Great place to dine in Philadelphia’s Central City. Start with Marilyn’s hot buns appetizers and her hot chicken. So delicious. We topped it off with the banana cream pie. Great cocktails here as well. Impeccable service.
Great food great service
Highly recommended. Interesting dishes with beautiful presentations.
I believe they have the best pancakes in Philly , amazing brunch experience. I love my waiter as well , awesome customer service .
Delicious food and excellent service! Bloody Mary was excellent too!
Very good brunch spot with interesting and delicious choices. Staff was ver attentive.
Loved the ambiance there. Felt a bit rushed to settle the bill after dinner, when I still had a full beer at hand....but anyways, probably nitpicking. Food is oookay. Was there during Philly restaurant week.
Decor was top notch and well researched; service was lack luster as we only ever saw him when he took our order, grabbed our dessert order and check drop; no check back to see if we needed anything/food was to our liking; food left something to be desired. Nothing set themselves apart from another restaurant doing a similar dish. I would go back for cocktails and that’s about it.
Food is incredible and service is always great. Love this place!
We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary. Great food and drinks, worth every penny.
Went to Bud my only issue is it's just too close aka right in there, you barely have enough room to move to and from your table.
Food was excellent and great servers
Food was delicious. Came quickly and exactly as ordered. Would definitely recommend to friends and family
My first time and a Great Visit during Restaurant Week
and before we saw the show "Riverdance" at the Merriam Theatre.
The waiter was great - food was perfect! Seating is tight but ok!
1/21/2020 A bit loud but food fresh and good!
Everyone enjoyed their selections from the restaurant week menu. Vegan options were especially good and should be a part of the everyday menu. Good options overall. Great meal.
Good selection of food. Very delicious!
We were VERY pleased with Bud and Marilyn's! First of all the "pairings wine list" was a reasonable cost and was PERFECT with our meal. The meal was delicious...I had the vegan options and they were delicious unlike other restaurants I have been to lately. We will definitely go back!
The service and dinner was wonderful.
Service was sub par. Food came out slowly and the wait staff did not show interest in our table.
Per usual the food was amazing. I enjoyed resturant week here and i can’t wait to be back.
A lovely restaurant week menu! Lots of options especially for dietary needs(vegetarian and lactose intolerant)
I went during restaurant week. Service was fast. Food was good.
The food is delicious with creative accompaniments and beautiful presentation.
everything was great ! service , how quickly the food came out , how delicious the food was . it’s was great overall
The cheese curds were delicious, as other reviews have mentioned. We had a beautiful table by the window which helped with the noise, and the red beet citrus salad was so packed with flavor, I was very impressed. The fried chicken bucket had a LOT of fries, which were pretty good but not fantastic. Courteous waitstaff.
1st time dining here. Had heard good things. Just stopped in for a quick brunch with my bestie. Place was smaller than I thought, so you can imagine that Sunday brunch was a popular time. All of the dishes passing by my table looked phenomenal and definitely had me wanting to plan another visit to try other items. Today, however, I settled on the Nashville Hot Chicken Biscuit with fries (could have had a salad but hey, I wanted all the fatness today). I also added their cheddar bacon sausage patty. The star of this meal was the sausage patty. It was juicy with a little spicy kick. The biscuit was also good. Thick enough to withstand the weight of the breaded chicken breast and slaw, but not dry. The fries were a tad too salty, but we're golden brown and crispy. I only wished there was more of a seasoning on the chicken breast. Maybe the slaw, pickles and ranch sauce were supposed to make up for the lack of taste with the chicken, but I think a little seasoning would have taken this sandwich over the top. I definitely recommend, make sure to make a reservation if you go for brunch. Can't wait to explore the rest of the menu. Oh, and if you are an eggs and meat person, might I suggest the Ohio Truck Stop dish. Eggs, bacon, hasbrowns, ham, that delicious cheddar bacon sausage, and brioche toast. Yum!
Fantastic Sunday brunch spot- every dish was on point! Atmosphere was fun and energetic without being too loud. We ordered the Pecan Cinnamon Bun and Yogurt to share and then each ordered our own meals. The Shakshukah was incredible!
The fried chicken was amaze. Cheese curbs were good. And the buttermilk biscuit was incredible !! Great spot
The meal was very creative, well prepared and delicious, with friendly and knowledgeable servers. We will definitely go back and recommend to friends. We just thought the wine pours were a little stingy and would like a greater number of selections that are not hot/spicy.
Went for restaurant week. Worth it! The food and drinks were amazing. Definitely will be going back!
I would tell a fiend brunch was good but I am not sure about evening dining. Barbara
beet/salmon bagel very good biscuit and gravy okay definitely not enough gravy fried chicken moist cold slaw disappointing
I always love the cheese curds. The waitstaff was great and very attentive at all the right times. Just an overall pleasant experience.
Amazing service, creative menu, I took every suggesting from our server and was so pleased- we will return!
Great food. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing! Fried chicken was better than home made. The portions were large, not like other CC restaurants. Would def recommend and return!
Visited Bud & Marilyn’s for Philadelphia Restaurant Week. B&M did not disappoint. Great menu selection for the $35.00 prix fixe, no culinary shortcuts. Knowledgeable service and prime seating by the window—what’s not to like? Will definitely visit in the future.
My husband and I visited this restaurant during Restaurant week and thus, would likely not have visited otherwise. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service. I had short ribs and my husband ordered the meatloaf. Both entrees were well seasoned, nicely presented, and appropriately priced. We chose the wine pairing menu which completed our meal. Although noisy, we could still have a conversation. Our waiter was attentive, contributing to our enjoyable dining experience.
