Buddakan - Philadelphia
Great atmosphere. Waiter was outstanding and the food amazing especially the duck wings. Will be back again.
The duck wings and sea bass were phenomenal!
Restaurant Week is an excellent time to try different restaurants, and Buddakan is a prime example.
Wonderful service from all and absolutely delicious large group meal during restaurant week to help celebrate a co-workers retirement.
Thank you so much
Ate here for lunch during restaurant week. Everything was tasty and service was quick.
I love Buddakan. I remember the good all days when the salad was seven dollars. My how times have changed. It’s always a fun time with friends. I encourage them to make more fried dumpling options.
The seating was not good reservations was for high seating and got there still had a wait then got sat right in the entrance where it was cold
Went during restaurant week which was very busy. But there was no delay in our food which was delicious (edamame dumplings, monk fish, and dan dan noodles). Absolutely go here!
The food was phenomenal, especially the sea bass and Caesar salad. The level of service was also perfect - we felt pampered without too many intrusions..
Wonderful food and experience! The calamari salad was Devine and the edamame dumplings, delishhhh!
The Restaurant is always a pleasant experience. The food is the best in Philadelphia. I was a little irritated with the older waiter upstairs. The bill came to $75.00. He was given a $100.00 bill.
The change he brought back was a $20.00 bill and five ones.
A 20% tip is $15.00 but we gave him the $20.00 because he should have given his customer adequate change and not assume he will get the $20.00. I purposely took the five ones because I hate for someone to manipulate me.
We love Buddakan and will come back again and again. I just hope you will properly train your staff.
Always an enjoyable experience all the way around at Buddakan.
Everything was great!
I love the food at Buddakan. The service is very good. I would love the place even more if it were quieter. The music is not pleasant and is too loud in my opinion. We had the 3 course special which is a lot of delicious food with many choices. My companion was allergic to soy and our waiter was able to recommend dishes with no soy. There was one dish she was served that apparently he did not know contained soy and he alerted her before she ate it. That dish should not have been served. However, if you are allergic to soy I would not recommend this restaurant because you will missing the best dishes.
Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Buddakan. Our food was delicious and service was excellent. It did become a bit noisy when the restaurant filled up with lunch customers, but it didn’t impact the delightful meal we enjoyed. Buddakan is a MUST for anyone visiting Philadelphia who enjoys exceptional food and service.
Food was so delicious and waitress was very nice, the only thing is we made a reservation and had to wait for about 20 minutes. I think it was a lot of waiting time considering reservation was made.
An old favorite. Great value during Restaurant week. Love those Szechuan fries and the bento box.
The food was amazing, the sake was amazing, the ambiance unparalleled , service was speedy, and server was attentive but not as personable as I have experienced at the establishment in the past
Everything as usual was wonderful, Loved every part of the meal, Thankyou
Food and service was amazing. We were shocked when we got the bill and one monitor was 20.50. We didn’t realize and ordered two! It was good but not that good.
Responsive and helpful service.
Wonderful and delicious meal, appetizer, entree, dessert.
The restaurant week intro is just a start.
Buddakan is my favorite restaurant. I have been going there since it opened and it is consistently outstanding every time. The Asian Caesar is the best salad on any restaurant menu, the Sea Bass melts in your mouth and the aged beef is a great dish the doughnuts are also great.
Excellent Restaurant week menu! Second time here and will be back! 😃💕
I always enjoy coming to Buddakan. The food is amazing, the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and the ambiance brings an overall feeling of calmness and peace because of the huge Buddha statue and the dim lighting. I have visited this restaurant maybe 5 times and each time I am pleased with the food. This is a great restaurant for a date, a family dinner or ladies night out. So versatile. I love it here! Must try.
First time eating there. Went for Restaurant week. Ordered Duck appetizer, Sea Bass entree and the vanilla-lime cake. Everything tasted delicious. However, that duck leg was more like a chicken drumstick with a teriyaki-hoisin sauce... still good though. The Sea Bass was EXCELLENT and filling. Fish was steamed so tender and flavorful. The texture just melts in your mouth... that good! The vanilla-line cake was light with a creamy taste and a little bit of lime on top which was the perfect combination of sweet and tart. We are definitely returning to this restaurant. So glad we tried it.
Fabulous restaurant..Everything about this restaurant is fantastic. Can’t wait to go back.
Delicious food and great service! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Great food. Ambience was beautiful, but it could use some updating. Service was good, but the server could have been a tinge more refined. Overall excellent experience.
Food was good, music was great and loud. No complaints
The food was delicious. The ambiance was amazing!
3rd time there. Food is always filled with flavor. Nice menu. Waitstaff was exceptional. Need better light to read menus. Not all of your clientele has 25 yr old eyes! That being said a group of people in their 30s sat next to us. Pulled out their phones to use flashlight app to see menu. They were totally oblivious to the fact that they were waiving their flashlight all over the place while reading and talking. Absolutely blinding us in the meantime. It put a hamper on what was a great night to that point. Better table lighting would prevent people using their phone and spoiling the ambience.
Good food and good service
Heard great things about the restaurant and it lived up to my expectations
Great Service. Excellent Presentation
Food is excellent
High quality dining experience - Duck was outstanding !
We arrived for a 5:00 reservation on 1/4/20. My wife, two daughters and I shared Lobster Fried Rice, Korean Beef Fried Rice, Beef Chow Fun, Dim Sum Sampler and Hoisin Glazed Pork Belly. We enjoyed everything and in addition to leftovers of the rice and noodles we even took an order of the Hoisin Glazed Pork Belly home for Sunday snack. Enjoy!
