though waitress- though nice seemed a lil over stretched? The high rent ambiance really didnt add anything extra for this average joe. A bit fancier than our usual spots- Bud's is a nice, small cozy, dinner date kind of place. Guess Its just not my kinda place.
Wonderful service and food
My wife and I met another couple, good friends, and had a very enjoyable meal at Bud's. My wife and I each had the elk chop, which was delicious and not at all gamy, as venison can be. Our friends had rockfish and salmon and enjoyed their meals, too. We all agreed Bud's would be a great place for us to meet up again.
The filet was cooked to perfection and the potatoes with blue cheese , a delicious addition. The portions were generous but not overwhelming.
The food is reliably good every time, with a staff that is well trained.
The food was excellent! We have never had anything that we haven't enjoyed.
The restaurant was not busy that evening. The server provided good table service but she made several comments regarding the slow reservations that evening. On football Friday, when school has just begun, that's not uncommon. The server didn't use good judgment when sharing her thoughts, which I believe is due to inexperience. She needs to focus on being a server, not trying to be a confidant with the restaurant's clientele.
It will not stop me from coming back to Bud's- the owners are friendly, the environment is relaxed, and the food is always excellent.
It is a lovely restaurant. Food is always well prepared and good. Dining room is very nice.
Very few diners when we have gone, but hopefully it still does a good enough business to continue another 10 years.
Our server, Brittany, was wonderful. The Chicken dish delicious. And the Cream of crab soup sooooo yummy! Will be back!
We went for a birthday lunch for my Aunt, and everything was wonderful!! Thank you!!
The crab risotto w scallops and shrimp appetizer was awesome. Cream of crab soup was acceptable. Service given only 3 stars because we were only ones in dining room but took about 2 hours from start to finish. I think next time would have said we only have so much time to be there so the staff would have been more attentive. Definitely will return.
The food was excellent!!!!! The service outstanding. The perfect location for a visit with others. We have never been disappointed at Bud’s.
I thought the gift certificate I had for $200 for two people would have been more food than we got. The food was great but for $100 per person, there should have been more quantity. And we should have been able to pick our food rather than just it being given to us. My guest did not eat 80% of the food we were given because she didn't like many of the servings.
The parking lot is terrible...especially during a rain storm!
Very nice atmosphere. I loved how quiet and quaint your restaurant is. Food is reasonable priced and very tasty. Linen tablecloths and candles were very inviting to relax and have a nice QUIT dinner where as so many restaurants you have to scream to each other to talk. I'll be back
The only negative and this more had to do with the day of the reservation, Sunday. Many of the menu items they were out of. I had to go through 3 entrees before I was able to get one that was available. Service was very slow, I think that had to do to limited cooking staff as the waitress came several times to fill drinks but the actual appetizers were slow to come out as well as the entrees. Food, however, was delicious. We were a party of six.
This was a gem of a find for dinner. The food was stellar, and it was only a short drive from our b&b in Taneytown. Crab crostini for appetizer, rockfish Chesapeake for my wife's dinner, and elk chop for me had off the charts flavor in a perfect portion and at a reasonable price. You wouldn't know from the unassuming building exterior, though.
Excellent and very delicious salads, crab cakes, and steak, and steaks. The service was as good as it could be, but our server had a lot of tables to cover so it made service just slightly less attentive than we like. We did like our server and she was very helpful when she came by. There was a large party of 18-20 at the same time, so that may have absorbed some of the server's effort.
Three out of our group of five were there for the first time and said they will return.
Ken's crabcakes and Brooks' cream of crab soup were awesome!
Wait staff knowledgeable of menu and very courteous and efficient.
I look forward to visiting again soon!!
Fantastic ambiance, service and menu selection. The food was delicious and portions were ample. Five star restaurant - very close to home!
Bud's never disappoints. Will definitely be returning.
Everything our party ordered was good. Enjoyed the food. Waitress was attentive.
Would definitely return.
Wonderful dinner with friends. Food is consistently good and they made an excellent martini.
Always consistent. Clever but also delicious food. Easy environment to dine in and enjoy oneself.
We’ve been to Bud’s about four times, the food is well prepared . A great restraint .
Bud's is my favorite place to dine! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Start out with crab soup, cream or Maryland, Crab Crostini...then burgers, Rockfish....it's all delicious. And the coctails....the best! My favorite is the 4-3-2-1 Cosmo!
Chef Ken always has something unique going on. The mussels this time....
We had a wonderful Mother's Day lunch at Bud's at Silver Run. The crab cakes are some of the best around. Every time we have been here the food has been delicious and consistently good.
An excellent dinner as usual. Ken, chef and owner, and his staff are attentive and bend over backwards to make sure the meal and evening are enjoyable. He always comes out from the kitchen to greet his customers. The portions are generous and just right so you don't feel overfed afterwards. We always enjoy my meals at Bud's.
What a hidden Gem!! when you pull up to this non-discript former house, there is no indication of the fabulous treat you are about to discover. The inside is absolutely charming. the wait staff personable, friendly and attentive. And the food, oh the food! Our friend had the steak and said it was great; we had the Crab crostini, crab cake dinner, Salmon dinner and rock fish...all were perfect! We are from just over the border in PA but have already been back and plan to make this our go-to restaurant from now on.
Tried a new place for my birthday! Service was great, food was good, but not excellent. 2 of the meals came out hot, but the 3rd was cooling. It was a steak and mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes cooled are gummy. Bread was good, but should be included with the meal, not pay extra. Thought the wine glass for my birthday was extra special
We had a lovely time at Bud's at Silver Run. The food is always excellent, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and the owner and his employees are always helpful with suggestions on drinks and dinner.
An overall wonderful experience!
We have been to Bud's many times and it is consistently terrific. It's our favorite restaurant in Maryland, as a perfect blend of great food, service, and ambiance. The menu offers a wide range of dishes from exotic to old standbys and light to heavy duty, all prepared perfectly. It's to only place we've ever been that asks how you would like your salmon cooked (medium rare for us). They are very sensitive to any special customer needs, from handicaps to allergies. Bud's is a unique and very special restaurant.
It was great as always wouldn't go any where else, food was good and the beer cold great evening with my wife
Excellent value. We hadn't been there in years and I don't really know why. Excellent menu, especially the Just Right plates. We will definitely put this back on our restaurant rotation.
We love Bud's the crab cakes are the best I have ever had. Service is friendly and attentive. Owner always comes by to check on each table.
