   It’s such a cool spot. It’s not authentic Chinese, but it’s not pretending to be either. Perfect execution of the intent of this ultra hip restaurant.

   My friend and I went after hearing great things. We ordered the lobster fried rice and shrimp among other things. The rice had no flavor and the shrimp was drenched in a southwest sauce that was too overpowering. Our server never came to check on us once the food arrived and we had to hunt staff down just to get our check and pay our bill.

   Dinner before a concert at MSG. We’ve been to Buddakan in Philly but this was our first time at the NYC location, wow was it a HUGE restaurant! Service was great and so was our sun we. The passion fruit lemon cheesecake was AMAZING!

    The server was a bit rude. We asked for a lactose free meal post placing an order and he didn't care to even inform if that request can be entertained. We ordered Malay chicken which had very pungent peppercorns that had a really long nasty aftertaste. The music was too loud for a fine dining and the lighting too dim to even make out what we were eating. Rest of the dishes were good but overall the experience was not what we expected for the price we paid.

    Searched for NY’s top Chinese restaurants and it led to this! We got the tasting menu set II and the food was amazing. Serving is generous and service is great! The lemon cheesecake is a must try. Sat in the more quiet corner and it was perfect since the place is very packed.

    Food was ok. However there was a VERY long wait in between dish two and three which we didn’t quite understand. There was no explanation about it either. Restaurant is so dark inside that your eyes have to adjust to the almost pitch black “ambiance”. Maybe that’s their allure? Just didn’t feel it was necessary in our opinion.

    The food is EXCELLENT! But, prepare to dine in a nightclub or an aerobics class. The music is extremely loud to the point you cannot hear the person across the table from you or your server. You can expect to feel like dancing or working out to the noise. It is dimly lit so prepare to use a flashlight to see the menu, Consider this a high review on the food and a very low review on the ambiance. I would get takeout to enjoy the food, but not eat in the restaurant.

    The ambience was amazing.. loved the decor and vibe. The main hall reminded me of the "great hall" from Harry Potter. The candles on the table were a nice touch. the food and drinks were lovely too. Would definitely recommend and come back :)

    Fantastic food but service needs work. When we arrived we were sent to the lounge area but you had no way of identifying us which made for a rather odd experience where people that work there continued to come around and ask who we were. I really think you could improve this experience by inviting people to order a drink at the bar or having a system where you can identify who people are. We waited a while for our table to be ready despite having a reservation so decided to get a drink at the bar (lady behind the bar was very good) and then when we were ready we couldn’t find anyone to seat us. Once we were seated it took 20 minutes for someone to come to our table to offer water/ talk about the menu. A plate was taken away from my husband whilst he was still eating - the waiter didn’t seem to care or notice. Maybe things are different in the US but I think this is a pretty basic standard of service. All in all a pretty disappointing experience on my 30th birthday!

    The duck was very dry. The drinks were tasty. Did not like that when you start at the bar, you must check out at the bar and they will not walk your drinks to the table for you either. Expected a little better service than that.
