Buddakan has been called “a temple of modern Asian cuisine.” But it’s also a testament to the possibilities of inspired design. Upon entering, the first thing one sees is the surreal Asian garden surrounded by multi-level archways and 25-foot trees that seem to grow through rocks, footbridges and the ceiling itself. The dramatic atmosphere and enchanting karma is enhanced by the presence of a gigantic Golden Buddha that watches over the entire restaurant from a head of a 24-foot communal dining room table. The menu portrays an innovative interpretation of Asian Cuisine that matches the ambience in terms of creativity, inspiration and its capacity to satisfy. A delectably imaginative fusion of Chinese, French and Asian styles that results in dishes that exotic yet comforting – all prepared with perfectionist attention to the smallest detail.

    The food and ambiance were wonderful. The waiter wasn’t. I had to raise my voice to get his attention for straws 10minutes after he provided water, because he never came back to check on us. He was polite, but I believe he was overwhelmed. He was the only waiter on our side. There were different people bringing out food, but he was the only server. He checked on others, but not my table

    I go here every year and get the wasabi filet for my b day.. this year was a little different ... i went with my wife , mother in law and sister in law ... food was great but our waiter was not friendly whatsoever .. we were greeted by him saying “do you guys want ice or bottled water” did not introduce himself or anything then We could barely get a hold of him to get a ginger ale ... I’m disappointed cuz i love their food but this birthday dinner was a disappointment

    We tried Buddakan during Atlantic City Restaurant Week. The menu was varied and the food was great. Highlights included the Asian Caesar Salad appetizer and both the Sea Bass and Wasabi Filet Mignon entrées. It was a terrific meal and we will definitely go back.

    This is my absolute favorite place to go! I’ve never had a bad experience here. Service is always incredible and food is outstanding! I always recommend this place to everyone. An essential no matter the occasion.

    Went for lunch for AC Restaurant week 2020 and we could not have been more impressed! Servings were larger than we expected for lunch and staff was amazing. Will definitely go back!

    Food and ambience were great, as always! My friend wa celebrating her birthday, and we had a nice evening. On the downside, we had a 9:45PM reservation, and felt rushed through the dining experience. Our server was clearly ready to go. Perhaps, the restaurant should stop taking reservations earlier so guests can comfortably enjoy their dinner.

    I had been to the NYC restaurant and had high expectations for the AC location. We were not disappointed. The chefs tasting was everything we could eat backed by exceptional main courses of Sea Bass and Wasabi Crusted filet of beef. The service, ambiance and food were 10/10. If there was any minor drawback it would be the “wine by the glass selection”...a bit lacking in choices.

    While the food was good, the service wasn't too great. It was a birthday dinner and I had to remind the hostess several times to bring out the dessert and we were finished with our entrees at least for an hour before it came out.

    As always, never a bad meal. Food and service is very consistent. My wife actually commented that the manager or owner must run a very tight ship as there is never any issue.
