The ahi tuna was subpar. The sauce was unbalanced and overwhelming. The scallop and grits dish was a disappointment. The grits were heavy and the texture was unpleasant. The snapper was good but $40 for fish and boiled potatoes was a bit much. Filet was fine.
Loved the waterfront location and outstanding service for dinner. Ordered the crab cakes and tuna dip. Both were good, but the grouper was better.
I'm glad we tried Bud & Alleys on our trip to Seaside. As it was our first time at Seaside, we quickly learned how expensive everything was, we thought Bud & Alley's was more expensive than nearby options.
Very loud restaurant!!
Delicious food. Server was very good. Had requested via open table a window table a couple of weeks ahead of time which was not acknowledged at check in
Another great meal at Bud & Alley's. The best service we've had on 30 A. All of the recommendations were perfect, the scallops were my favorite. Good wine list and one of the only beachfront restaurants (although you may not have a view if on the first floor inside). High recommend for special occasions, friends get together. Leave kids at home and enjoy your night at the beach!
Good food and service, great location on the beach although you can’t see much of it unless you are at the upstairs bar. Very busy but nice place to experience.
Beautiful outdoor dining. Charming place. Tuna dip for appetizer was delish!
Great food! Great location! We will definitely be back.
First time visit to Seaside, and we were very excited about our reservation. With reservation called in day before, we were seated at a table facing the outdoor restroom on the left and the waitress' work station /cash register on the right. No view, no 'beach atmosphere' as expected. The menu selections were limited, 2 in our party chose not to order at all due to $ and limited options. They did not want to pay expensive price for something they did not really want. Overall dining experience was not as expected, and our group would not likely return.
service was very disappointing. I don't think our order got turned in until we asked as we saw others who arrived after we ordered, receiving their food. It would have been nice if the waitress acknowledged the mistake.
Location is excellent and you will pay for it. Service was very good and food was good.
Wonderful as always!
It was clear that the management had NOT planned for the holiday weekend crowd. Memorial Day weekend is every year so it should not be a surprise.... Drinks took 25 minutes. It took 25 minutes to get dinner order placed and 30 minutes after that for food that very bad. Seriously, what happened to this once nice place?
We had a great view and great meal. Our only complaint- the Moscow mule wasn’t great & no copper mug!
My family and I were visiting Florida when we went to Bud & Alley's for dinner. Jackie was our server and she made our experience so wonderful! We are from Maryland so I was skeptical about the crab cakes, but they were delicious! The steak and wine were also phenomenal. Thank you again Jackie for the great service! We will be back again next time we are in Florida.
Restaurant can be extremely loud and very informal . Food good but not great.
All the food was very good, but maybe not the best value. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I could see myself going back here when in town.
Long time overdue visit back to very special place with happy memories !! Sabrina was excellent! Keep it up Bud and Alley’s so we can continue to visit !
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Great evening with family and friends.
Many reviews have said this but it needs to be repeated. The food here is good but overpriced. Views are great. Service is good. Seaside is now a booming tourist spot and the traffic and parking is a challenge. If you’re staying in Destin, there are several restaurants that are a better value with great views and much closer.
Food was TERRIBLE. One guest ordered the pasta and the fish was raw and had to be sent back. The grouper was served cold on top of a cold bed of rice and peas that had no taste or seasoning added whatsoever. During our time at the beach this was the worst meal we had. We will not be back.
Don’t waste your money.. food is average.. you are paying for name and resort setting.. if that is all you want then you willbebsatisfied
Excellent! We had a great table, great food, and the location was awesome! We will be back!
Average tasting food and expensive.
We actually ate at Bud and Alley's 3 different times. Dinner for my anniversary. Lunch with my daughter while shopping. Brunch the day we left Seaside/Seagrove. Fab food all three meals!
We had the best crab cakes we have ever eaten.
Nice neighborhood bar/restaurant. We dined downstairs and it was nice just a bit too warm.
The food and service were very good! Thanks.
We were outside at about 5.30 pm. It was beautiful, the food delicious , white tablecloths and service excellent except the water waiter passed in front of my husband to fill my glass. When you pay $147 a meal fo two you don’t expect that .
We also had 2 tables next to us with 6 babies and small children who are obviously going to be a bit noisy . They should place adults with babies on one side and the others on the other under the pergola for instance .
It was a very enjoyable dinner. Excellent
Overall very mediocre experience. Probably won’t be back.
Have been here before and always excellent food. This time, all our meals were just ok. Crab cakes didn’t have a lot of flavor nor did the steak. Gumbo was very good. Just not up to the usual “wow, that was great!” experience. Nice ambiance, had a wonderful table location. Good service.
Crab cakes are hands down the best in Florida
Seated outside immediately with our reservation. We all 3 shared a quail appetizer that was amazingly delicious & very filling. My hubs & I shared the blue cheese wedge salad that good but nothing extraordinary. We all enjoyed entree’s : whole fish, red snapper special, & another entree off the menu. All 3 were tasty. Finally we shared a slice of the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. Again, good but not remarkable. Overall we’d come back for appetizers & the view over & over again.
It’s well located, but food is marginally ok. Limited selections and they don’t allow any substitutions, so you don’t get what you want, you get what they want. I do not recommend.
It was my wife’s birthday.
We love Bud & Alley’s and visit each trip we make to 30a. This trip the food delivery took over an hour from the point that we ordered. The experience was not the excellence we are use to receiving from Bud & Alleys. Hoping it was an off night.
Prompt service, delicious food, ocean views.
We were seated in a small room with two large parties and a couple of other small tables. The noise was so loud we rushed through our dinner so we could leave. We couldn’t hear each other and it was making my ears hurt it was so loud. Service was okay. Food was good, but overpriced for what it was. I know they’re famous and have been around a long time so it’s a popular place. It felt like they were rushing to turn tables. There are so many delicious places along 30A now. Probably won’t go back.
Great spot amidst vacationers and locals alike. Plenty of traffic came through from the beach with many still in swimsuits from the day, but there were also several tables of groups celebrating special occasions, dressed very nicely. We enjoyed our meal; the brussel sprouts are fantastic! The pizza was good, though we built our own since the menu was full of non-traditional fare that didn’t suit us. Finally, we tried a few of the specialty drinks from the bar, and they were good as well. Normally, we would have ordered a glass of wine, but the list was just so-so.
After dinner, there were a ton of shops and vendors to enjoy. The square is definitely worth an extra few hours outside of just eating dinner.
Great table by the window. I had the red snapper with succotash and my husband had the seafood stew. Both were delicious! The stew was a variety of seafood, a ton of seafood. Our waiter was excellent and very attentive. We’ll be back!
