They put us in the kids section, but we suspected it was because we were wearing shorts. The food was amazing tho!
When the salad description is “Heirloom Tomatoes and Peaches” one would not expect the tomatoes to be cherry tomatoes. The food was “meh” from a flavor profile perspective.
Poor service with mediocre food. Our waiter was either on drugs or low IQ. We had to ask him for drinks after he took the food order. Also, Staff was not accommodating prior to our reservation when we asked to bring an additional person, but when we arrived they could have clearly accommodated it.
We love Bud and alleys! Always a favorite! I would highly recommend it to others!! The shrimp pasta was my favorite!!
The food was horrible and way overpriced. The waiter told us they were known for their crab cakes (also the most expensive thing on the menu) & kept going on & on about how amazing they were. Well of course I ordered the crab cakes. Huge mistake! They were extremely bland (literally had no taste). I put salt, pepper, and squeezed a lemon on them to try to amplify the flavors (didn’t work), so I ordered remoulade sauce. He was so shocked I ordered the sauce Bc he says everyone loves him. Long story short, I wouldn’t have minded paying $40 if they were actually amazing, but I’m convinced he actually just wanted me to have a more expensive meal, so he would get a larger tip. I won’t be back for dinner.
Reserved a table for 4 with a view and when I arrived they struggled to find my reservation. After they found it we were seated in a corner with a view of a wall. Terrible.
Great food. Little loud due to families. Waiter was engaging but seemed to forget about us at times.
Great food and drinks amazing beach atmosphere
Melissa took great care of us! Thank you!!!!
We love Bud & Ally’s and the crab cakes, best on 30a anywhere. We also love our server, she’s the best. Thanks for great service as always Melissa, see you again soon.
The whole fish didn’t disappoint.
Nice location; good service. Food was very good, but everything was a bit too heavily seasoned. The scallops were almost too salty to enjoy. We have eaten here many times when visiting Seaside and although good, the food is not as high quality as I would expect.
This was our favorite place in 30A! The location is wonderful and after dinner the kids can go run around on the beach!
Was greatly looking forward to a nice dinner. From the moment we sat down, we were practically rushed out the door. For the price of the meal, we should have been given the opportunity to enjoy our food. This was on a quiet Thursday evening. Not a fan.
The best scallops I have had! My husband and I hand a wonderful dinner.
Good food. Enjoyed the crab cakes and key lime pie. A little over priced for what you receive, but service was very good. There are a lot of seafood restaurants on 30a so I might select one of those over bud and alleys. It’s great, but not excellent. The restaurant was also very noisy inside.
Food was really disappointing! Ceviche was terrible. Salad was drowned in vinaigrette. Steak overcooked. Sides were not good. We used to love eating here but its not worth it anymore.
Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgable. We have been here before and will continue to return on future visits
if you are in Seaside, you have to visit Bud & Alley's!
Unfortunately, the grilled fish was over cooked. We enjoyed the rest of the experience.
Great food at a Seaside favorite. We went to Bud and Alleys on our family vacation based on recommendations from friends. It’s located in the cute town of Seaside which makes for a great setting but parking is tough. The food was wonderful and everyone enjoyed their dishes. The atmosphere was surprisingly casual given the caliber and price of the food. We dressed up a little but shorts would have been fine. The only thing that was disappointing is that there was no ocean view. FYI - This is also one of the few restaurants in the area where you can make a reservation.
Beautiful sunset
Nice date night
Great food
Get the crab cakes! The best I’ve ever had. Blood orange margarita was delicious too.
Dined upstairs. Beautiful view, great food, outstanding service
I was disappointed in the service and food. We felt rushed and that the food had been prepared in advance so they could turn tables. Wait staff was just going through the motions not really interested in creating a dining experience. Restroom was being remodeled and had to use porta-potty which I was not thrilled with either.
Melissa provided very good service. Sautéed scallops are excellent as well as the boiled shrimp. Recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
Always our favorite place to go when we come to 30a. I chose it for Mother’s day. It would have been a nice touch to give Mother’s a free drink, appetizer or dessert. Just a thought
Absolutely delicious food. Attentive service that made this mama feel special on Mother’s Day!
Food was good but not great would have liked to have something other than swordfish as fish of the day. You can get that anywhere. Service was very good. Table setting was good with nice linen. Overall a little disappointing as we have heard such great things. Give me Surfing Deer anytime as they are about the same price range.
My wife an I planned to have our anniversary dinner here since it was on the beach and well-known for the area. Unfortunately, I feel that the hype was not lived up to and it really wasn't as nice as everyone else made it out to be. The food was definitely fresh but not worth $40 per plate. I don't feel that my experience should have cost as much as it did. We were in and out within an hour... Good food, not a great experience.
Love the whole fish!
Excellent food and ambiance. Very fresh and very tasty! Would come back in a heartbeat!
We enjoyed it!
It was not good. We split the whole fish and it was terribly burned. My wife cannot eat potatoes which were served in a separate ramekin and they would not substitute the side dish even though the restaurant was not crowded.
Our wonderful waiter, Drew, made the evening! We took his recommendations for dinner and it was perfection! The crab cakes were the best we’ve ever had! Highly recommend Bud and Alley and ask for Drew!
Food and service was perfect in dinning room downstairs. In bar on upper deck our waitress spent more time talking to her friends behind bar then doing her job. She blamed the bar tender even though we all saw her standing around doing nothing but talking to friends. Instead of having several drinks and maybe an appetizer we left after 1 drink. Close to ruining a great experience.
Overall really good food but no “water view” from the inside. Must have to sit up on the roof to see that. For such a high end dining place it’s a shame that they won’t let you substitute anything on the menu. Kids were disappointed there were no French fries.
Over priced and under served
Awesome meal and lovely view. We plan to become regulars
Found the food to be enjoyable but slightly chewy calamari and sourdough was slightly burnt. Felt a little over priced.
