Suzanne was amazing! I enjoyed my birthday despite the new normal of the world. She managed to get a hint from my significant other that I was my birthday and I really enjoyed the surprise that came out with dessert. I can say that she pays attention to details, and her service was impeccable.
Much slower than past visits but it looked like there was only one waiter...we were outside

We sat outside in one of the pods that are supposed to be heated. Ours wasn’t. It was freezing. Friends of ours were sitting in another pod and when they were leaving they told us their waitress brought them a space heater. Our waiter never offered us a heater. Our waiter also messed up our bill. I understand that the times we are living in are very tough but I thought Buddakan would have had it together better.
It was great to be able to eat at a restaurant albeit outside. Little cold and it appeared that the menu was shortened due to covid restrictions

The outdoor set up was very disappointing. The Chalet’s lacked heat. The additional space heaters barely worked and with very few patrons we could not understand why we could not get additional space heaters. The chalets at Parc were so warm and comfortable, I expected a similar experience here. It was very disappointing.
Our server was amazing and the food always excellent
Besides being rather cold, everything was fantastic. Service was quick, hosts were great at managing take out orders and seating. Very accommodating with portable heaters as it was cold and windy.
We had Christmas Day dinner during pandemic. Since indoor dining was not allowed, we ate in the structure that was divided into 'rooms' by plastic partitions and the entire structure was open on one side. There was small heater in each 'room.' Although not ideal and was it freezing by the end of the meal, we felt safe and were able enjoy a good Christmas meal. The staff was very attentive and friendly, trying to make the best of the situation. The food was good and what you expect at Buddakan since the menu has not changed in 20 years.

The food was excellent! However just a suggestion because we were outdoors the food got cold quickly so I would suggest covers for the serving bowls etc. Edward is a fantastic waiter, attentive and friendly.

Date night disaster: Our Caesar salad arrive before our predinner cocktails, unceremoniously dropped at the table, before the silverware and appetizer plates. I’ll be generous and say the Caesar flavoring ruined our taste buds for what came next... but that’s only half true.
The waiter was awful, running between a few too many tables, paying closer attention to larger parties, presumably because of the tipping potential.
The outside area, although seemingly more attractive than others in the city, is unsuitable for eating warm menu items during cold winter nights.
Both the lobster fried rice and halibut main went cold almost immediately.
We left with what felt like $175 (before tip) wasted, not quite satiated enough, but both suffering heartburn and bloat.
We had a wonderful outdoor dining experience. Definitely different from dining inside the restaurant but very comfortable. Our server was polite and friendly. The host was also. The food was amazing as usual. I could have not asked for a better experience. Thank you for being available.
Our server Isaiah could be one of the worst servers I’ve endured. Few highlights. My fiends wife wine glass was completely dirty. He acknowledged later (it was so noticeable I don’t know how the bartender or he didn’t see it) and got her a new glass eventually. We ordered a lot and food was great as always. They forgot our crab fried rice. They forgot to bring out silverware. We were looking at our entrees for a good 5 minutes before we received silverware. Eating outside in the winter it’s not ideal as our food got cold by the time they brought some. Wanted a second round of drinks which he never brought out(even asking twice). And the cherry on top was dessert. We were all excited for the doughnuts and the waiter comes out and hands us the check. His response after all of these issues was “I just thought you guys wanted to get out of here”. The waiter was making an excuse about his other tables being chatty and needy. We spent over $400 and the service would’ve been better if I was at Applebee’s. Food still great might get take out again but will never dine in person

Very enjoyable but somewhat cold; Covid pandemic only permits restaurants to serve outdoors. setup felt safe with tables within plywood structure separated by plexiglass. Very happy for our restaurants who can survive. Food was very fresh and flavorful.
Great outdoor seating setup. They did a great job investing in heated stalls outside and they have the best outdoor seating I’ve seen. Well done adapting for the Covid regulations
Dinner was delicious and the outside dining was so nice.
This place never cease to amaze me! Even post holiday, in mist of COVID-19 restrictions for outdoor dining and the power for that block was out our delicious food kept coming! They had duct work for heat inside the dining space which is a nice touch, extremely expensive considering made by the company to ensure our comfort. It was impressively amazing and outstanding service delivery. The waiter and service team worked well as a team and my hats off to the chef!
Outdoor dining included a nice tent with heat. Lovely lanterns hung overhead to add to the ambience. Tables spaced far enough apart for social distancing. Temperatures are taken of everyone who dines there. Masks worn by all employees. I have been going to Buddakan for over 2 decades and even during this pandemic they managed to keep the experience amazing.
Buddakan rocks, consistently. It never disappoints. The food is unique and delicious (love, love, love the curried cauliflower and Szechuan pork dumplings!!) The cocktails are scrumptious and the service is awesome. What more could one ask for on a date night, or any night?!?!?!
