I had the stroganoff, she had the lamb. From the moment we got in everything was stellar. Appetizers, drinks were out of this world. My stroganoff was a hit at every level, her lamb was a tough sell even for me and I’m pretty easy to please. Looking forward to going and spending more in the future!
Food was fine. It is the noisiest restaurant we have ever been too; made worse by the loud and shrill customers in the table next to us.
To me food was ok but nothing special. I had the fried chicken sandwich and I thought the fried chicken was a bit dry. Our waiter was friendly but forgot to bring some items until reminded. I wouldn't go back.
The food was excellent. The noise level was unfortunately deafening. Also, the lighting was poor- people had trouble seeing menu.
Very noisy (conversation) even on a Tuesday evening
Outstanding food, drinks and atmosphere! Unique dinning choices - meatloaf was delicious!
Nice little trendy place for good eats and beverages
Stellar experience overall -
Great classic Bloody Marys and a perfect (and surprisingly interesting) Cobb Salad -
The food was awesome. The service was very good. My one negative criticism was that the lighting was too low for us, and it was a little loud. Other that that I would highly recommend this place.
I was taken here for my birthday dinner by a good friend. We had great conversation (though the place is VERY noisy), and the food was absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend the hot chicken sliders, the falafel-crusted cauliflower, and the fried cheese curds to anyone! Absolutely delicious!
My fiancé and I had a delicious, filling meal as well as a great overall brunch experience at Bud & Marilyns. Servers and management were friendly, fast, and professional. We highly recommend the hashbrowns - not your typical diner fare. We also loved the lox platter and the biscuits and gravy. Everything is fresh and tastes homemade. Save room for (or take home) dessert! (We had the banana cream pie.)
The Chicken Biscuit sandwich was good..... the Grapefruit Mimosa, also.... but the continued F/u with staff was a screaming... HURRY UP
Love the place, menu and vibe. Think I am just getting old - and realize how loud a place can be for dinner. Very enjoyable and would totally recommend!
A+ server, food was great!
I went for the fried chicken and was pleasantly surprised; it was delicious!
There was a mouse running around and the service didn’t seem to act too well when someone jumped. They seemed annoyed at the customer for being scared and reacting
Awesome food and great service
Service was great, food was good! Would go back, lots of great things to try.
Amazing food and truly fantastic waiters!
This place is delicious, I’ve been for brunch and dinner. I will be back!
Great food service and ambiance
The lamb steak was AMAZING!! Flavors were INCREDIBLE! Cooked perfectly! Can’t wait to go back!
Excellent service, interesting menu, savored every bite. Cocktails were well-made. This restaurant wasn’t on my radar so I was delightfully surprised and would recommend it - - I plan to go back again.
The cheese curds and Nashville chicken was awesome.
Had a fantastic meal at Bud & Marilyn’s. The place was full on a Wednesday night and the food was excellent.
I go quite often the food and drinks are always good . Love the atmosphere servers very friendly my favorite appetizer is the cheese curds . Wish they had a little more dinner options but the meat loaf was very flavorful.
Was here on Sunday with my nephew. We had the best brunch. The cinnamon roll was absolutely to die for. It was light and airy while being rich and delicious. I had the biscuits and gravy with the maple bacon, it was so good my mouth is watering right now. I will definitely be back.
Enjoyed my meal very much. Drinks were amazing. I would go again and plan to.
Food is great especially the fried chicken. Service was quick. Tables a little small. Had a great window seat that was really cool.
One of the best meals I have ever had! The cheese curds were amazing, as was the steak tartare and pu-pu platter. The cherry pie and almond ice cream dessert didn’t compare to the rest of the meal, but I’m not a big cherry fan. This place will definitely be a stop the next time I am in Philly. The only real drawback was the less than attentive wait staff.
Simple dinner out while walking the city. Wife and I each had a specialty cocktail at the bar while waiting for our table. We were 20 minuets early for reservation. Gin Gatsby was ok as well as the Friose. Nothing to write home about.
How lucky for us that we got seated in the front of the dining room in the window- seats usually reserved for the “pretty people” lol. We split a foie gras appetizer. Sourdough bread that accompanied it was divine. Actually thought the Foie mousse may have been a bit old as it was slightly separated and a tad sour. We did finish it.
The Nashville hot chicken buns that came next are not to be missed. Entree share- corn agnolotti. Omg- one of the best dishes I have eaten this year.
Finished with sharing the caramelized banana cream pie. Another dis not to be missed. Service was spot on and thorough. Really good experience.
Great place to get together with friends and have some fried chicken or fish and chips.
great service and yummy cocktails - but quite loud
Fabulously fun and delicious(the kind of food that with every bite you sit quietly with the others you are dining with and simply say..mmm!) set in what feels to be someone's 70's motif home.
Can't wait to go back.
I was there with some friends for my birthday. I've been to B&Ms before and have always had a good experience when seated at the bar. The food is fine... honestly the service left a little to be desired. I definitely felt like we were rushed.
Delicious brunch. The french toast is to die for, perfect comfort food. Loved it!!
Great food and cocktails! Will definitely be a stop each time I’m in Philly.
The food is good but over priced for what it is. It is a very noisy place where you can barely hear your self thinking let alone the person across the table from you. Service is so-so and not very attentive. Drinks are OK but I have had better. Would not necessarily recommend.
Great mix of atmosphere and good home cooked vibe food - cheese plate, curds, buns, cauliflower, pierogis...awesome
My initial reaction was "Why did we come here, it is so loud?" I could barely hear our conversation. Next I found the menu to be interesting, but very limited -- maybe a dozen entrees. I got the "leg of lamb steak." It was a little tasty, but chewy and not very good. To be fair, my dining mates got the salmon and scallops, which they reported that they liked. They offered two chicken choices, but since I like only white meat, the "1/2 chicken" didn't work for me. Other people apparently like the restaurant better than I did, so don't go exclusively by my review.
