Buddy V's at The Venetian Ratings and Reviews
This is our go to place with family and friends in Las Vegas. It never disappoints!
The service is always on point, food is great and cannot leave without having buddy’s desserts.
However. I only gave them a rate of 2 for ambiance because we were unfortunately seated next to a group of people who cursed every other word and we’re not being considerate to the fact that there were children and other people around them.
My husband and I enjoyed dinner at Buddy V's on a Saturday evening. Our table at first was next to the kitchen but we had the hostess move us to a better table with a view to outside. This was a much better table - the food was good, portions not too big- great pizza (appetizer) and delicious Nutella cake for dessert.
We were a party of 9 celebrating my mother's 60th birthday. Our table was ready right on time at 4:30pm. There was a lady who got our drink orders. After that it was a while until we got our drinks and for someone to come take our order. A man finally came to take our order. I wanted the salmon, but it was farmed. Ordered calamari and the chicken blt. All the food we ordered was very good. Our waiter unfortunately was not what I was expecting. Would not check in if we needed refills or anything. Had to ask for everything, nothing was offered. I'm used to waiters being attentive and offered more water, a box, or desert! We would have to ask the host or bus boy or literally wave down the waiter to order desert. You can't go to buddy V's without trying the cannoli's! Which were delicious! But he was very attentive to his other tables. Very upsetting. I would eat here again, but if I get a horrible waiter again won't be going back. They are supposed to make your experience enjoyable and want to go back.
We walked in to Buddy V’s a few minutes before our reservation and were seated towards the back of the restaurant. It wasn’t very busy at the time. Our server was awful. He was very cocky and was pressuring us to rack up our bill. I asked for the red blend wine, he told me that wine wasn’t good and gave me a more expensive wine. Throughout dinner he kept asking if we wanted more drinks, even though we had told him no several times before. As for the food, it was mediocre. I was disappointed as I had heard nothing but good things about the lasagna. However when it arrived at our table it was lukewarm, and didn’t have much flavor. My fiancé’s chicken parm. Was also mediocre. Overall we left Buddy V’s disappointed. The food we received was not worth the $100 we paid for it. There are plenty of other great Italian restaurants on the Strip.
Service is outstanding. The servers are so attentive. They really hustle. The food was very enjoyable. The portions are very large, I would consider splitting an entree. My husband and I could not come close to finishing our meals. It was a very nice dinner.
Chaz was a great server! We thought the food was pretty good, but the portion sizes are almost like family style! Had we known, we would have shared an entree. There are no microwaves in hotel rooms so what the heck would we do with the leftovers? Reduce portions sizes and tweak the prices down a tad. The Calamari was delicious and well seasoned.
Great food, food was priced well. Service was excellent. Drinks where expensive. When you order food they will try and up sell you be carful I added sausage to my pasta and it was $6.00 a little expensive for what it was.
With that said it was very good so I didn’t mind.
