Buckley's Great Steaks Ratings and Reviews
Our meals were outstanding. Though the restaurant was very busy (Thursday) our server was attentive and out drinks and meals came out after a decent wait.
I always say the sign of a good restaurant is that the meal - all components of it come to the table hot and ours were piping hot. I had the beef stroganoff - it was superb in every way. The husband had the filet mignon which was cooked to his liking. And our third party had cider gazed salmon. He said the brussel sprouts and spatzle were to die for and the salmon was crispy and perfectly cooked.
Though it is a touch expensive - $180 for three - it was worth the cost and we will be back soon for more scrumptious meals.
My meal was not correct with the exception of the mashed potatoes. I asked for green beans got asparagus Asked that my stake not have pink and well it was very red so I guess they did not give me pink. I asked that my plate not be wet with sause and I had to replate it at the table. So overall a big fail for Buckley’s
Recently dined at Buckley’s for a dinner with friends. We have visited the past few years and luckily this great find hasn’t changed a bit. Though the dinners can be a bit pricey, the meal is large where even taking home leftovers is the norm. The quality of food was excellent, and our server was pleasant and knowledgeable. We of course will be back when we visit the area again. Don’t miss out on a great place to eat.....but don’t forget to make a reservation......this place gets very busy during peak hours!
Arrived early for our reservations but they sat us right down in a perfect location.
Service was prompt and accurate.
Had the prime rib and it was perfect.
The only thing I would like to see is more by the glass wine selection.
The desert selection is better than the last time we were there.
The occasion was my daughter and son-in-law's 6th wedding anniversary. The wait staff was very energetic and knowledgeable. I got the house salad and my daughter got appetizers. All were excellent. I go the special ribeye steak. It was cooked properly and was excellent. My son-in law got the cowboy steak and my daughter got the filet mignon. All were excellent. For dessert, I got the orange-cranberry sorbet. My daughter got the wild blueberry crisp. They were fantastic. We all enjoyed our festive meal and will definitely come back again!!
Nice window seat table through Open Table reservation in quiet, cozy room. Prime rib one of the leanest pieces I've ever been served and nice to have an option of which cut of prime rib diner wanted. Filet mignon cooked to perfection, too. Brought our own bottle of wine as $25 corkage fee seemed reasonable.
Service was very good and food was well presented with very good flavor. Recommend the pepper encrusted filet mignon and poutine special. Several smaller rooms with dining tables in them so that the sound can either be very quiet or be overwhelming if there is an energetic party in the room too.
Just a fabulous meal! Special lamb ribs were amazing...wish we had met the chef to tell him in person how fantastic they were...AND I may have converted my husband to really appreciate lamb! Our server (I am embarrassed I don’t remember her name..so very sorry) was fabulous! Can’t say enough about Buckley’s!
We've eaten here in the past and loved it, so this is where we go when we want a good experience. The food was excellent as always, with the exception of the cappuccino I ordered that tasted like warm dishwater with coffee grounds lightly soaked in it for a minute or two. The problem with this experience was the waitress, Constantine. My mother gave her a decent tip, but regretted it in the car, agreeing with me that Constantine was hostile from the moment I asked her for the soda for my son.
Constantine took drinks orders and brought over all of the wine, but forgot my son and was annoyed when I asked her for the soda after she finished taking another table's order. Usually, you get a table set up with menus, drinks and bread and then go to another table. It was nicely busy, but not packed with people and she didn't seem to be racing around. I have no problem waiting for service if the person is nice or apologetic and the place is crazy, but our dinner went from 5:30 to 8pm, which left us waiting lengthy periods for courses. She tried to rush the appetizers off the table, yet we waited forever for entrees. I had a ten-year-old with me and we'd hoped to have good service as we have every other time. For a $250 dollar meal, you don't want to be grudgingly served by an angry waitress who appears inconvenienced by doing her job. I'm afraid to go back because I don't know if it's possible/not massively rude to request not to have that waitress, but she really killed our enjoyment of the meal. And no, I'm not someone who makes a billion special requests, and I treat people nicely because I used to waitress too. I just want somebody who isn't hostile! I didn't even send the cappuccino back...
We come here for family events and date nights. It is one of two places for this foodies Culinary delights in this area where creativity is involved. The staff is always top notch, which speaks to the importance the management sees in the success of everyone associated with the operation.
