   Good for one-time visit. The ambiance is very sexy & dimly lit yet energetic. Food is quite average & overpriced for sure. Would prefer Tao over Buddakan.

   From start to finish this place was nothing short of amazing. The bar waiting area is huge and perfect while you wait for your party. Then as you ascend downstairs to the dining area it’s open and such a beautiful decor. The service here is fantastic. The waiter was so helpful and attentive. Even after we were done they did not rush you out they help you even if you want to capture that award winning picture for the night. I certainly enjoyed my birthday here and look forward to dining here again in the future.

    Excellent food and atmosphere, spoiled by terrible service and inept management. I was at this restaurant in December last year, and we ordered a fairly expensive bottle of wine. The waiter poured us each a little, and said he would chill the bottle. We never saw him again until it was time for the check. The runners started bringing food. I asked each one to fill our wine glasses, or find our waiter to do it, or just bring us our bottle so we could do it ourselves. Each and every one of them said, “not my job, can’t help you”. Our waiter was nowhere to be seen, and every other server walked past me, deliberately ignoring me, every time I tried to get someones attention to help us with the wine. Obviously I complained when the check came, and we finally got an apology from an assistant manager, with promises nothing like that would happen again if we would come back to give them another chance. I went back last night with a friend from out of town who had heard about the restaurant and wanted to try it. As soon as we sat down, the dame assistant manager from last time came to the table to thank me for giving them another chance, and promise “the best possible service”. We ordered the dumpling platter to start. A runner came to the table with a dumpling platter, but it down on our table, made a show of organizing the sauces, and started to walk away. Then the oddest thing happened. He lunged back to the table, shouting “no that is not for you! I will be back!” He took everything off our table and ran away, never to come back. We were told later, after asking about it, thet the server had gotten the orders “mixed up”. A dumpling platter is a dumpling platter. What did he do, take it off our table after we had breathed in it to re-serve to someone else? Isn’t that a health code violation? Then, at the end of the meal, I gave my credit card without looking at the check first. Big mistake. It was someone else’s check. And they were trying to impress!

    A bit disappointed with our dinner last night, when we dined 3 years ago it was amazing!! Our host was average not really engaging and when I asked her to take a photo she just left and didn’t see her again. Food took over an hour to arrive despite arriving at 945pm our mains were served at 11pm and the restaurant was hardly busy at this time in fact we were the only 2 people seated on the long main table.

    The place is fantastic!!! I had a hard time to understand what the waitress was telling me due to the loud songs; it was too much even though everything was terrific. The dishes were excellent and worth the price charged.

    Energetic vibe, cathedral-like ceilings, food was very good, especially the filet, chicken, crispy shrimp and curried rice noodles. Service was professional yet friendly, and the waitresses’s recommendations were spot-on. Was a great place to celebrate a birthday.

    I usually don’t leave reviews, but I had to share my amazing experience dining at Buddakan. My mom, sister, and I went on a Friday evening, and the service was top tier! Our waiter, Derek, was awesome! He navigated us through the menu and gave us thorough details of what Buddakan had to offer. We really enjoyed the ambiance and the food was the cherry on top. We ordered a few items off of the menu, including drinks, and everything was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend this place, you won’t regret it.

    Food was good though the Peking duck was on the dry side. Lobster fried rice was excellent, lamb chops came out rare instead of med rare and not very flavorful. We were seated in a very narrow section and unfortunately the servers had a challenge squeezing thru the aisle and other customers would bump into us when they walked by either scratching the dishes on the table, hitting us with purses or back packs. The most uncomfortable part was we couldn’t have a conversation. The music was way too loud. Our server was very gracious and tried hard.

    Delicious! Edamame dumplings, tuna spring roll, crispy tofu, veggie fried rice and cheesecake egg roll were our favorites. Loved the DJ and music volume was perfect.

    The ambiance of this restaurant is dark, beautifully decorated and you can dress casual to dine here. The noise level is pretty high from all the happy chatter going around but doesn’t take away from your experience. The food is pricey considering the entree only consist of the meat with no sides. Drink menu is limited but overall I would dine here again. The jumbo shrimp and the lamb chops were delicious. The ginger glaze absolutely yummy!!
