És uña atracción la comida, ambiente valen mucho la experiencia
Food is mediocre at best. Service very slow. Overpriced
We had a great time. Our waiter John was outstanding and very involved in helping us pick our meals. He was very nice and extremely patient.
He made the Birthday for Bradley a great night
The restaurant is huge, very dark and noisy. We sat downstairs in the larger dining area. The waiter initially told us we had to order everything at once, even though it’s family style dining. We told him we weren’t going to do that...we would order as we went along and felt like we needed more food. The food arrived very quickly every time. The edamame dumplings were good, the veggie fried rice can be skipped, so can their cold noodle dish. The lobster egg rolls are huge, fried egg rolls and not what we expected. We wish we had been warned. The cauliflower lollipops were quite good. The chili chicken dish was also good. The chocolate dessert was good minus the express ice cream. It was an interesting dining experience but too expensive for ok food.
25 min waiting to be sited, another 20 min to the first dish to arrive...
Great atmosphere, great volume level, enough space between tables, excellent service. Food was just okay - perfect for diverse group, though.
Got the cheeks
Best Anniversary Thus Far, Thank You Buddakan Nyc ❤️
It was amazing! The food was great, anything we had was very tasty. The service was excellent and the entire environment in general was amazing! Thanks!
I love this establishment! The food is amazing!! Also will work with any dietary restrictions.
They make every experience a special event and are exceptional at service.
Buddakan is simply my favourite in the city - Michael Lopez and his team are awesome!
Great service. Got a lot of attention. Celebrated 24th birthday and would go for my 25th.
The food was very good, but the noise level was too much
Put us at the worst table. Why???
Going at 7:00 makes a difference if you have a table/room preference. In addition, the food comes out of the kitchen in a timely yet I rushed manner. If you dine here frequently, there won’t be any surprises, but you will always be pleased with what you order.
Probably the best desert ever had!!!
Unacceptable to take 50 minutes to be seated for a table booked on opentable, sat down at 9:20 for a table booked at 8:30. Not a great seating system, nice place, decent food. Stick to Tao.
Another cant miss while in NYC. Never fails to delight. Always ask the staff what their favorites are because we have tried things we wouldn’t have usually order with great turnout.
Was pleasantly surprised by the food and service. Would go back again
Good place . Great ambiance. Reasonablly Good veg options. Dessert was awesome.
I was treated exactly how you should be treated when you're spending 200 plus on dinner for two. Servers were attentive and my drinks were never empty! Food portions were small but exceptionally good.
We were at Buddakan celebrating my daughter's 21st birthday and it could not have been any better!! It is a truly beautiful space!! The Hostess, our waitress in the bar and our dinner waiter were top notch!! The food is spectacular with different and interesting choices. Fresh and expertly prepared. We hadn't even left and had decided that we will definitely be back -- all the way from MA.
We had an excellent diner, good service, beautiful decor and wonderful ambiance. If you are not from NYC and you want to try something different; this is the place!
Top place with good food! Very good style and nice restaurant.
It was a pleasure to visit Buddakahn NY. Nice and very special faciliies.
Fabulous! The atmosphere had a really cool vibe reminiscent of an underground club with a lavish meets industrial decor. The food was perfectly presented and prepared from beginning to end. We had the dim sum for two, split the cod, duck rice and broccoli. Our favorites were the crab toast which were more like a polenta cooked in a mini muffin tin with a big portion of crab on top. The cod was charred on the outside caramelizing the chili glaze and so tender and perfectly cooked. The seats were a bit close and we could overhear our neighbors conversations even though the atmosphere was loud. But the food so made up for that one downside. The cocktail menu was well done too. My husband had the ‘Smoke’ and I had the gin one I forget the name- super yummy! A must experience
Great time. Beautiful restaurant.
Top !!! Best club ever been in my life !!!
Birthday weekend for my daughter in NYC
Have been a huge fan of Buddakan in Philadelphia and Atlantic City for years! Menu had been consistently delicious and with a certain twist there for years!
Have been surprised by the menu in this location!!!
Glorified Chinese food ... Boring and dull!
Too pushy on removing our dishes.. The apps came before the drinks
Our deserts were swapped with the table next to us , we only realized when they brought the birthday desert to us instead of them... wait staff took our deserts off their table.(they'd been sitting there) and brought them to us...
Shareable plates at reasonable prices. Ambiance makes for a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. If you make reservations you are more than likely to be seated very close to that time. Definitely recommend this restaurant!
AMAZING!!! Can't wait to go back. I loved everything about this restaurant from the moment I entered. Super professional staff and very accommodating! We had a wonderful round table for 4 and everyone was perfectly comfortable. Our server (wish I remembered his name) was beyond helpful and friendly..he made wonderful suggestions and was spot on! The edamame dumplings tasted like bites of heaven and the Peking duck was prepared just right - though the menu states it's a portion for two - it was more like a portion for one...at least for my husband.
In a nutshell....I can't wait to return!!! It's now my new favorite place:)
Great stylish place, amazing Location, Perfect service and very good food and drinks.
Food is always great. No complaint there. My issue stems from the insane pricing for the food. Spent $300 on dumplings for 2.
Overall it was a great experience , I was a little disappointed a few items were no longer on the menu... ie the blueberry cheesecake.
I was looking for a good Asian restaurant in the neighborhood and Buddakan was recommended by a co-worker. I generally don't like trendy places, but really enjoyed this one. I was concerned about the noise level and the hostess made sure to seat us in a quiet section of this massive space. Although a bit pricey, the food was excellent! The service was excellent; however, a bit too overzealous at times in wanting to remove our dishes before we were done. I didn't sense they were trying to turnover the table, just too quick to remove plates. Overall, it was a very good dining experience and I would go back again!
Good food, but very pricey. Sound could be a little lower.
Buddakan is one of my favorite resturants in the city. The quality is always the same EXCELLENT.
Exceptional experience! Our server Eric was phenomenal! I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends!
