    Please join us for a Saturday afternoon at Buddakan NYC, where Executive Chef Zachary Taylor will teach you how to make the restaurant’s signature dim sum using traditional Asian ingredients, techniques, and utensils. Each guest will be served their own dim sum creations, alongside a selection of house specialties, including: Pea Shoot Salad, Broken Chili Chicken, Sweet & Crispy Jumbo Shrimp and a variety of rice and Vegetable Stir-Fry; served with an assortment of alcoholic and NA beverages. Guests are invited to participate in this unique interactive experience and feast on delicious, shareable pan-Asian fare at Buddakan stunning downstairs banquet table. *Must be 21 years of age or older to participate.

    We went to Buddakan last night and it was only okay. For a 7:15 reservation we were seated pretty promptly, but certainly not in a great location, right on the path to the bathrooms, as well as where all the servers seemed to be hanging out watching their tables. We could also see that the more happening seats were on the lower level. We ordered the dim sum tasting for two, and the dumplings were bland. I had the Black Pepper Beef and my husband had the sizzling short Ribs, both were okay. We also ordered the chilled Peanut Noodles, which were good but nothing special. We should have been warned that we were ordering too much food, as apparently the main dishes are meant to shared. I will say the service was excellent, very attentive! it was the floating manager that checked in on us that explained about the share idea, when it should have bee the server, as we were ordering, not AFTER! Two $30 dollar a piece glasses of wine and a $275 check later, we were unimpressed to say the least.

    Such a great experience. Service was incredible. The food was excellent. Shared plates - edamame dumplings were hands down my fcve. Lived the short rib as the main and the chilled peanut noodles were fantastic. Didn’t love dessert but enjoyed the presentation of it. Again, the service was the absolute best.

    I waitress was rude. The food was good, however are waitress lets us order way to much food. Vibe was good.

    Buddakan has become more than a restaurant to us--it is a cherished tradition. For twelve consecutive years, we have returned on this very day, drawn by something deeper than habit. This evening was no exception; it was, in truth, exceptional. The staff knew of our long-standing tradition, and the service we received was nothing short of otherworldly. With deep appreciation, I extend a special thank you to Brea, Fatima, and Anya. Your attentiveness, grace, and care elevated the experience beyond expectation. The service was sublime--refined, thoughtful, and utterly unique. It's no wonder this place holds such a special place in our hearts. Our meal, as always, was a celebration of flavor and familiarity: the signature tuna tartare spring rolls, delicate edamame dumplings, savory Chinese sausage fried rice, and this time, a delightful addition--the ginger chicken. Each dish was a triumph. The ice cream that followed? A perfect final note--truly chef's kiss. The food and service at Buddakan are always of the highest caliber, but tonight transcended all expectations. It was magic. The restaurant itself is stunning! As we stepped out into the evening air, my wife had tears of joy in her eyes. Such was the beauty of the moment--simple, profound, and unforgettable. To the Buddakan team--thank you. Thank you for the memories, for your care, and for making this night unforgettable. We raise our glasses to you. Until next time--blessings to each of you.
