The service was excellent, some of the best I've had in the area. The food was good. Better than what I expected given how far out of the way it is.

Our recent dinner at Bud's was delicious. I had the rockfish Chesapeake and my husband had the veal chop and both were perfectly cooked, as always. The new menu offers a variety of entrees, some smaller plates and more appetizers. Everything was great and Ken is always there to come say hello. It remains our favorite place for dining on any occasion. Carroll County is so lucky to have this gem! Marilyn
Bud’s at Silver Run should be considered a Carroll County treasure. The food range from pub food to fine dining fits the needs of any diner.
Although not enough can be said about the owner, if you would like to enjoy the full dining experience, make sure to ask for Fahreyn to be your waitress.
Ken’s cooking and Fahreyn’s waitressing skills will provide you five star dining every time.
We had gone as a birthday celebration and Ken the owner presented us with fabulous food and was very attentive to our enjoyment of the evening.
We have dined at Bud's for several years, and what we liked about the experience in the past was the fact we never felt rushed, typically we were not even handed a menu till long after our drink order was taken. It was a refreshing change to all other restaurants which just try to move you through the process as quickly as possible, perhaps this was an isolated incident. It just felt rushed this time, the service and food were great though.

The atmosphere and friendly service is great. While the food was good, it was not special. Wine and drinks were limited but good selections overall. Desert was exceptional.
I do recommend this restaurant if you have never been before and for something different. Others may find something special during their experience.
Bud’s was a great find. I wish it was a little closer, but the food, service and atmosphere is worth the drive for us. Can’t wait til we can go back.
Had a great time and was able to talk to my date without it being loud. The Food was great! I'd really recommend the sausage and grits also the duck and the salmon was great too. Haven't been to the bar side yet but I've heard their bartenders are quite exceptional and can make anything you can think of.
Ken & staff do a fantastic job from beginning to end. The food is excellent and the wine list superb.

I was a little disappointed with the atmosphere at Bud’s. It was our first time here and we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The tables were a bit close and there was no music, making it a bit awkward. The atmosphere was definitely lacking. That being said, the food was good. Maybe we’ll try the bar if we go back again.
Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed our meal which was prepared to perfection with interesting flair and just right proportions. The menu included something for everyone’s taste. Ambiance was perfect for a quiet dinner. Desserts were ordinary but certainly satisfying.
Chef Ken always has a unique take on what might otherwise be an ordinary meal. Well done!
I visited at Bud's at Silver Run with a friend of mine and we sat bar side.
The atmosphere is welcoming and fun -- several suggestions of drinks and appetizers were made by our waitress. The potato and leek soup sounded delicious -- one of my favorites.
My friend chose the blackened tuna salad and I chose the surf and turf burger. My friend mentioned that her meal came out to perfection - the tuna was cooked exactly to her liking.
My surf and turf burger was delicious - I added goat cheese which was the extra taste that I like.
The owner stopped by and chatted with us and gave us the highlights of the menu and also told us a bit about the restaurant.
Bud's at Silver Run has quickly become one of my favorite stops for a great meal. I will certainly return again in the near future.

Food was good but the kitchen extremely slow. Not an extremely busy night and plenty of wait staff. This was disappointing
Buds continues to be one of the best casual Dining experiences in Carroll County. Ken is a creative chef and great host. Their new menu merges their bar menu with the dining menu and now offers a number of smaller plates and less entrees. We tried the Elk chop in a blueberry gastrique that paired nicely with the wild rice mushroom kale side. Cooked to perfection. Would definitely get this again.
Great menu with more couples meal options, small plate options, great appetizers and a sandwich and burger selection along with great salads. Comfortable environment and well trained staff. True feel of a family owned restaurant. Not a huge wine menu but nice selection in all price ranges. Food delicious and locally grown.

This was our second trip to Bud's, and we found it just as enjoyable as the first time. Everyone enjoyed the cream of crab soup, and one of us had the wild mushroom au gratin. Very tasty. Victoria was an excellent server.
Excellent food. We have mixed reviews on the new menu which lists sandwiches and dinner entrees. The women in the group liked the smaller portion option.
Had the half and half crab soup, best ever!! We had crab cakes and steak, all was absolutely delicious!! The waitress was very attentive as well. Will definitely be back!!
Another wonderful meal at this gem of a restaurant. Loved that the chef came out and spoke with us.
Food was outstanding and the server was excellent. It did take us over an hour to get our first course, and over 2 hours for the whole experience. We had an engagement after dinner that made this timeframe stressful, so next time we’ll allow plenty of time.
This was my wife and I first time here. Quiet restaurant that used to be a house but was very beautifully designed. Staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Definitely coming back

The outside looks are deceiving. Inside is elegant dining with a great atmosphere. Food was top notch and some of the best I have had in this area of not the best. Grits were amazing. Stuffed Rockfish was Devine. This is a hole in the wall local eatery that should not be missed.

We enjoy everything about Bud's, especially the food. Superior food and service, plus, Bud's is warm, comfortable and inviting.
A real surprise out in the country. Lovely atmosphere. Great staff. Worth the travel to get to it. Food is creative and excellent.
The appetizers were better prepared than the main course, The crab crostini were perfect, and especially the Risotto with shrimp, which was delicious. My entree, the Chicken Chesapeake, had good crabmeat, but the chicken was uninspiring and a little dry. The fingerling potatoes also were a little dry. I shared a strawberries and Grand Marnier dessert that was very good, with fresh local strawberries. I’m sitting on the fence and am not certain I’ll be back soon.
