Amazing!!! I love the atmosphere, food and staff. I always have a great experience and recommend it to anyone looking to dine in Atlantic City!!
Service was excellent. We did the prefix menu and it was great!
Ate dinner there for a bachelorette party. We reserved a table for 5:45, 2 weeks in advanced. I originally wanted a 7 o’clock reservation but it was all booked, just a heads up. The table was great! The waitress was awesome! Food was delicious!
Loved the opportunity to try many items on the menu with the tastings for 2. Everything was well prepared, came out in a relaxed pace and was delicious
Great ambience, staff were fantastic. They made sure to consider our dietary requests. Everything was delicious! Would definitely go back!
Our anniversary lunch was fantastic!
We come here every time we come to AC and it never disappoints! Service was great, food was delicious, and you can't beat dining with Buddha!
Everything was excellent, especially the service. I have celiac disease and some other food allergies, which I mentioned to our server, Ashley when we were seated. I have never been in a restaurant that handled this information with such care. Every single person who brought plates to the table was made aware and each announced what the items were and whether or not they were gluten free and if any contained my allergens. Food and drinks were also excellent.
Come here to Atlantic City a few times a year & we get the same meal.
Duck which is delicious not greasy or fatty.
Lobster fried rice... for dessert 5 little donuts that we share.
I like the chocolate sauce & my friend eats the banana
Budakahn in center city 10 blocks from where I live never go there
Only go to the one @ the shore a zillion times better food
the service was a little spotty but overall it was ok once i had to talk to the manager.
Food was quite good and very fresh. Our waiter was knowledgable and caring (our daughter has dietary restrictions), but he did forget to bring a rice side dish. All in all a very favorable experience.
As expected! John was a knowledgeable and a excellent host. Our experience beginning to end was perfect. Thank you Buddakan for making my Fiancé’s Birthday that more special!
Sea Bass melts in your mouth. Shrimp tempura on Bao bun was delish! Jordan was one of the kindest waiters I’ve had in a while. Can’t wait to go back!
Very good but it was so dark in there. We asked for a flashlight which they did not have. We did use our cell phones to see menu but why make a restaurant so dark? Food was good but the surprise birthday dessert which was chocolate cake was stale.
Not what it used to beThe standards at this restaurant have definitely going down. The place was not clean. The food was just OK.
Years ago when we first started to dine at Buddakan, in both Philly and then Atlantic City, the food was outstanding. We returned many times to predictably terrific special, family meals. My oldest always chose it for his birthday dinner. However, the last time we ate at the one in AC (August 2017) our party of 7 was seated at a table near the kitchen which was loud, they forgot 1/2 the calamari on the calamari salad, the lentils under the salmon were dry and the service was just ok. BUT, we decided to give it one more chance. I have to say, the food absolutely does not justify the price. The salmon I ordered was dry. The lentils were very starchy and heavy; the calamari was a little chewy. I will say that the filets were delicious as was the pork but think we will let some time pass before we return. There are so many other restaurants in AC to try!
The service was pretty good. It’s better to call and make a reservation so you don’t have to wait be they do get crowded. Our food came out With in 25 min which wasn’t bad for a party of 8. My only thing was that the restaurant is inside the casino so if you’re using an iPhone gps prepared to get left in the middle of the road. parking was an issue so be prepared to walk a good 15-20mins from the parking garage to the actual restaurant and to also ask everyone for directions unless you know exactly where it’s located. Overall the experience was great.
Service was great - our server was very accommodating and attentive. I completely forgot I'd put in the booking that we were celebrating a birthday, and he was kind enough to bring a small dessert out for us.
I’ve been to Buddakan many times. We like the food. However we felt we were rushed. Not fine dining. As soon as we had the appetizers, the main meal came right out.
Service was very good. Wait staff was extra friendly. My husband had the lamp chops and they were excellent.
This was our 4th visit to Buddakan AC. The food and service are always second to none. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, Great cocktails, spectacular food (have the calamari salad and edamame raviolis). You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu simply wonderful!
There was 6 of us dining so we were lucky and were sat in one of the side booths so the atmosphere was cool. The drinks were all delicious and the food was good. However I wouldn't say it was amazing for the expensive prices. My only complaint was that I have a friend who has a soy allergy and while I realize the menu was limited it was only disappointing that the waitress first said there were lots of menu items that could be customized so there were plenty of soy free options, before talking to chef. After talking to the chef we learned that there was only one option- unseasoned meat and steamed veggies. luckily the fried rice would be made soy free. but that was it. Needless to say my friend was a little disappointed as she was told there would be options when there was not.
Simply an amazing meal, ambiance and service! Do yourself a favor and go there if you can!
Consistently good with what i have experienced with Buddakan. Drinks were fantastic!
Wide selection of dishes, with an unusual flair. Well flavored, and great for sharing. Service excellent, but not obtrusive.
This was our annual vacation trip to Buddakan, our grandson's favorite Atlantic City restaurant.
We have been doing this since the summer of 2011 and he is now 17. Our meal was delicious, as
always. The sea bass, in particular, was amazing.
This site is so much better than the one in Philadelphia.
The atmosphere lends to a romantic dining experience, but the low lights seemed to encourage patrons to use their cellphone flashlights to see the menu, causing near blinding frustrations with our eyes adjusted to the low light. Also, the food came out extremely fast, giving a concern to how well was it cooked or how much was it prepped in advance (food tastes great and was cooked fine). Higher end prices for a less than higher end experience.
Our waiter was really nice! They actually brought out the wrong steak (filet mignon) at first and then, when we had to send back the actual steak because it was rare when we asked for well done, they apologized and let us choose any dessert we wanted. They wound up bringing out doughnuts and ice cream for us free of charge.
The service was great and the food was delicious. Would go back again
When we arrived we were one of only two tables. Perfect, it really felt like our own private restaurant through most of our lunch. Delicious food, and the kitchen was amazing about the food allergies we had to work around, even able to make an egg free fried rice! Something he'd never had before, due to the allergy. Definitely coming back, and checking out their Philly location when we get home.
We Ate at the bar for a change of pace and had a great causal dinner and friendly conversation with the bar keep!
Buddakan comes with a great reputation, but our experience was that it was very good, but not five stars. We had the tasting menu for two (see it on line), and had plenty to eat. The fish was perfect, the egg roll was top notch, and the chocolate mouse/pudding as part of the dessert selections was delicious. Everything else was good. But considering that we only had sparkling water to drink, our bill with tip came to $160. And given that we walked forever to get from the parking garage through the hotel, casino, and shops to get to the restaurant, and it was not such a great find after all.
Family dinner. 3 teenagers. They loved it
Don't fall pray to the parking fee. The restaurant recommends parking at Caesar when you call. Caesars parking fee was $25. The garage next door was $10. Budakhan no longer offers parking vouchers for Caesars but they do not tell you that voluntarily when you call about parking. So after enjoying an expensive meal you pay top dollar for parking. Beware!
Service is top notch. Highly recommend tasting menu... great sampling and large portions! Great deal and delicious.
Wonderful evening. Fantastic food and perfect service
Loved the food and the service - our table was next to the door to the kitchen so it would have been nice to be in another area.
Service is excellent and the food is consistently good!
We have eaten at Buddakan AC countless times since they opened. We chose to eat here for my father’s birthday this visit and it was hands down the worst meal we have ever eaten there. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and that is where our compliments stop. The consistency is not there, the quality is lacking, the better items (probably due to their cost) have been removed from the menu. The drinks were weak. The hostesses were rude. The managers were useless. We waited 30 mins AT 6:15 with two kids. We have NEVER waited more than 10 mins there. We (my husband, son and I) usually book dinner there at LEAST 2-3 times during our visits to AC. My family eats there at least 10 times in the summer months. I’m so incredibly disappointed.
Never sit upstairs!! We were stuffed into an upstairs corner. Way too dark to even read the menu. Everyone had their cell phones out to see the menus. It takes forever to get drinks upstairs. Food was OK. Not great. Expensive for the quality and portion size of the food. Server was professional, but had little personality.
