Anthony did not want to be bothered with us.
This restaurant was just awesome!!! And the food was amazing
Remarkable food. Very loud you would think it’s a club and not a restaurant. Waiting area is very disorganized and just a way for you to spend more money on drinks while you wait. Very dark.
We ordered the monkfish, pork potstickers, tuna spring rolls and Chinese’s sausage fried rice. The fish, potstickers and spring rolls were all amazing, we found the fried rice to be lacking in flavor but it was made up for in the other three dishes. I had the Fate cocktail that was delicious and for dessert the crying chocolate which was like nothing we had ever had. Our server was very kind and attentive. The atmosphere was more of a younger crowd and loud but still very enjoyable. Overall, it was an excellent experience and we will definitely be back!!
Fantastic food as always and very good service. Highly recommend
We went to Buddakan for my boyfriend’s birthday. I had been before but it was his first time. The food was amazing, the space is spectacular and our server was fabulous. Wonderful evening all around.
Everything was amazing from the food to the service
We were late but they were able to take us, there was a little wait but it was good because we enjoyed the bar area which was very lively. Once our table was ready the server was great, he explained everything to us and made some recommendations which we loved. Overall we had great time and we definitely plan to go back 👌
Waited to be seated after checking in with the hostess in the bar/lounge for a 9:30 reservation for 90 minutes. No one came to find us in that whole time. Waited for 25+ minutes for someone to even get us a drink/appetizer menu though we were seated at a table in the lounge. When we were leaving, informed the hostess that we were never seated at our actual reserved table was informed they were "just about to go find us". Compared to the experience and service at the Philadelphia Buddakan, this was a disgrace.
Despite the reservation we had to wait more than 40 minutes to be seated - too much noise - poor quality drink - too expansive
We had to wait more than an hour for our reserved table, a big bummer
After a disastrous start with us having to wait in the crowded bar area for 45 minutes for our reserved table we were seated probably at one of the worst tables in the restaurant!!! However after that the service by our waitress was exemplary and the food was certainly delicious- would I give it a second go......probably
Sat 1 hour after reservation. Server was terrible. Took 20 minutes to order after appetizers. We threw cash down and walked out. Never again.
It was my ladies b-day, we’ve been to the AC location many times, So I figured I’d take her here since it’s one of her faves. The server was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and the place was beautiful. The miso smoked ribs and cauliflower lollipops were to die for.
Great food and drinks. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Only negative part is we waited for our table for almost 45 minutes.
The ambiance and food were amazing, and our server really made the night. My only complaint was the 45 minute wait past our 8:30 reservations. They did send over dessert as an apology, which was unexpected but a nice touch for the wait
The whole sea bass was out of this world, everything actually was so delicious
Food was so amazing!! Lovely restaurant and ambience.
This is my favorite place in NY. I have been there many times, and it never disappoints. We had quite a wait despite the reservation, and they offered us an appetizer. Turns out, it was their signature dish and it was excellent. Each dish was great, but dessert was the nicest I had in a long time. Service is always the best, and our waiter gave us a lot of attention. They did not forget my birthday cake either. Simply the best.
Food and service at table excellent- greeting friendly but kept waiting in the bar with no communication. Absolutely love this place
The ambience felt like we were in a club, very dark and loud music. But we got used to it by the end. The food was incredible! Highly recommend the general tso dumplings! I will be craving those forever!
Great atmosphere, a little bit too dark but great vibe. Really helpful waiter helped me choose the gluten free options. Wine menu expensive but didn’t stop us buying a bottle ;)
Food was fantastic. Everyone was friendly. We enjoyed it tremendously.
Lovely place, so different outside to inside, however, food was very expensive for what it was certainly nothing special.
Food was mediocre for the price. We sampled many dishes and nothing wowed us. Beautiful interior!! Service exceptional. Great for a date or Bri g out of towners
It was very warm and welcoming.
The only complaint I have is about the service, my husband had to ask for our waitress twice and when the food came, they forgot one of our main entree, which we ended up canceling. But besides that I liked the food a lot. Nice atmosphere too
Top notch service, excellent food and fun time. Also a great place for large groups they have tons of seating.
Loud , medium quality food, nice setup, unpolite reception
The coolest place to have a meal in NYC. Loved everything about it.
It’s so nice to return to this magical spot time after time and continue to get our favorite dishes on the menu with lovely and personable staff in such a gorgeous setting! Thank you for many years of pleasure at this gem!
Still a favorite go to after many years. Food and service was exceptional. Edamame dumplings 🥟 a must order! Tasting menu for 6 people was a ton of food and it was all GREAT!
Qualità dei piatti ineccepibile, tutto molto buono e tutto sommato prezzo corretto visto il tipo di locale
The food was amazing. The chicken Tso dumplings and edamame dumplings are the best dumplings ever. The crying chocolate desert was perfection. Our server was really sweet, but overall service was slow. Too many servers giving different messages. We had to ask for the chilli flakes 3 times and 3 different servers.
I took my girlfriend here for her birthday dinner. We were immediately greeted by the hostess, who ushered us to the bar area to wait for our table. We were probably there 4 minutes before another hostess came to show us to our seats. We were then greeted by our FABOULOUS, AMAZING, INFORMATIVE, SUPER FRIENDLY waitress Veronique! She explained the menu and was extremely patient as we asked questions as to what dish was the best. We ate Appetizers- Lobster egg rolls & Short rib scallion pancake, Entree- Whole Sea Bass (which I highly recommend) & Roasted Chicken Congee with The Lobster fried rice & Gai Lan veggie dish which was amazing. Dessert- Chocolate Pistachio Cremoso (rich and sinful).
Overall our experience was excellent, besides the food, Veronique made our experience at Buddakan special! Thank you!
The food at Buddakan is ALWAYS delicious!! Everything that came to our table made our tastebuds smile. The service is also impeccable. If you want an evening of exquisite dining, Buddakan is THE place!
It has been a decade since we’ve been here but the food is still very good. Other than the loud music, my wife and I had a great time!
Fun with friends , awesome every time. Had a blast !!!! Ate to much
Waiting was frustrating !
Ambience was amazing !
